I stayed at Hotel Degen for two weeks in the summer. I know that Europe typically doesn't have air conditioning, but boy if a room ever needed one, it was mine and the room next to me. We were on the first floor of the main building and we faced the patio of the restaurant. No…
I attempted to checkin today but the hotel seemed to be abandoned. This was after I had email communications with somebody, not sure who. I was left in a lurch and had to find last minute accommodations in a nearby city.
I was in Weilerbach for work for a few days and stayed in the hotel Degen.

What a great surprise. This place was recommended by locals and it was even better than expected. I had a wonderful meal of sautéed salmon with leeks and almond potatoes! Food was cooked to perfection. Great service, easy parking and reasonably priced. (18.40€) including beer!
"I'd definitely request a room in the building separate of the main check in area -- it will be much quieter!"
"We were given rooms across from the parking lot. Perhaps service might have been better if we were in the main hotel."
"Town festivals are held in the parking lot, so you might ask about that if you think the noise might be an issue for you."
"Choose main building for better wifi signal."
