It is a nice 3* hotel nearby the beach. Although bit old fashioned. Room little space to walk to bathroom. Advice take one table with chairs out. It is too much. Everything needs a little make-over. Staff very friendly. Breakfast good.

Stayed for 5 nights with friends, hotel staff was very friendly and breakfast very good choice. Rooms are a little small but very clean. Great Base for travelling around Belgium with easy access to trams and trains. Will return.

This is the second time we have stayed at The Richmond hotel in Blankenberg. It is centrally located ideal for the shops, bars, restaurants, the Market and the beach. There is off site parking either at the school at the bottom of the street or in a nearby car park at 6Euros a day. The Hotel is clean and although is at the junction of two roads relatively quiet. There are two Tram stops nearby. Due to the ever changing one way systems it can be difficult to find your way to it. The rooms are light and airy with all facilities. There is free Wi-Fi throughout the Hotel. The breakfast is adequate with a small selection of hot food and an extensive cold selection. Fruit juice, fresh fruit tea and coffee plus a good selection of bread and rolls.

Stayed here for one night on trip to Belgium. Very central hotel, in the lovely town of Blankenberge, with long sandy beach, plenty of shops and restaurants. Also very close to Ostend and Brugge. The hotel has no car park, so you park either on the streets or there is a private car park, just up the road with plenty of space. We had a new style room, which was quite large, overlooking the street but was quiet, with a very nice bathroom. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Would stay again

This hotel is right downtown and very close to the beach - an easy walk. The owners are very friendly and hospitable. Our room was small and it was a little tight for me to walk around the foot of the bed as there was a small table I had to pass by with 12” of space. The limited space resulted in the TV (probably 20”) being placed high on the wall above, almost touching the ceiling. The room was clean and had closet storage and ample shelves to hold our stuff. There were two nice floor to ceiling window that led to a small balcony. The street outside the hotel is very busy but the sounds weren’t detectible with the windows closed. The internet wasn’t solidly reliable and seemed to go in and out. You don’t want to try and stream any video here or use the internet for getting any work done. Breakfast was very good - scrambled and hard boiled eggs, different deli meats and cheese, assorted rolls/bread and spreads, yogurt and three kinds of juice (the orange was very good). They had a coffee machine with regular, cappuccino and hot chocolate. They even had bottled water available. They did a very nice job indeed! Ice cubes are available from the bar - just ask the nice folks at the front desk! We enjoyed our stay here and hope to return.

Very close to the centre, not too far from the beach (300m), street parking nearby. (Daily parking fee of 15 euros per day.) The hotel is family run, the staff is very friendly and very helpful. We stayed here for 2 nights, working on an event at the harbor. Returning late in the evening, the hotel bar is open late, so relaxing drinks with the colleagues were possible. The standard room we stayed in, had a hair dryer, an in room safe, a medium sized flatscreen tv and a small desk for the laptop. If you want a fridge and A/C, take a Neo room which are slightly more expensive. Wifi in the rooms was included in the (modest) room rate. Our double bed was comfortable enough. But as in many hotels in medium class, acoustic insulation left a bit to be desired. Breakfast was continental, but ample enough.

Great staff! Ms Lauren's and Mr Pascal were warm, helpful and made our 3 week stay relaxing. Breakfast is usually at 7 but because of our work schedule they opened 30 minutes early each day. That's the extra effort they took to help. The bar was relaxing and warm and the rooms were clean with very comfortable beds. Just a few blocks from the sea or the train station. Only sad point was that for a business person the Internet was very unreliable. For a vacation spot it was very nice!

Blankenberg is great place to stay if you do not want to pay Bruge prices. Blankenberg is a very quant town providing easy access to both Ostend and Bruge by tram. It has quite a long beach front where it is great to sit out, enjoy a pint.

offloaded from a cruise, my daughter in hospital. The port agent booked this hotel as it was near the hospital for me to visit. It is also very close to the rail station ( 15 mins to Bruges), main tram lines and market square which has a number of restaurants. There is also a late night shop right opposite the hotel. Very useful for water and many other basics especially if you are using the hotel as a cheaper alternative to hotels in Bruges. The rooms are modern, clean and the beds are very comfortable. I have a Tempur bed at home so that is saying something! In my circumstances though the most important thing to me was the free fax and internet service (for the travel insurance company) and the kindness and helpfulness of the 2 ladies and 1 gentleman who run reception and who faxed and scanned and printed loads of paperwork - all in English. I cannot praise and thank them enough. They even ordered a take away for me ! The breakfast buffet was fresh and good quality with a lovely selection of breads and even a toaster ! Tea, coffee and milk were available free 24hrs. If you want a friendly, caring reception who treat you as a wanted guest not a nuisance to put up with. I could not recommend this hotel more highly. PS. No travel adapter but they charged up our phones and electric cigarette by USB port on their office computer. They go the extra mile.
