Pros - food & drink was good. Room was very spacious. Tranfers to & from airport were good. Pool had lovely views. Condition of room - very spacious but falling apart. There was mold near the air con which we didn't turn on as a result. Also everything you touched was half broken or on the verge e.g. the towel rail or shower head. Shower - it would fill up very quickly & take forever!!! To drain. As a result we would have 2-3 min showers max. It would overflow very quick, as I discovered on the first eve! Sky Pool - All the seats by the pool get taken. I was told the pool opened at 10 but who knows? As most of the chairs had been sold to non hotel guests as part of the "day at the pool" experience. The others were taken by people who got there at 6-7am each morning and claimed them with towels! Staff members shrugged their shoulders as if they knew but didn't care. Shuttle bus - I asked to book a couple of days in advance, but the receptionist was incredibly reluctant to do so. I explained we were out all day tomorrow so would prefer to book today. She did so but with such an attitude. Was told I was only allowed to book transport there and not the way home. She suggested originally that I book on the day, however I'm not sure how this would of worked as the bus was fully booked in advance when we went. The driver also went way to fast down narrow & windy roads. And it wasn't clear if you could get a lift back, even though the receptionist insisted we had to book through the driver & not with her. Housekeeping - was good but seemed very erratic when they did/did not clean.

We were altogether 20 artists from various countries taking part in the UNESCO Malta event Colours for Peace. The allocated rooms/apartments were exceptionally cozy and clean with clean sheets/ towels etc supplied daily. The small kitchenette complete with refrigerator, small oven, kettle, cupboards and sink and tableware provided the necessary needs for those wishing to provide their own food, without any restrictions whatsoever. The small hotel Minimarket incorporated within the complex provided all the necessary items of food etc which anyone could ever on a holiday away from home. need. The abundance of food choices served at breakfast, lunch and dinner were excellent with a variety of items that surely satisfied everybody's appetite. The two pools, one heated indoors and the other at rooftop level complete with a well-stocked bar are ideal for those who prefer a quiet swim. The location of the Holiday Complex, situated just a couple of hundred meters from the island's largest sandy beach makes it an ideal location for sea lovers and children alike, and the bus stop just outside the Complex's main entrance is an added bonus for those who wish to travel inland and explore the local towns and villages, especially the capital, Valletta. Lastly I want to mention the hospitality of the hotel staff, who were always eager to give their utmost to help anyone who need them. I would strongly recommend the Luna Holiday Complex, in Mellieha, Malta to single persons, families and groups who would like to make their stay on the Island a memorable one,

We had a newly upgraded standard room overlooking farm land and the amazing church on the hilltop. Hotel perfect. Pool on roof gorgeous on hot days. Plenty of bars and restaurants around, even out of season. Bus ticket at 20€ for a week great way to see the island and Gozo too. Reception staff helpful, bar reasonable. Yes the beds are weirdly hard and the recycling not yet up to speed, housekeeping just gathering it all from the sections of the room recycling bin and bunging it into one black sack, but hey, minor niggles. Plenty of clean linen and room cleaning available. Entertainment stopped after our first night but then the world cup has kicked in so maybe that was planned that way? We had a fabulous holiday which was superb value for money.

Booked 2 weeks half board through Jet2 holidays The room we were allocated was spacious with facilities to cook our own lunch, large comfortable bed, shower cubicle a bit son the small side but usable. Downside was that the room had no windows, just a single door at the end of the apartment letting in little or zero daylight. Really depressing. After persistently complaining we were eventually moved after day 6 to a room with double patio doors. The hotel itself was fine, good location and facilities. Breakfast and evening meals were really quite good for a 3 star hotel.Wonderful cream cakes! The hotel staff were excellent, always polite and helpful ,particularly the restaurant staff at the twilight lounge bar, Special thanks to Rita, kanykei and Miraj, you you always made us feel really special and welcome at table No 12. Lovely people. Probably best to book direct with hotel to ensure a room will better lighting . I would advise hiring a car for your stay. Bus service was ok but as all nationals now have a free pass, you will be lucky to get a seat.

Very clean complex with friendly staff. Easy walking distance to a few restaurants and the beach. Loads of bus routes to get around the island which are extremely cheap and comfortable. The pool on the roof is excellent with its own bar. Nice buffet and al a carte restaurant. Room was nice and clean TV was small and only had one English Channel (BBC news 24). Shower was awful, alternated from hot to cold, quite dangerous! Rooms seemed to be cleaned every other day.

There are plenty of pros to this hotel, most of which can be attributed to the staff who were all brilliant. There wasn’t a single member of staff we didn’t feel gave an amazing level of service. The lobby is clean, modern, and welcoming. The roof bar/pool are exceptional. The panoramic views of the sea and the old town from the roof pool area were some of the best in town. The bar food was also good, although we didn’t eat in the restaurant so cannot comment. The rooms had all the amenities you’d need, they were well cleaned, although were rough around the edges and in need of modernisation (I believe they are in the process of refurbishing rooms as we speak). We also had a significant issue with our cooker in the first room, but we were given a new room the moment it was identified. The beds were a real let down for us. The mattresses are exceptionally firm, and being side sleepers we found this very uncomfortable. We had very kindly been given a 2 bed apartment despite only booking a studio, so we had 2x spare duvets we used as a make shift mattress topper which helped a little. Parking was easy with street parking front and back, and we found the mini market downstairs to be one of the cheapest and best stocked shops in town (you really have to drive out of town to Lidl to find anything cheaper!). Overall you get a lot more than you pay for with Luna, and any imperfections with the hotel can be more than made up for by the brilliant staff team. We enjoyed our stay, and on reflection we would stay again, although we may ask if there’s anything they can do about the mattress in future. Top tip - book direct! The reservations team are very responsive and will always price match, and if you book direct you also get free Wi-Fi throughout the hotel, as well as a few other perks.

First time in Malta, absolutely loved our stay, room clean but dated, the other areas in the hotel were modern. We loved the Sky pool, bar and restaurant and the bar at the entrance. Had food there once or twice which was lovely. All staff are really friendly. Malta is easy to get about, hotel well positioned on a regular bus route. We will stay again.

This was our first time to Malta, we had a fantastic holiday, the hotel was perfectly located, close to the beach and restaurants, the public transport on Malta is great, we bought travel cards from reception and the member of staff was really helpful and explained how it worked , the bus stops were very close by, perfect way to explore the island. The hotel was really great, helpful, friendly staff, really good choice of food for breakfast, and the food at Tonino bar was excellent, the two guys that worked there were really good, always a smile! We stayed in a 2 bed apartment, it was perfect, clean, plenty of room, nice sea view, can’t fault it. My son thoroughly enjoyed using the gym and pools, the sky lounge pool and bar is a fantastic spot to relax and enjoy the views. There is a supermarket on site which is very good value and stocks everything. We had a great time at Luna hotel and can’t wait to return. Many thanks to all the staff for a brilliant holiday.
