Fine hotel, convenient to monastery. $90/night seemed a good deal for this elegant home converted to hotel. Common rooms - library and dining room - were a delight to be in. Front garden was pleasant to relax in or walking through. Room was large and comfortable, top quality linens and amenities in bathroom. Excellent breakfast. Alcobaca monastery a couple of...

Gorgeous old villa-large rooms, top notch linens and amenities , elegant common rooms including library and dining room. Excellent cold breakfast- Two blocks from Alcobaca monastery and excellent local restaurants. Easy drive to Tomar, Batalha and Fatima. Very nice staff-parking on site-lovely front garden. Can’t say enough about how lovely our stay was there.

This is a lovely old house, very well situated for a visit to the monastery, and far enough away from the main square to ensure there won't be too much noise at night. The rooms are well appointed, apart from a dearth of power sockets. The beds are comfortable, even if the quilts are rather heavy. Breakfast is adequate, but...

My wife had stayed here in 1990's on business, and we came with another couple on holiday on her recommendation, and we we more than pleased. It tucked away on a beautiful piece of land, with very pleasant rooms and a staff that went out of their way to help. We were not having good luck finding a restaurant on...

We stayed 2 lovely nights in the new wing. Good hospitality with clean nice small room with balcony that offer a debatable scenery (trees vs back door buildings). The location was quite good - in waking distance from the city center yet in quite neighborhood and offer free parking. Breakfast & spa treat was very good and we do recommend...

The Challet was built in the XIX century and was totally recovered recently. The owners had the habillity to mantain all the charme of a classic challet, while adding the modern commodities. The gardens are beautiful and well kept. The personnel's sympathy is unsurpassable and make you feel at home. They were also very helpful, suggesting where to go or...

Lovely grand old house plus a modern section with larger suites and on-site parking. We stayed in the modern section which was decorated in the style of the older house, was scrupulously clean, and the junior suite was absolutely enormous with a truly huge bathroom with spa bath. The older part of the house is just beautiful and that's where...

I was staying in Alcobaca on business and a friend recommended this place. It is so good to know that the personal touch and attention to detail still exist in the hotel business. The main building is beautiful and the rooms well appointed. Breakfast is very good. What makes this place even more special is the staff - so friendly...
