This Hotel doesn't deserve a 4 star, it's was very basic, staff didn't communicate well and the service was very poor. There was a flood due to mini storm so weather wasnt the best. The food was more or even the same with no variety of different daily dishes. The indoors swimming area was very open in the middle of the hotel didnt feel comfortable especially with old men looking over. Wouldn't recommend for family and definitely wouldn't go back again !!! I've been to better 3 star hotel than this 4 star hotel !!! Also, its very expensive in Portugal 🇵🇹.

Went for 4 days with my daughter, first impressions wasn’t great, looked very basic, the reception area looked basic, and not as knew compared to the photos. The hallway to the rooms were very basic like we were in a 2 star hotel. The room itself had everything you needed but again the decor very basic, the floor and painting of the walls looked cheap. The hairdryer on the wall in the bathroom wasn’t strong enough to dry ur hair. Definitely shouldn’t be a 4 star hotel as I have stayed in a lot better 3 star hotels, Ive never stayed in a 3 star hotel worse than this. Not many staff could speak English, struggled to order at the bar as no one could speak English. The food was awful, not much choice and not very nice. Do not include breakfast or dinner in the booking as cheaper and nicer to eat out. Breakfast was streaked smoky bacon, fried egg, scrambled egg, boiled egg, cereal, fruit, yogurt or meat. It definitely needed a different choice than just serving different kind of eggs, definitely needed to serve beans or plum tomatoes. We just had chips for tea but they did also have chicken casserole. The games room is in the same room as the indoor pool and also in the centre of everything so it felt everyone was looking at you, me and my daughter didn’t feel comfortable using the swimming pool with men drinking playing pool, and other people sitting in the same room drinking alcohol, it was too open. The swimming pool was not heated, when I asked reception if it was going to be heated as it says online she replied it’s never heated. We did try to get in but it was that cold we had to get out. They had two pool tables but only one working. No entertainment, no outdoor pool, nothing for the kids to do. Nothing to do in the local area, Other family’s we met said the same thing. There was places to eat and could walk 5 mins to the beach which was massive and lovely but the beach was the only attraction. I asked if there was anything to do but they said no just the beach, they said they don’t have tour busses or anything in monte gordo all there is to do is eat sleep go on the beach. Not many people speak English in the local area. Overall I wouldn’t recommend the hotel or monte gordo.

Have just returned home after a week at this hotel. I noticed it had mixed reviews. My personal opinion of this hotel is it was perfect for my needs. The hotel is very clean and spacious. My room and bathroom were spotless. Free air con, free safe. A very decent size fridge that kept contents very cool. Free wifi all over the hotel and no problems with it. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful. As we’re the bar staff. A “hi” to Martin who was super sweet. A huge dining area that was very clean. Lots of choice for breakfast. Cereals, yogurts, fruit, breads, cakes, cheese, meats, preserves and honey etc. There was also cooked bacon, sausages, fried and scrambled eggs, beans, mushrooms etc. Toaster at hand for toast. The bread rolls are baked fresh in the kitchen each morning and are delicious. My one and only negative is the choice of teabags. Needed three to produce one cup of weak tasteless tea. There’s a large sunbathing area with good quality sun loungers. The pool was stunning too. I would most definitely return to this lovely and well run hotel.

*The checkin is at 16pm instead at 12pm. Wi-Fi didn’t work in my room at all, I went to the receptionist to report it then the lady said that the guy has been there on that week and everything was working smoothly, but then I said, it’s not working in my room at all, she simply said, that’s nothing I can do, rude lady . ( I stayed one week without Wi-Fi. *Gym- there’s not such information that you need to pay 5 pounds to use the gym in certain time , you can use only from 2pm to 5pm before that you need to pay, being aware that the gym only open at 12:00pm instead morning. *Breakfast- the poor ever hotel breakfast I have been. There’s simply 2 types of bread ham and cheese , one type of cake, one type of yorgut, as less as they could provide, literally really poor breakfast, much better to have a good breakfast outside and pay cheaper. I highly not recommend this hotel, it was a deal on lastminute.com, please do check all the details on the hotel website before purchasing.

We spent one week here because we found a very good deal, £45 night/room, but this is not a 4 star hotel at all, I recon it is a poor 3 stars max, be prepared to pay 15€ per person for breakfast, plus 12€ per day do car park, you can avoid this breakfast over charging as you are near plenty of coffee shops in the area. Again, if you get a good deal is the type of hotel that you get what you pay for, but never pay £120 as I already spot in different websites, do a good search and you will find a better hotel for sure, good luck!

Let’s start with the good first; great location in the town and very friendly staff that are willing to help and recommend places to eat. Breakfast has a wide selection on offer which can accommodate to everyone’s taste buds. But, the beds are the most uncomfortable beds ever! Two single beds for adults all week is just ridiculous! The sheets are rough very basic ones at that. No kettles in the bedroom so have to pay 2.00 euros for a cup of tea in the evenings. No iron in the bedroom, not a stocked fridge but, a small fridge with nothing inside it. No flannels, nor complementary soap but, then in the shower they can’t even provide you with a shelf to place these in anyway. Overall, if you are looking for a very standard hotel to sleep for 2 nights maximum then go for it. But not a 4star holiday hotel.

This is NOT a 4 star hotel, it's a 4 star scam. During 1 week stay, the rooms weren't cleaned for 3 consequtive days, no valid explain had been provided by the hotel staff. Spent two days begging for clean towels, the hotel management lied that the towels were going to be delivered to the room, they never were. 1h waiting lines for meals, once you get to the food court, the tables are full of dirty dishes, the remaining few clean tables have no cups, glasses, napkins, cutlery... It's the guests who set their own tables as the hotel staff does the bare minimum. No desinfectant in the majority of dispensers. Wifi only works close to the reception or the central areas. The receptionists lie, the hotel staff is slow, demotivated and understaffed. How it's possible that a hotel is not cleaned during covid and still stays open, is for lack of a better word baffling. If you respect yourself and your hard earned money, don't waste it on this hotel. If you're looking to waste money, rather throw it out of the window, a less fortunate person just may pick it up on the street.
