Having had such a great stay last summer we decided to return and experience the Lodge in the fall. What a treat ... the trees were turning colors and hit peak this past week....being from Florida this was a huge treat. We had a fire almost every night and explored areas down logging roads for those remote waterfalls that are not "right off the road." This year we stayed in a 2-bedroom cabin and everything I wrote in my review (July 2016) about the accommodations remains true. We did try Jimmy’s Market in Bingham (at Liz’s suggestion) and successfully stocked up for the week. The nights were crisp and we enjoyed an outside fire almost every night. This a remote area and exceptionally quiet. However if you need anything you just need to call Liz - she gets hold of Joe or Jonah immediately and they are right there to take care of your needs. I know this because I needed a lighter for the grill and Joe not only brought it over within about 5 minutes but proceeded to light the grill as well and when he saw how much wood we used he had Jonah bring over more in a very short amount of time (sorry Jonah - we did enjoy our evening fires!) Joe will stay and give you as much info as you like - he even went over our map to show us some more remote waterfalls to discover! Bottomline, if you want to experience a relaxing and quiet time this is the place ~ If want to experience more excitement - call Joe or Jonah - this is still the place! We will be back again!

The lake and cabins were awesome. I found this Lodge online and was pleasantly surprised that all of pictures and written accolades were true or even understated. The cabins are modern but still have a country feel. The friends I were with were elderly and the area and lake reminded them of their youths growing up in rural Vermont and Canada. They had a ball. I was happy they were happy sitting on the porch being entertain by the hummingbirds, loons and baby ducks.

I've been snowmobiling all over MA, VT, NH and Maine. The Lake Parlin Lodge is hands down the best place to stay for snowmobilers. SUPER clean lodge, modern amenities, great value, fantastic restaurant, great bar, heated floors in the bathrooms, awesome quality beds, great parking and placement area for your trailer, TONS of hooks and shelves for sledding gear throughout the restaurant and bar, they groom like mad!, lots of sled parking area, friendly staff, well throughout menu choices, clean and quality linens in the rooms, 509 and Slednecks videos playing throughout the bar, vintage sleds as decor to admire..l could go on and on. This place is a snowmobilers fantasyland. I've stayed at luxury hotels all over North America and the Caribbean, and this place is one of my new favorites! I HIGHLY recommend this establishment. When it comes to snowmobiling, don't waste your time and money in Pittsburg NH or other so-so destinations. The Lake Parlin Lodge is where it's at!

We came to go snowmobile riding. We stayed here in a cabin, bur cold bathroom it never gets warm even with heated floors. I hate the cold!! They need to remove the king bed and replace with a queen so you can actually move around the room and get out on the side next to the wall without walking into stuff. The living area there is a coffee table behind the couch which forces the couch to be pushed forward and the coffee table is either on top of you or into the fire place. This is not designed very well. They need to remove the coffee table and push the couch back. I killed large black ants in the kitchen and in the bathroom which is weird because this is Feb, cold, cold.

The plus side the bed is very comfortable and the shower was the best part, with great pressure. Because the bathroom is so cold turn it on for a bit to warm up the room. If you are bothered by noise you can hear the trucks going down the road. It does have a full kitchen with a full refrigerator and freezer, stove and sink so you can bring your own food. During this time there is not a lot of restaurants open. Sadly a sorry excuse I think the lodge and restaurant on the property was closed because of COVID however, other restaurants have worked with this and stayed open. this was a bummer because I do like to sit at a bar and talk with people we could have kept our distance.

The porch was shoveled for the most part however, with the snow the next day I shoveled the steps. I don't know if someone would have done this or not if I had not to be hones.

Cabins were modern and well done. Unfortunately we had a mouse run across the counter and then my wife's clothing bag. Wife didn't sleep well. Mouse traps added next day and I removed a dead one the morning we were leaving. Owners need to have professionals (Orkin, etc) seal cabin like a house. Vents and pipe entries. Mouse ran into fireplace vent first night.

I had a chance to stay at Lake Parlin Lodge and Cabins on a recent trip.We arrived and had a very friendly greeting. We were booked to stay in the lodge for one evening. The lodge and cabins set right on the water and the views are spectacular. Our room was very nice. There was also a loft in the room that would be great if you were traveling with children. The room had everything that we were looking for in a quick stay. We were in the area for a wedding and arrived at 2pm and the wedding was at 4pm about 20 minutes away. We made it a point after freshening up to walk onto the dock and just enjoy the scenery and take a few minutes to relax before we left. We returned to the lodge later that evening and had a very comfortable nights sleep. We woke the next morning and were sad because we would not be able to take time to enjoy the beauty before packing up and heading out on our four hour trip home. My fiancee and I talked about wanting to return to the area and just relax.. I am sure we will be back in the future. On a side note. I was very happy to have cell service in the area. As we were driving in the Forks area there were several dead spots, but both Verizon and US Cellular have great signal from the Lake Parlin Lodge Area. So while we would love to disconnect completely it is good to know that people can still get through to you in case of an emergency.

Don't get me wrong... the place is beautiful and clean. We checked in and did not see anyone Called and were told our cabin would be open. It was and it was beautiful. Well that was the end of seeing a living soul for 2 days. The restaurant was locked up tight. Finally found Johan who was a nice guy and gave us some tips about hiking and seeing moose. Never saw him or anyone else again. Planned on using the oven but not a pan or tray. Come on.... buy a 9x13 or cookie sheet at the $$$ store. Thank goodness I bought foil. Made my own trays for the grill and oven. The grill only worked sporadically and my husband burnt all the hair off his hand trying to manually light it. Only 1/2 lit. The place is a gem but who owns it?????? They charged my credit card and that was the end of it.

My boyfriend and I found a great deal on groupon for this place. It did not disappoint! We loved every second of our stay. The cabin was gorgeous and beds were comfortable. We enjoyed exploring the surrounding area during the day and back to the grounds for the amazing fire pit. Our favorite part of the stay was sipping our morning coffee while on the porch each morning. We will def be back more than once!

Beautiful views, comfortable and clean cabins, laid back feel. Do things or don't. Be adventurous, curious or just hang. Most relaxing vacation we've had ever and in a short stay on top of that. There's canoeing, kayaking, swimming on site as well as fire pits. BBQ grill at each cabin. We'll be back.

We chose Lake Parlin Lodge because of location and price (Grouping deal) and could not be happier! We originally booked for 2 nights, then added 2 more, then a final one. We wish we didn't have to leave!

We are usually backwoods campers and kayakers, accustomed to rustic accommodations, but anyone would find comfort here. From the lakeside wide porches, the top of the line bedding (sheets are the softest we've ever slept on), and the well appointed kitchenette, everything is top notch.

For those seeking adventure, there are tons of trails for hiking, ATVs, and winter snowmobiling. The lake is perfect for a half day paddle or fishing, and tons of lakes are nearby, including Moosehead (45 mins). Moose viewing is a big plus.

The manager, Jonah, is knowledgeable about just about everything Maine or activity related so treat yourself to a wild vacation from the comfort of a luxury lodge.

Hi there! Thank you for your interest in our property! Most people that visit us during the winter come for snowmobiling. There are a few small towns your wife could visit while you are out, and Quebec City is only about 2.5 hours from us if she is looking for a day trip (make sure she has her passport!). We do not rent snowmobiles, but we do work with a few companies that do, Maine Outdoor Adventures, and 201 Powersports. Please contact me with any other questions!

Our Lodge Rooms do not have any kitchen facilities other than a coffee maker. We can try to put a small fridge in for you depending on when you are traveling. Please let us know.

Do the lodge rooms have AC?
Answer from Liz K
Parlin Pond, ME
We do have window unit AC's in the Lodge Rooms, but not in our Cabins. Being in the NW Mountains of Maine, they are rarely needed!
