Apart hotel basic, very humble, cleanliness and impeccable staff, keep in mind that on Sunday there is no cleaning. Very small TV and with few channels, only the room was that had air conditioning, which made it difficult for good nights of sleep. Amazing view to the beach, excellent location, next to restaurants, supermarket and other trade. Parking in the hotel very expensive and in the city is paid everywhere, which makes the stay very expensive.

Basic room, good shower. Too bad you don't have a made-up bed at 2pers room. We have put 2 seats together. Doesn't make you feel welcome. Nice sea view and good location. Breakfast very basic and in different hotel, not cozy. Certainly advance car provided, seaside resort is outdated and lacks holiday feeling. Average age tourist 65+.

We stayed at the hotel on the weekend of July 4-7. We had a room on the 15th floor overlooking the beach. The place was very clean and looks like it had been updated recently. My only quibble with the room was the fact that it only had air conditioning in the bedroom and not in the livingroom/kitchen area where it was quite hot most of the day. The lobby is a bit shabby as is the restaurant that is attached to the hotel but we did not try the food there.
The beach is just across the road and we had free parking all weekend in the public lot in front of the hotel.
Hotel staff very helpful and friendly and I would stay there again. We chose this place as we have a small dog and very few places accept dogs.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on a higher floor as there is a lot of noise coming from various beach restaurants...

Just returned from a trip. Stayed at this hotel.
A very good European three-star hotel. The staff is friendly and always ready to help. The aquarium at the reception is quite large and roomy. I did not see any abuse of animals. The beds and towels are always clean. The only toiletries are soap. Everything else you can buy at the grocery store around the corner - cheap and affordable. Rooms and shower room are spacious. There is a small “kitchen” with a refrigerator, stove and microwave. All utensils for cooking: pots, pans, knives, forks, spoons, kettle and even a wine opener and wine glasses. Sink and kitchen towels. Wide balcony with a table and chairs. The air conditioning works perfectly. There are shading blinds on the windows. But the most important advantage is the location of the hotel. It is located in the very center of the boulevard and a stone's throw from the beach. I recommend visiting the restaurant "VistaMar" - delicious food and reasonable prices. So same kind and hospitable staff.

Long time to wait at the reception; there was nobody. When someone arrive there was no service. Everyone could ask every key (safety was poor).

The staff is very friendly. The hotel is old but is near the beach ( in front of) and all the rooms have sea view. You can cook there since it has a small kitchenette.
It is near the city center and the pubs. More ir less 200meters.

Aparthotel just in front of the beach with a spectacular view.
Cleening and parking (you need to pay for the private parking) services ok.
Apartments a bit old (but they are reniewing some) and a bit small (if you are a couple with kids I suggest a T1 or T2).
However you are just 2 minutes away from the center, restaurants and shops.
The overall rating is ok, so we will come back this year.

We stayed during the Summer, a very buy period for the Algarve, let alone Monte Gordo. We paid for a 1-bedroom flat (4 people) as we wanted the extra space. Very close to the beach, it was noisy at times (inside and outside the hotel). Has a mini kitchen with an electric hob, and a microwave, sink, cutlery... Basically it has all you need to cook in. We ended up living on take-aways though, as it was both affordable and practical, considering the surrounding restaurants' food (good price/quality). Copacabana pizzas were amazing! (Very close to the hotel, look up for them). The view from our 12th floor was unbelievable and breathtaking! Waking up to that was worth all the money! Cleaning ladies came every day to make beds and change rubbish - they were very nice. Reception staff was always helpful. Lifts were a little busy (mostly during morning rush hour), but nothing major. Really enjoyed our stay!

Bad: a night in parking has the value of an extra bed....
Spectacular view, great location, great balcony.
Studio, 2 sofa beds, a small kitchen, every thing ok, but they haven't air dryer and in the kitchen no toaster.
