The hotel is older and needs modernisation. We stayed 2 days in a presidential suite which was away from the main hotel where there was reception and breakfast. It was rainy, which did not make the experience any better when you had to go up to the 1st floor by an external iron staircase. The room was large, old-fashioned and the bathroom smelled of sewage. It was nicely clean and the bed was a nice large double bed which was newer so that was a plus. The breakfast was standard boring, but the bread and the fresh fruit were lovely.

The Palads Hotel is located in cenral Viborg just at the end of the pedestrian street. Rooms are quite big and comfortable and beds are fine. There is a very small minibar with reasonable prices. Not very much service and the bar/restaurant was closed at evenings. Breakfast is plentiful with lots of choices. Only point to mention is the total lack of organic products.

Unpretentious but quite cozy hotel in central Viborg, we only stayed here one night when we were passing through. Unfortunately, the hotel is quite worn, but you notice that it was a nice hotel a few years ago. The breakfast average

Lovely little hotel , perfect location in the city centre. Excellent breakfast. We arrived yesterday afternoon and our room was ready and had plenty of room to park our car which usually is very difficult in a city centre hotel. The lady at the reception was very good and helpful

Spa rooms and apartment by palads hotel is worth a visit.
Don't be fooled by the slightly tacky-looking building/entrance.
When you enter the suite, there is a wonderful small kitchen, entrance hall, living room, bedroom and large bathroom with marble tiles, sauna, jacuzzi and shower.
The breakfast is served at the palace hotel and here was everything the heart desires.
Here there was also a reception where we were greeted by a sweet and friendly receptionist who had arranged for flowers and wine in our room. She was also helpful with parking. It is a bit difficult to navigate around Viborg as there is currently a lot of road work around the city centre.
The place is right next to a pedestrian street with a number of specialty shops and good eateries.
Would love to come again

Weather. on the 3rd floor. without elevator, smelled of wet Dog, had difficulty breathing by dust. Holes and stains on the carpet everything was very worn, with furniture from a recycling store. Doors laminate for toilet hanged loose on both sides, no toilet paper as you only notice when you have been to the toilet :-( . Breakfast buffet was under average. The price is unrealistically high for this hotel.

It was our first visit to the Palace Hotel. The hotel appears as of older date, it is clear to everyone that there have been no renovations in the available customer areas in the last 20 years. You get almost a feeling of having entered one of these rent-a-room per-hour hotels you see in movies.
The reason the hotel gets 5 stars anyway is the staff. Nice and friendly service at the morning buffet but the prize goes anyway to the portier who checked us in. I've visited maybe 100 Danish inns and hotels, but this young man's welcoming and sense of service I've never seen, thumbs up for it. We look forward to the next time at the Palace Hotel.

Great location in the city center. We got a room on the ground level with a small kitchen and a sauna in the bathroom. All nice as the bed was comfortable as well. But it was a clear presence of mold, it was easy to smell and the room itself was very hot and difficult to air. How this room is during the summer I can only imagine. Also a lot of noise from the parking lot and by people walking on the roof.

Thank you for your comments. We have only 3 rooms where it is possible to walk onthe roof. However that is meant as a fireescape so normally it should be quiert. These 3 rooms will be extra cleaned as soon as possible. so they should be nice in the summer

Nice location and outstanding breakfast. But but but. The part of the hotel on the opposite side, where we got a small apartment, badly needs an overhaul. Most reminiscent of a hotel room from “0 stars”. Entering an apartment that smells old and stuffy, but this disappeared after a good round of drafts. The walls and doors are generally dirt dirty and need a wash and paint. The carpet needs a major cleaning. Drawers and cabinets most of all look like something that is about to fall apart and has been there since the 70s. In the toilet, the shower is so chalky that only 3 jets came out, the drain sounds as if it is about to stop. In the kitchen was a refrigerator which made so much noise that even two closed doors could not take the hum from it.
Unfortunately, you have to look for a long time for aesthetics and style.
It's a shame that they don't renovate the rooms and make them nice, as the rooms themselves and the location are fantastic!

Cozy hotel in the middle of Viborg - very friendly and helpful staff. Good breakfast - and not least really good beds . We would love to come back. The restaurant is like getting into a time pocket, and with good art by Sergei Sviatchenko on the walls
