This hotel is conveniently located not far from the south end of the St Gotthard road tunnel and makes an excellent stopover point as part of a longer journey. It overlooks Airolo railway station and a small marshalling yard with the valley and high mountains beyond. The rooms are comfortable and clean, the staff friendly and efficient and by Swiss...

This little hotel offers a very homy, cozy and comfortable atmosphere. The beds are very comfortable as well, the bathrooms clean. The breakfast buffet is good, the food fresh. The owners are very friendly. Perhaps the best hotel in this mountain area!

Stayed here on our way to Luzerne. We had a nice room with down-filled blankets. There were beautiful views from the windows and an elevator. The restaurant was exceptionally good and we had one of the best meals of our 4-week european trip here. There was free parking across the street and I appreciated the paperwork explain which TV channels...

Stayed here for a night during a biking trip in Swiss and Italy. The staff were helpful; they accommodated us with storing all of our bikes. The breakfast was good, and the Lattes were amazing. overall a nice short stay.

This hotel was a complete surprise. I stayed there the night before walking the Gotthard Pass, I was really only looking for a bed and a decent breakfast. I had a large room in a style I can only qualify as retro. I've seen it a few times in Switzerland and it always cracks me up: the room is as...

Many thanks for your kind words Andreanne75. Unfortunately, the seasonal character or our destiantion makes it difficult to renovate as often as you would expect in a city hotel, however, we take pride in maintaining the hotel is very good conditions. We are very glad that you enjoyed the restaurant and wine list. Kind regards, Marzio

Having come claimed St Gottard pass in sunshine I checked in, last minute, at Forni. Great dinner, friendly staff and good room. Woke the following day tk filthy weather so decided to extend for another night. Spent the day in the bar / lobby chilling and using speedy WiFi for my blog. Perfect for my needs at a reasonable price

Have stayed here over the years and not as good as it used to be. Rooms and bathrooms, whilst clean, need to be updated. Rooms at front overlook railway track and tend to be noisy. Breakfast used to be superb, but now a lot less choice available. No more home made jams but standard supermarket stuff - a sign perhaps...

We picked the Hotel Forni after searching TripAdvisor as we were looking for an overnight stop on the way from the Uk to the Italian Lakes. In particular we wanted a hotel on the Italian side of the St Gotthard Tunnel as we were travelling on a Sunday and thought there might be long delays on a Monday morning at...
