My husband and I drove to Lago Yojoa for the weekend and brought our dog. We were able to hike as soon as we arrived and checked in. The location is great because it is right in front of the entrance to the trail. The Sendero Sinai is a nice long hike (about 4hrs) with lots of uphill/stairs to really...

Very very friendly staff and the long hike ( Sendero Sinai) is a great way to spend the day. We stayed 3 nights (Vencejos cabins are great with a nice view ! ) as we were interested in the hike and birds which we were able to see and hear a lot ! Although we are far from bird-experts, manage...

I enjoyed my stay at Panacam. It's very remote and the roads are difficult to navigate, but the property is stunning. Beautiful mountain views from the main lobby and great hikes right off the property. Just a 10 minute hike to a stunning waterfall! Lodging is simple and it is similar to a "backpacker's lodge." Everything you need and nothing...

I stayed for 2 nights on an organised tour travelling alone but with my own guide and driver. Great birds seen here as others have mentioned and I did the long(ish) hike to the waterfall - trails were well-maintained without them looking manicured. Room was in the furthest block and very good with lovely deck at the back overlooking forest...

This second visit was as enjoyable as the first (see earlier review for fuller description of facilities). The accommodations continue to be very well-maintained. Wi-fi is at the dining lodge. If you need laundry done, this is the best place for service and price we have found. The food continues to be very good fare. The birding and overall ambiance...

I visited Panacam Lodge in march 2016 for an afternoon because I was told It had a beautiful trail with a small waterfall at the end where you can go for a swim. It has nice rooms and accommodations, and it even has a camping area where you can setup your own tent for a cheap price per person of...

My wife and I spend a couple of days staying here and hiking all of the available trails in PN Cerro Azul Meámbar. We chose to stay in one of the cabin rooms more remote in order to have a tranquil place, but I suspect those closer to the lodge would provide a similar ambience. We did have a beautiful...

of 5 bubbles wiminneapolis, Jan 9, 2016 | Read review
“The lodge is a good place for birders or hikers and has a high standard for a poor country like Honduras. Therefore things like wifi on the room would be exaggerated as we dont have it in average small hotels in Germany. A cottage without having an adjacent room would be a good choice of you want to get up early in the mornings and go to sleep soon.”
