Really wonderful selection of beer, always changes every month. Great Food , always served with a smile, and very affordable. A little off the beaten track, but well worth the visit, you will not be disappointed.

I stayed here for one night on business last month after a work colleague recommended the pub to me.I found the accommodation to be clean and for the money (£80.00) to a very high standard. I was joined in the evening by my work colleagues and we drank a couple of locally brewed real ales from Maldon and Brentwood. We...

I stayed overnight here Saturday evening. The pub is a very traditional cosy country pub with real log fire. The room I stayed in was the yellow room. It was warm and very clean and comfortable. The only reason the BUT is in my heading is that the brass bed is extremely squeaky and could do with some oil! The...

Went there yesterday, 22nd September, the girl behind the bar was not welcoming to the point of being unfriendly, she clearly wanted be anywhere other than at work. Maybe she would be more suited to a job stacking shelves at Walmart, this way she wont have to deal with us poor sods.(the general public) Presumably she will sue the charm...

We go to the Prince every year for wine tasting and a meal. We have never been disappointed and this year was better than ever. Cannot fault Rob and his staff who are friendly and do a super job. If you haven't visited, you must give it a try, you will not be disappointed.

I want to say a huge thank you to Rob Walster and all his staff at the Prince of Wales. We had an awesome time camping at the Prince of Wales' field just further on from the car park. Food was fabulous at the pub as were the staff, and the regulars who drink there. A fantastic break, great weather...

Staff could of been better especially a blonde women. She was so rude. I would not recommend going in there as the staff seem to be drinking wine constantly. The rooms were lovely and clean and the food was brilliant. The blonde older women let it down terribly

I stayed here as it was in close proximity to a friends wedding. The place was well decorated, clean and the staff were very very friendly. Breakfast was included and was more than enough food. I would definitely recommend this place

Dog friendly pub which was happy for us to park whilst we went on our dog walk as long as we came back for lunch which we were happy to do. Six of us in total, 5 of us ordered food and we all had a drink. The one member of our group had brought a sandwich with her which...
