Absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Incredible attention to detail from booking t-off times, dinner reservations, welcome amenities in Villa, Kind, attentive staff. Delicious food. Beautifully kept golf course. Top notch from start to finish.
Ice place but service is lacking. Food quality and service for brunch buffet very very poor. Food was cold and when I asked for more food at empty stations it became a big deal and nothing brought out until I asked again. Girl at the inlet station appeared to have no clue how to make a good omelet and I wond up explaining to her how and had to remind her to turn up the heat. Would not recommend to go for food Was not worth the money we paid. Upon leaving couldn’t find anyone to pay…. In hind site should have walked out!
overall great place and service a bit disappointed on the practice par 3 course expected better the rooms lodging are amazing there is even a runway and marina available great place cant wait to go again
I usually comment following a completed trip, but this needs to be brought to attention now, so no other guest endures this big OOPHS! As you know, I hardly ever comment negatively on my trips, but unless I read the "Fly Fishing" experience incorrectly, we were left entirely on own for 2 hours. The 2 men said they would return shortly, then pointed to the tackle box, scissors, rubber gloves, fish food pellets and so forth and said water was in their tiny shack for your usage. They never returned. So when our hotel shuttle appeared at 11:59 AM and they we’re not back yet- we took the shuttle back to the hotel. Even our driver was surprised we were left to fend for ourselves. We waited for a follow up response from them all day, but received nothing. Our biggest question of concern was for our general safety...not to mention our comfort level, guest customer service or even to prevent a potential accident, at a 90 foot deep man-made pond, in a desolate area, with few cars passing on the road. My husband has some walking challenges that requires him to use a cane as well. That alone should have made these guys use better judgement. They were totally oblivious and raced to their vehicles and literally sped off. It took us a minute or two to process just what happened. Look we are experienced travelers, but never dealt with being "dropped off". Period. We imagined this was fly fishing under supervision. Nothing unusual there. Sidebar........ we never caught one trout from this filled pond as they were fed just before we started fishing ???? Seriously we can’t make this up. Next- asked for a razor (husband forgot his). It was quickly brought by Guest Services. He told us one should be in the room complementary. We had none. When we checked our guest folio today, we were charged $6.00 for the Molton Brown Shaving Kit. Trust me- it was just like a Daisy Shaver with the tiniest tube of shave creme. Are you kidding me- a Four Diamond Hotel charging a fee for this? Unheard of even in a Mega 5,6,7 ++ Star property in Dubai! Next- asked for Taxi/Car Service to the closet town some 20 minutes away. Charges $75.00 each way, as well as being told they were completely booked for the week. The only saving grace today, was our exceptional dinner in the Cape Cliff Dining Room. From our delightful Server to Executive Chef Jenifer's amazing cuisine's presentation and food skill, this experience was a winner on all counts. Not the easiest location to reach from the East Coast- with an almost 9+ hour journey, with a connecting flight we missed, due to the booking agent not including the 20 minute walking factor from one terminal to the next terminal and being a remote Nova Scotia location. …
Such a beautiful location and the staff are very helpful. The menu is made up of locally sourced food that was excellently prepared. The golf course hugs the ocean coast. So beautiful! I would recommend this resort to anyone looking for a relaxing break.
Beautiful place and great Staff. We attended for a wedding with 90 people in total . We played a round of Golf while others used the Pool and Spa. The rooms and Grounds were seconded to none. This place is worth a stay and the food was well appointed.
My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful couple of rounds of golf on a great course. Course conditions were very very good. Golf and hotel staff could not have been better. The back nine on the water is so scenic even bad shots are easily tolerated.
Fantastic resort. Immaculate grounds, course in excellent condition despite being at the end of a long summer. We had a golf suite and it was exceptional; the bathroom was fantastic. Views were magnificent, the food was good and the staff was excellent and very responsive.
For a luxury property, we were quite disappointed. The curb appeal is there with the swanky front gate and gardens, but our room was poorly maintained, the non-golf activities were for us, at least, not family friendly or easily accessible, and the food was not enjoyable. Perhaps our expectations were too high for the reputation of this resort, and perhaps if you are a couple without children going just for golf, it is the right place for you.
We were traveling from CT to Cape Breton and stayed over in Truro (about an hr from the resort) for a few nights to play golf here. What an experience! The starter was great, the course was in great shape, the views on the back 9 were amazing and we met 3 foxes on 15 that hung out with us on the green. The drinks, food, servers (we enjoyed a conversation with a young woman bartender who was working her last day before heading back to college and she couldn’t have been more friendly!) afterward were all top notch!! VERY pricey ($506 for two walking at 2:20 on a Sun.), but the memories are priceless! Wish the pro shop was still open when we left, would have purchased hats and shirts.
