Great for walk quiet and clean. It was not busy in March. I walked from Praia de Santo Antonio, good for couples, families and solo ;) there are bikes for rent in Monte Gordo and you can continue cycling to further explore the area, fair infrastructure and lots of places with fresh seafood on the way

2nd time in Monte Gordo, first time in this hotel. Saw the review: a few bad and a few good. My first day I arrived early around 11.30 but the room was ready, so no problem. People wrote about the terrible food. I had no problem. Food was warm. Breakfast was good. No tea but water or juice is there also. So no problem. Do know the place so my mindset was if it is not good I eat outside. But after two days I still have a great time here. Room is really big, seaside view. Asked that during booking and got it. I asked for the busstop to go to Ayamonte and in a second I got an explanation where the busstop is, the timetable, the timetable for the ferry. I really do not know why people were so negative. Oke it is not a 4 star hotel but a 3 it is and that will do just fine. And for the people who said you need to pay 7,50 hours per day for tourist tax that is not correct. 1 euro a night per person. Only thing when you are a vegetarian I think night and breakfast will be beter. There is for dinner not that many choose. The wifi is oke something slowly but hey we don't need to be on the wifi the whole day. People who were mad about this stayed in their room whole day. But an 8 for me. Day 3 and still enjoying my stay here.

The best: the food. That came as a surprise - full board was very convenient for us. Meals were simple, tasty and with enough diversity throughout our stay. Second best: proximity to the beach. Spacious and a very quiet sea. We got lucky and even got the opportunity to get some waves!!!! ☺️ At least for a six year old - some huge and radical waves!!! The hotel has been around for a couple of years and a renovation might be something to consider (design refresh and update, beds and mattresses, increase parking options,…). It was crowded in August and the lifts were always busy. An update on the current system might improve the overall efficiency of the lifts. However, the staff was extremely welcome and warm. Always ready to solve any issue that came along!

This hotel highly lacks in service and hospitality It is a stone's throw away to beach.which is very convenientl and the view from.the rooms are spendid . During my.stay the room.phone did not.work so.to.call.reception.had to use by mobile . Asked for a basic object such.as a recipient. to.make ice but they could no .supply. me with one Missing a bath towel ,was told to come down to reception and get one.as opposed to being.told that they apologise for the inconvenience and that one would be brought to.the room When I.pay a substantial amount for a room.I expect a better service !!!

We stayed in this hotel for 8 nights. The positives: 1. The staff were all friendly 2. It’s close to the beach and there are a lot of bars in a short walk 3. The room was very clean. The negatives 1. They have no tea coffee facilities in the rooms 2. They have neither irons or a laundry service 3. The food wasn’t great, typical 3 star hotel buffet food. One morning at breakfast all the cooked food was cold. Even the pan of bacon that they had brought out 30 seconds before. If you want somewhere as a base for a holiday it is OK. Would I stay there again? No

I have wanted to stay at this hotel for many years now but only got the opportunity this summer. We were a large family group and got 3 bedrooms. I did book the cheapest rooms all on the ground floor. Rooms were allocated randomly and not close to each other. Apparently we should have specified this during booking even if all rooms are on a single booking. Rooms are big and can sleep 4 comfortably (2 adults and 2 kids). Wifi signal was very poor in all rooms. Rooms require refurbishment and upholstery a deep clean as yellow couches appear brownish and stained. Breakfast buffet was quite good and flowed well despite the necessary social distancing measures. Pool area is pleasant but some tiles missing from pool floor. Hotel is located across from a great beach with excellent amenities. We found the staff to have a constant chip on their shoulder, always a quick and curt reply to simple questions (particularly from the receptionists). The lady managing the pool entrance was the nicest staff member we met our entire stay. Left with very mixed feelings regarding our stay but would say overall disappointing.

This large hotel has apartments called suites. Our one bedroom had two bathrooms which a nice surprise. We had an amazing view from the balcony overlooking the glorious beach with sun on it all day. Indoor pool was lovely and not busy at this time of year. Great for plenty of walks as flat location, walk along the decking especially to the last cafe. Great setting even able to sit on the top watching life going by a must. People just keep going back to this area. Monte Gordo is a special area for the elderly in the winter months. Really good weather for February.

This is a big hotel. The Atrium and reception is welcoming and staff very helpful Thank You...We visited out of season the hotel is mostly EU citizens enjoying some winter sun. We were on the 12th floor with a breathtaking view of the beach and boardwalk. The room was adequately furnished with comfy beds. The cleaners attended on a daily basis. Breakfast was OK but pretty basic. We were bed and breakfast. At nighttime despite the breakfast room being crowded there was never anyone about in the bar the bar staff were friendly and attentive. I found out later that most guests were walkers or cyclists so early beds. The location was a short walk from the beach/boardwalk with newly built restaurants just perfect. I would highly recommend La Terrazza authentic Italian restaurant across from the Casino newly opened and food amazing
