Myself and my fiancé visited this resort and it was an excellent hotel, in a lovely part of Malta. The hotel was very clean, with very nice and obliging staff who were extremely helpful. The breakfast offered a great choice of foods including continental style, cooked traditional English breakfast foods, as well as cold meats and cheeses with an array of pastries. The room was lovely, with a comfortable bed and lovely shower and bath facility, as well as a balcony to relax on. The resort has its own private beach area which is only a short walk away, as well as having 2 outdoor swimming pools. The housekeeping staff were extremely efficient, and always left the rooms looking fresh and new. The bar area is very welcoming and relaxing providing a good choice of cocktails at a fair price. I would 100% come back here, and although this is my first visit to Malta, so I do not have anything to compare it to in terms of other hotels in Malta, I would say that it has been a brilliant experience so far staying here and have enjoyed every minute of it

Ok get over the fact that they are currently building an extension , it’s not much of a disadvantage and there is very little noise to be concerned about ,that on the whole is the only negative it doesn’t bother me but might others . Yes the hotel is situated on the quieter part of the island not much about unless you take a cab or bus into the busier resorts , the gozo ferry is only a 20 minute walk from hotel and you can take a return trip for under 5euro and is a great day out , the hotel itself is spotless and the food on offer is quality and the staff are friendly and will go out of their way to help with help travelling around and anything you need during your stay , the spa is fantastic take advantage of at least one of the treatments on offer it won’t disappoint ,would recommend lovely ( that’s her name !) to do a treatment she was fantastic . On the whole I can recommend even with the work going on ,but if you want to wait till it’s finished I’m sure it will improve the set up which is A1 …..

This is our second stay at the resort and we were a little disappointed. First time had been great (I then gave a 5 stars review) Pros : - Staff is very efficient and welcoming - Buffet is generous and food is very good - Rooms are great and clean Cons : First, let me say that we have nothing against people from outside the hotel using the swimming-pool. We have nothing against families with children at the pool (we had 2 daughters ourselves). We discovered, once on site, that the hotel sells daily entries to the swimming-pool to people outside the hotel. They sometimes sell so many entries that the pool is be over-crowded. If you are lucky, only a few people will come and the pool will be quiet and you'll have a lot of room. if you are unlucky, and we have been on several occasions, there will be so many people that you will have issues finding a seat. One time we had to take the last two remaining seats, that nobody wanted, near the bin. We talked with some guests of the hotel who told us that some days, they'd rather avoid the pool and stay in there room to avoid issues. We were not happy with that situation because we had not been informed about that policy when we booked our room. If we had known that the hotel would try to make more money by transforming the pool into a public swimming-pool we would have chosen a different hotel. Enjoying calm days at the pool was our main goal (the hotel is far from everything and we chose it mainly to have a quiet stay at the pool) Once again, I have nothing with people using the pool. I'm just disappointed because, in order to make more money, the hotel Management decreases the customer experience. I also removed a star to my review because I sent an email to the Sales Team of the the hotel to complain about the situation and only received a very mean answer from their part. No apologies, no proposition to correct the situation, only mean comments.

Spent a day at this beautiful hotel. We were very kindly shown around by the front of house member of staff, a lovely Italian lady. We were staying at the hotel opposite but were very curious to see what was happening at Ramala bay hotel as it is in the process of being extensively developed. Please do not let this put you off. The building work going on along side it is very quiet as it is only cranes working and NOT any heavy construction machinery. We spent a week alongside it at the Labrandra Riviera hotel and it was in no way noisy at all. The interior of the Ramala bay hotel is stunning to put it mildly, a beautiful atrium greets you as you walk past the reception area, and it is absolutely stunning, the restaurant is so well run and has a fantastic choice of Meat, and Vegetarian and Vegan dishes to meet all requirements. The 2 outdoor pools are beautiful and clean and there is an indoor pool and spa, and also a shop in the hotel itself. Currently due to the extension and construction work there are 200 rooms available in the hotel. After spending time in the beautiful hotel we were really disappointed that we as a couple had not booked to stay here instead of the Labrandra Riviera, which cannot compare to Ramala Bay. Our advice would be to choose this hotel and do not be put off by the work going along side it. It is truly 5 stars.

Another relaxing, wonderful stay at Ramla Bay We have been many times before and we are never disappointed. The staff are super helpful and welcoming, Alex on reception made us feel welcome even though it was a late arrival. The pool bar staff are exceptional, kind, efficient, area kept spotless. Our suite was kept very clean, even through the exceptional heatwave there was no reduction in standards. Yassim in the dining room was a highlight, remembered us from previous visits, happy to share information and always very happy. Most evenings we went to the bar and enjoyed the delicious cocktails, at the weekend there is live music which we enjoyed very much. The staff are exceptionally hard working and friendly, nothing too much trouble. Only slight disappointment was the spa have ceased doing manicures and pedicures but it wasn’t such a big deal as we popped over to the Raddison, made a change of scene. But it did mean that we didn’t use the spa this year at all as we had such a good experience there. Next years family holiday will be at Ramla Bay again. Looking forward to it already. Thank you for another lovely break.

Fabulous stay at a great hotel located in a quiet part of the island but close to bus stop and other restaurants in the nearby hotel as well as the nice Italian restaurant in the hotel. Breakfast was varied and delicious every morning. Loved the omelettes. Cakes were also very good. Bedroom with a sea view and balcony was nice and spacious. Nice hotel pool. Didn’t get a chance to check out the coffee shop but I expect it was great because it looked it. Having a mini market was handy. If I was to come back to Malta I would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great holiday.

Just returned from 5 nights and 6 days at the Ramla Bay and I had to leave a review because so many people are quick to only leave negative reviews! I was travelling with my sister, 4 year old disabled son and baby niece and we could not fault our experience. Staff were extremely helpful, welcoming and kind, they all made a real fuss of the children. We literally stayed on site the entirety of our stay and didn't venture out once as the pools were perfect for the kiddos to relax. There was a small indoor soft play the kids loved playing in every morning after breakfast. There are 2 large outdoor pool and a smaller kids pool which was perfect for them even if they did take come getting used to the saltwater! We ordered lunch from the pool bar everyday, couldn't fault the breakfast buffet for quantity or quality, dined in the Italian one evening, ordered room service a couple of times and had a couple of cocktails in the bar one evening. We found all the portions to be huge, tasty and excellent value for money. A big part of the reason we booked this hotel was because it was in a quiet location, we loved there was no loud garish entertainment and just sat on our balcony watching boats every evening. If I could give one suggestion it would be more comfy furniture for the balcony, the chairs are very hard! It is also a good 45-60 minute trip to the airport depending on the time of day and we definitely had a dodgy taxi driver on our arrival so make sure you book a good one! (we did this independently and not through the hotel) We had a panoramic suite which was perfect for us as it effectively meant we had an interconnecting room with a small basic kitchen, the fridge was very welcomed. My sister and niece in one side and my son and I in the other, 2 bathrooms was very helpful with 2 kids and plenty of space on the balcony for us all. As for the building work, yes there are 4 cranes on site and yes the car park is not ideal but it didn't affect our trip at all. In fact it was an added bonus to my construction obsessed 4yr old, shouting with excitement everytime he saw a crane move! There was no noise from the works at all, the jet skis and boats make more noise and we couldn't see the work from our room, just the pool area, which didn't bother us. We didn't use the spa so can't comment there. The hotel wasn't that busy (we went out of school holidays so don't know how busy it would get in August) there was always plenty of sunbeds free, no long queues or crazy wait times for anything. Pools were never crowded or noisy, my son often had the kids pool to himself all day, which is absolutely made the most of! The perfect first holiday for my niece and sister and a relaxing trip for me & my son. I will be back!
