If you are visiting the Douro and want a 5 star experience for a hotel/resort, Six Senses is it. My spouse and I are picky but reasonable. This place delivered. Special mention for the several bar lounges, with tables for playing board games, etc. while drinking the local wines. Fancy travel magazines pay models money to pretend they are doing...

Dear benjaminp164, Very sorry to read that you had a few glitches in the room product, and that you did not find the in room dining menu, which should have been a part of your compendium. My partner and I made a special side trip to Porto at the tail end of our Europe trip to stay at the Six Senses resort in the Duoro Valley and it an incredible experience. It was relaxing and we tasted the grapes grown on-site. It is conveniently located and major vineyards and nice restaurants were within short drives. Room was spacious and amenities were wonderful....
