We have just stayed here and we can't praise the establishment enough! Richard took care of us from the minute we got there until the minute we left.. Nothing is too much trouble! The Room we stayed in was amazing, clean and homely with everything we needed, it had great views of the countryside ,we would 100% stay here again... More

On arrival to Penbontbren, we were greeted by one of the owners, Richard. He was extremely friendly and helpful. We were showed to our room - suite. It was amazing, more than enough space and as we had our dog with us, we even had a patio which overlooked the beautiful gardens. This was ideal for the dog. Our room... More

Even a rainy weekend in January could not diminish the charm of Penbontbren for us. The rooms are grouped in converted barns round what was a classic Welsh farmyard. Furnishing and equipment are well up to 4 or 5 star hotel standards; the pillows were especially comfortable. Breakfasts at Penbontbren are magnificent, while the grounds and surroundings could not be... More

It is good to return to an exceptional establishment and find that it has achieved the seemingly impossible and managed to improve on near perfection. How was this accomplished? By placing clear large direction signs on the main road. All the other reviews cover the accommodation, food, welcome etc so I won't eulogise any further on those topics. I would... More

We just visited this B&B for the second time it is just first class my opinion would be more six star than five star accommodation. The rooms are fantastic and it is very relaxing to stay there. There are plenty of food options nearby but the wonderful breakfast you have sets you up for the day anyway. The facilities and... More

If you are looking for somewhere peaceful and comfortable, do not look any further, it is fabulous. Our rooms all had their own sitting areas and personal outside space which made it feel very private and relaxing. The rooms were beautifully furnished with lots of little extras making it feel more like a boutique hotel e.g.dressing gowns, chocolates, well stocked... More

Stayed for three days and had we not previously booked in another establishment would have stayed for 3 weeks., however, will not make the same mistake next time. Richard & Huw's attention to detail, their extremely hospitable & welcoming attitude, with nothing too much trouble to make your stay one to remember serves as a superb example to many other... The delightful owners have already been showered with so much praise here - with full justification, so I'll just highlight the two elements that most impressed us on a three night stay in chilly November: - our room really was a mini-suite, incredibly well equipped (everything short of cooking facilities), with an attractive split-level lounge area; both that and the... 'You must experience this place. It\'s amazing. I really thought I had died and gone to heaven. Will be going again SOON! ' The accommodation is luxurious and the little touches such as a well stocked mini bar, chocolate, and welsh cakes were well received. You're every need is taken care of. Cant recommend it highly enough. And it's dog... More

What a fantastic 3 days we had at Penbrontbryn. On arrival we were met by Richard the owner, and given a choice of 2 lovely rooms. We opted for a ground floor as we have a dog. The rooms have been very tastefully decorated, super clean and best quality throughout. No expense spared on these luxury cottages. Breakfast was super,... More
