The staff were very pleasant and helpful. We dined in the restaurant last Tuesday night (23rd). Our waiter was Nathan and he did an excellent job. The meal itself was also excellent. Some parts of the hotel could probably do with freshening up but otherwise all was good. The facilities were good. The scenery from the bedroom over lough Foyle... More

Was really looking forward to staying as it looked beautiful in photos and I'd heard good things about the Redcastle Hotel but it was definitely not a 4 star experience, 3 star at most. Room and hotel in parts very tired needs refurb, no management seem to be noticing the little things, dead flowers in vases, breakfast tables set without... More

A fantastic setting by the water and overlooking the golf course. Great expectations on arrival for our 1 night birthday gift stay..sadly once checked in the disappointment started. Our room was to put it mildly shabby..filthy net curtain..torn carpet..chipped paint and furniture..hand marks on wall not to mention the heat..no aircon and very poor ventiation. Then the spa..no jacuzzi and... More

Just home from a 2 night stay in Redcastle Hotel with my husband. First time there. Location is stunning overlooking the Foyle but my first impression was that the place was looking tired and in need of a revamp. We were in a first floor bedroom overlooking the carpark. Good sized room but furniture looking worn and the windows were... More

Visited Redcastle hotel last week for four nights. From check in to check out we found the staff to be extremely friendly and efficient. The reception and lounge areas are very comfortable and very pleasant for relaxing in. The bedrooms are very clean and even though the furniture is a bit dated we were very comfortable during our stay. The... More

Excellent food right across the menu as we all tried something different. Setting v nice, rooms could do with air conditioning as they were v warm. The was the only downside to the stay was the heat in the hotel is was way way too hot. Even the toilet beside the bar was boiling hot which was unbelievable. Excellent food,... More

We stayed here for 3 nights in one of the family suites. These suites are great! Out 2 children stayed in the living room and we had our own space in the bedroom. The suite was perfectly furnished with a spacious bathroom. Our only issue with the room was the heat. It was stiflingly hot in the rooms - an... More

This hotel is located directly on the water......IF you pick a water view, you will have the most beautiful view. The problem is that it is very expensive, the hotel is very dated (bordering on shabby) and it seems to be the 'wedding capital' of the area. Constantly hosting weddings of incredibly drunk people and they allow the weddings to... More

We stayed here on recommendation, the first room we were given was overlooking the sea but also had a very unsightly view of a flat roof which also had a very noisy air conditioner unit right outside our window, we asked to change rooms and were given a disabled room which was only ok, very musty smell and had no... My Wife & I stayed in the Hotel to celebrate our Wedding Anniversary. The room booking had been made in April 2016 via email with the Reservations Manager. I booked a 2 night stay with Dinner, Bed & Breakfast and a Sea View which cost an additional 30 Euros per night. The total cost was 400 Euros, which I thought... More
