Great pub food and very friendly service. Lovely atmosphere which we'd be happy to go back to. Waitress was just the right amount of attentive, and we all enjoyed our meals. Steak beautifully cooked and apple pie was delicious.

Dropped in for a quick drink with my son, and stayed for several - and could have stayed all afternoon + evening. Why? Great local beers; good atmosphere; warm welcome; great sandwiches and helpful friendly staff - we will be back there soon. And by the way, they offer free fast Wi-Fi

Whilst out cycling round the south lakes we stumbled across The Crown. We had a very nice lunch & the landlord was one of the best I've met in a while & restored my confidence in the great English country pub. We will definitely be stopping to eat again and I would definitely consider it for a stay over.

We had a meal here on the 9th of July and I have to say it was the best pub food we've had in a long time. My wife had the gammon and I had the Cumberland sausage, both very good meals and we will certainly be going back on our next trip to the lakes ☺

Stayed here for two nights. Great welcome. Basic but good food and a really good breakfast. Staff helpful and fun, better value than a lot of places in the lakes. Will use again when I am that way again.

I was given a friendly welcome and shown to my room which was comfortable and had everything I needed. The breakfast was fresh and the teacups a large size. The pub has character but isn't prestine, especially the corridors. I couldn't get the wifi to work. I did think £90 a night was quite expensive.
