The rivers in the county of Porsanger are rich in Salmon and Sea trout. All rivers are extremely beautiful and still inexpensive compared to other rivers in Norway. Salmon anglers across the world have heard about Northern Norway's marvellous salmon rivers. Stabburselva is known for its beautiful surroundings and excellent salmon fly-fishing. Lakselva is known for big sized Salmon, and Borselva is well known for its crystal clear water and beautiful surroundings. If you want good value for money and several really good rivers where you can find places in solitude, Stabbursdalen Resort is the place for you. Stabbursdalen Resort is close to Stabbursdalen National Park and Stabbursnes Nature Reserve. The area is the northernmost border for many species of plants, birds and insects. The park has excellent trails for hikers that want to experience striking arctic wildlife in the northernmost pine forest in the world. Stabbursdalen Resort has 30 cabins of all classifications. All cabins have kitchen with hot and cold water. Most cabins have showers and toilet. You can get a small, basic cabin for two people, a medium sized cabin of good standard, or a large luxury log house. We also have pitches for caravan and tents.

Worth a stop! The nature around is beautiful!! Only thing, in winter they don't rent skis nor snowshoes. They might (them or the Stabbursnes Nature House 200m up the street) within short time but check before going. And in the campsite itself, every standard is possible, from really good luxury to very simple cabins. I would definitely return if I was in the area again.

Older cottages has quite small very basic kitchen, bunk beds, table, toilet/shower. A bit expensive I think, but good location, specially if you are a fisherman. River Stabburs is very popular fishing place and known of it's Salmons. Small update or renovation for interiors would not hurt. Plus points for the bar/restaurant.

Excellent location. Just camp here, and do day trips to the nature reserve park nearby which has everything you would ask from a day hike. And one of the key things why Stabbursdalen camping rocks? It has a sauna, and it's very affordable!

Spent here one week in April 2012. The cottage was our home for and every morning, we travelled by car to various places in the area around. We rented a big wooden cottage with 3 sleeping rooms upstairs and a shower, toilets, a kitchen and a dining room connected with a living room downstairs. I guess we also had a terrace and a balcony. It smelled like wood and made a very good atmosphere. There was also a fireplace. We found some cookware and bakeware in the kitchen. There was also a television with a DVD-player. It was possible to park a car outside the cottage. The campsite itself consists of many both smaller and bigger cottages. There are some small towns nearby where you can buy some food. There is also a restaurant in the campsite itself. I do not really know what it is like in summer but as for winter, there are only pros, no cons.
