What a scenery! Parts of the hotel isnt very modern, but they have done some work on parts of the hotel to make it more modern. The staff is very friendly, and the food is world class. We were a group of 40 guests and we were treated first class. They don't have a lot of facilities, but it's not...

The Fretheim hotel in Flam is truly beautiful and the focal point of the village. To just sit by the fire and gaze out at the extraordinary scenery was magical. Rooms were very nice and staff went above and beyond to make you feel welcome. A very short walk from the Flam railway.

I loved this hotel. It's nestled in the beautiful Norwegian fjords. It's idyllic and perfect. It is the quaint little tourist town of Flam. Although it was cold at night, it was worth the short walk to the centrally located pub that resembles a stave church (it is a brewery as well)... There are gift shops and large boats within...

A quite large tourist hotel with a surprisingly cozy and intimate lobby/restaurant area, despite it covering four stories. The interior has a rather kitschy approach to Norwegian folklore, still I liked it. My room was large and with a bathtub and good bed. Friendly staff. The weakest point is the food, which was variable. Good breakfast though.

30+ people stayed for the weekend, and the hotel was very helpful providing facilities for the band's training. Very good indeed! The rooms are nice and clean, good view the the centre of the village. The bathrooms are also very clean and modern. The hotel is a mix of old and new, and has some rooms with old-style decor and...

The Fretheim Hotel is easily the favorite of our Norway and Sweden trip. The tiny village of Flam is a beautiful place right out of the fairy tales. The thought of attempting to describe the place is daunting. The desk staff made us feel like family and 'adopted' our young teen grandson who spoke Swedish with and hung out with...

Location was great in Flam, except parking is behind the hotel and there is no drive way to pull up front to drop off the luggage. You have to drag the bags down the block, which be a hassle when it's raining and road is wet and muddy. Staff at check-in was professional, friendly, knowledgeable and answered all the questions...

An excellent hotel with friendly staff and a great breakfast. Had a balcony room overlooking the fjord and would recommend this is the best category for anyone considering staying here. All attractions of Flam are in easy walking distance (a stroll really). The train ride down to Flam was spectacular and the fjord cruise was out of this world...booked the...

Lovely hotel in Flam. The room is clean and we got the view of the mountain from our window. The staff are nice and accommodating. The breakfast is not as great compared to the other hotels we checked in. The only fruit that they have is a fruit salad which did not taste fresh at all. It tasted as if...
