A very well managed resort. Clean and tidy - very well maintained. Excellent accommodation. Pool areas spotless and lovely gardens. Butterflies and birds appreciated the trees and flowers. Our room was cleaned daily. Highly recommended.

Hotel's Favorite
What a lovely place to stay, the gardens, pools, staff, views are all excellent and we could not find any fault with the place. We originally booked a studio but we asked for an upgrade which we got and so we were in Villa Miraflor 233. The villas have 6 individual villas in a block and 233 was in the middle so no stairs to deal with. The villa had a large bedroom with two single beds pushed together , tv in the room , dressing table , wardrobe with free safe. The bathroom had double sinks , jacuzzi bath, bidet, and what I call a human car wash shower , it was so invigorating. Kitchen / living room ( which has a pull out double bed/ sofa) is spacious. Another tv which has BBC 1, ITV & Sky news , table and chairs with the kitchen having everything you need even an electric juicer so lovely fresh orange juice every morning. The wow factor is the balcony which has two lovely loungers and another set of tables and chairs and the most wonderful view of the sea, dunes, a local park, holiday world , the whole area in fact and a superb sun trap for the early part of the day. The pool and gardens are superb , immaculately maintained. No all games in the pool which they do impose, no large inflatables. They do tell you on arrival about not reserving sun beds but in all honesty that seemed to be totally ignored, we sat by a group of 6 beds that had towels on for two hours that eventually were used. Your room comes with towels for the pool too. The clientele are in the majority older German couples but there were Dutch and Swedish here too and not that many Brits although English is the common language the staff seem to use. The poolside bar is ok , the food average but sufficient as a snack bar. Did have a Mohito once but it was only once it was awful. Prices here are again ok. The supermarket is excellent and basic, but there is a huge Spar less than a 5 minute walk away which has everything. There is little in the way of things to do around the local area, a large shopping complex you can see from the hotel is a 10 minute walk way under the motorway and that has a bigger supermarket and a few posh shops. Taxis, there is a rank right outside the hotel and basically it’s about 4 to 5 euros to anywhere. Our villa for 8 nights was about £800 in February and we thought it was excellent value. Housekeeping was everyday, staff very helpful and friendly and the whole place very relaxing.

Maybe I’m not as fussy as other reviewers but I really loved this hotel! It’s beautiful, 2 separate pools one full of children & the other quiet & peaceful which we appreciated. The pool bar is in the middle & has 2 happy hours a day & food was grand for lunch. We didn’t eat in the hotel restaurant. Our room was great we stayed in the studio which was close to reception & the entrance of the hotel. We had a balcony that over looked the tennis court. Kitchen was fully equipped. The shop has everything you’d need. The bare essentials but there’s a large shopping centre a short walk away. Lovely Chinese restaurant across the road from the hotel. Taxi rank right outside hotel entrance & taxis are cheap. This hotel is stunning & I’d recommend to everyone! Our room was cleaned every day. We didn’t have A/C but a fan & it’s November so not roasting! Would highly recommend for a relaxing holiday.

Hotel is nice, pool bar personel a little bit bored, but never been in four star hotel that hasn't A/C. Well they do have it, but it is on only summer months, when offseason October, they don't bother to put it on. I and I heard many others ask this, talked about same problem with many other clients. So no sleep at night, because room were terrible hot. So sad, that this ruined our thought about this hotel.

Response from Palm Oasis, Otros at Palm Oasis Maspalomas

Dear customer, thank you for your comment. There is an error in your comment because we are not a four-star hotel but a three-star hotel. This is how it is advertised on all relevant hotel websites. In addition, there is a large sign at the entrance of the hotel where it clearly says that we are a three-star hotel. Consequently our prices are those of a three-star hotel. In addition to this error, our air conditioning service is available during the summer months, as it is advertised on all websites from which our accommodation can be booked. October is not summer. Even so, when the temperature rises considerably we put the A / C on. This is what happened this October, we decided to put the air conditioning specifically on the date you wrote this comment, but sadly You have not bothered to delete or update it, deliverately misleading the rest of Tripadvisor users. Kind regards.

We had a lovely stay at the Palm Oasis - great room with a nice view of the town. Pool and pool bar were perfect and the tennis court kept us active on the trip. The only call out is that the Hotel decided to turn the air-conditioning off half way through our holiday for the whole hotel.... because it is now Winter? May I add it was still 30 degrees every day after this decision was made by the hotel. This made it very hard to sleep at night. When the topic was raised, there were no portable fans available and the reception staff felt helpless to solve the problem as they said the decision was made by the owners of the hotel. We would revisit the Palm Oasis for sure, but I would want Palm Oasis to revisit their air conditioning policy in the meantime.
