Surrounded by Mountains,Tea Gardens and a Waterfall it is a great setting of Nature with all its bounties.A perfect hideout for people who want to relax in a peaceful environment without any disturbance, enjoying the beauty of pristine nature relaxing near the pool and hearing the sounds of crickets and the gurgling waterfall which can be viewed from the resort. The cottages and rooms are also aesthetically designed to gel with Nature. The Leaf cottage made partly of Bamboo leaf, The Mud cottage made of Mud and the Treetop cottage which has a Deck perched on a tree. The rooms have a good view of the swimming pool and the mountains. The resort has a restaurant where homely food served which is all prepared fresh with vegetables grown within the estate of the resort itself.Guests can trek down to the waterfall nearby and enjoy the tea estates and the Nature around or choose to take a Jeep safari which would take them into the wilderness where they can see numerous waterfalls, flowing rivers, a fish pond, hanging bridges etc. They can also choose to travel to Munnar for sightseeing and boating.

Our understanding is that we want to be happy; naturally peaceful, this simplicity is how we are._(())_
Yet overtime we have managed to get so caught up in this world and our bodies that our time is focused on desire, need, greed, a timefullness.
The time is now for us to return to our natural state, to feel for a moment that happy little part of ourselves, in peace, welcome to Wild Elephant World.
This place is the corridors to other worlds where fresh clean water waterfalls flow freely down the slopes, as every step is walking you through an enchanted world encouraged to exist in its natural state. Private tours are available for trekking through unchartered territory as guides literally clear a path to what I call the "Angel Land", where even the flowers look like angels. Discovering beauty unforeseen by commercial tours. It's creating your own adventure from watching the dancing elephants to experienced trekking expeditions. Tasting the raw flavours in natures kitchen cooking with bamboo or relaxing in the restaurant which provides a simple variety of basic Kerala cuisine. This untouched estate invites you to your own private encounter with nature in the comfort of your choice of rooms from private bungalows to rooms with a view enjoying afternoon tea from your balcony as friendly staff are eager to help make your stay here memorable.
Relaxing to the sound of nature's music where you can experience the beauty of heaven here on earth.
Arriving with an open mind and leaving all expectations behind will ensure you experience the full beauty of this Eco world sustaining itself as nature intended it to be.
Breath in the fresh air and let the rest unfold before your eyes .
For me if I never had to go back, I would never want to leave "Wild Elephant World"

In 2017, my wife and I stayed at this place. We met another couple there, by chance, who were also from our hometown in the US. The owner of the place turned out to be not very honest. He took us on a tour and tricked us into paying for a whole meal that he actually ate. He also charged us for our driver without telling us beforehand.
Later, when we left, we realized the owner was being unethical. He used our pictures and the other couple's pictures to promote his resort without asking us. I told him not to do that, he promised he won't but he kept doing it. He even sent us lots of unwanted promotional messages on WhatsApp. We had to block him in the end.
The owner talks a lot about being eco-friendly, but the place doesn't really follow those principles to an extent he boasts about it. It's just an average place on a hill. If you decide to go there, be careful of the owner. He might try to cheat you with hidden charges on his tours.

I made the booking for couple of my friends and also transferred Rs. 3000.00 as an advance at least a month before the booking date. When I called to confirm the same 2 days before the arrival date, I got a shock of my life when they told me that our room has not been confirmed. This happened on 4th of November 2013. I am constantly in touch with Mr. Anil who is the manager (At least he calls himself that). It has been more than 2 months now and have still not got the refund. Whenever I call him he says he will call me back and switches off his phone. I hope atleast now after posting such a review here, the management will take some action and refund my money. Or else I will have to take this matter legally further.

1. 25 KM away from Munnar City, and you have spent atleast 1000 INR to reach city either via Auto or and Open Jeep as the roads are very BAD.
2. No Intercom Facility
3. No Internet
4. Mobile connection is BAD, only BSNL works
5. Food is very expensive and since it is FAR away from Munnar City so you don't have much option available.
6. No Hot water is available, very poor facility.

The rooms sucking they have holes in the walls. You also find a lexicon of insects and arachnids. As soon as I entered the room I was welcomed by a tarantula I killed the ferocious fellow with my suitcase. The food was appalling no even dogs will eat it. Mr Anil is a cheat who lures you into booking a cottage in the resort. It is situated 25km from munnar city which makes it somewhat secluded. U find better hotels in the city. DON'T STAY IN THIS Resort.

We arrived at about 5pm having booked on Expedia and the staff said they had no record of the booking. It needed a phone call to the absent manager to get us a room despite the fact there were no other guests. We were told the manager would arrive at 6pm. Then we were told he would arrive at 8pm. It was too late to go anywhere else especially since it was an hours drive on an awful road. The manager eventually arrived in the morning at Breakfast time. This was 8am THE only time they would serve breakfast. As had 8pm been the only time for dinner.
The staff seemed embarrased to have visitors.

The hotel has no wifi so no internet to check any other options.

The expedia website when we booked said only 1 room remaining, but we were the only people in the hotel.

The location is great out in the country but getting to and fro is a real and expensive problem. The car next morning cost us IR900.

The food was at best average with limited choice.

The room was quite small but otherwise adequate.

Properly run and with an improvement to the road this could be a reasonable option. But until then it is not good value.

The resort is 24kms from Munnar town on Kallar Mankulam Road. There is waterfall at a distance of 1km from the resort. The view from the resort consists of tea estates and mountains. Anakulam which is 12km from the resort is a place where Wild Elephants come in herds to drink water from a nearby river. Apart from all this you could take a jeep safari into the wilderness

1 Whether Bugs and insects will be there would depend on whether it rains. During this time it normally doesn't rain but you never know. 2 We serve Non Veg food and authentic Kerala food 3 You need to book Bamboo cottage or Leaf cottage for the views 4 Smoking outside the room is permitted as long as it is not objectionable to other guests 5 Light jacket would suffice 6 We don't allow high volume music etc We are next to Forest area which is 24 kms from Munnar town which has it's beauty and pristine nature and a nearby waterfall visible from the resort
