We took the train through the mountains to get to this cottage and it turned out to be the most magical place I have ever been! It was clean and well equipped with the most majestic views of water and mountains, from inside and out! Our days were spent walking around the little village of Flam, hiking the hill trails... I have no idea where to begin !! My wife and I wanted to spend a few days in a log cabin somewhere in Scandinavia and by pure luck happened upon the web site for Fretheim Fjordhyatter. The Cabin Bedrooms - With three large rooms (2 doubles and 1 twin) there is plenty of comfort for all staying fully equipped... More

Staying in this fabulous cabin took our Flam experience to a whole new level! It is spotlessly clean. The kitchen is small but very sufficient to prepare meals. Beds and pillows are comfortable. There is a small automatic washer and a rack to hang clothes for drying. There is a small boat for your use. The walk from the boat/train... More

This cottage has to be the best place to stay in Flam. We loved it, we stayed 3 nights and wished we had stayed longer. We loved going back each night to just sit and look out the windows at the views. Sue and Anders were the nicest hosts and Anders was very helpful in telling us things we should... More

It's just beautiful I can't get enough of the view out of the window it's probably the best way to spend your vacation in Norway. It's so much to do around here. Everything can be covered: hiking, sightseeing, relaxing, shopping. The hosts are really helpful and nice. I can't imagine a better way to spend a week in Flåm. If... More

We stayed for a week during summer. The location is just fantastic just by the water, really beutiful, enough 'off' from the endless crowds in downtown Flåm. The little motor boat is a really nice bonus and also that one tank of petrol is included. The hut is very nice and very well equipped - it has everything you need... More

Fantastic long weekend. What a view to wake up to, can't wait to come back. Individual boats with each hut are such a great idea - fantastic day spent exploring the waters. Despite being a row of four each but felt very secluded and perfect for a private getaway. Well appointed and stocked kitchen, everything you will need. Sue and... More

We stayed here for two nights, but could easily have stayed for another two or three nights. The views are amazing and it's a great location to relax. Chopping wood and taking the boat out were additional benefits! The cabin was spotlessly clean and well presented. We went to the local supermarket and ate in for a few of our... More

We stayed at this cabin for 2 nights and really loved it. The view was amazing, the kitchen was really useful and the wood stove was really enjoyable. The owners were very hospitable and helpful and it's located very near everything in Flåm. The cabins appear to be recently updated, and are very clean. We would all definitely stay here... More

We (family of 5 with 3 teens) stayed in one of the cabins in early August for a week and had a wonderful time. The cabin is really well equipped, very clean and comfortable. Having the boat was a real bonus and lot of fun. The view from the cabin is fantastic and constantly changing, and we even enjoyed watching... More
