We did not stay at the hotel but ate dinner at the hotel's restaurant. It was a wonderful experience! The staff were very friendly, lovely atmosphere and excellent food. Easy to find location and parking is plenty. The menu has a good selection of dishes to try. I had the tomato soup with feta cheese, salmon and apple strudel! I...

Stayed for 3 nights. I was over in the annexe on the opposite side of the car park from the main hotel. There is free wifi but it doesn't seem to reach that far, although it works fine in and outside the main building. Rooms are simple and very clean and the service in the hotel is good. The breakfast...

We stayed at the hotel 1 night in December, 2012. We have eaten at the restaurant several times from 2012 to 2014. The food is excellent, lots of meat choices with real German sides. Everything we have ordered has been great. The hotel room was typical German, very clean, sparse, no frills. The hotel rooms are across the parking lot...

Friendly staff, nice rooms. It literally is, what it says on the tin. Unfortunately I can´t rate the restaurant, as it was closed at the time of my stay. Breakfast was good and any extra wish was no trouble at all.

We stayed at Hotel Degen for 3 nights while visiting a friend in the area. The hotel worked out perfectly. The room was spotless and efficient. The restaurant delicious. And the service was personal and friendly. We hope to stay here again on our next visit!

Stayed there 2 nights in April, for business trip. 2 buildings with parking place in the center, centrally in the small town. Main building with restaurant (famous "Schnitzel" was stated in previous reviews), breakfast OK, free wifi, rooms are clean, daily service OK. Staff speaks English (US military base nearby). Single bed for 50,-Euro with breakfast.

This restaurant has an excellent selection of German cuisine. Most restaurants in the area just have 20 different ways to eat Schnitzel. They have two separate dining areas, each providing a different atmosphere. They have great lunch specials. The evening menu is a bit more pricey. The service is quick and they have both a German and English menu. The...

Look up their Spiesekarte (menu in German) before you go and you can look at the descriptions and prices. As with most restaurants, there is a lunch menu which is substantially cheaper than dinner. Cave dining to the left of the bar is interesting and intimate, but can get loud if there is a function going on that night. Upstairs...

Did not stay at the hotel, but the restaurant is excellent. Located in the center of town right off the main street. Parking is ample. Totally enjoyed the appetizer, main course, side dishes and dessert. Service was very good as well. Excellent English is spoken.

While timing could have been better due to the business trip being during what must have been the hottest part of summer for the area, Hotel Degen was a good choice and we will return. The only downside was just like most smaller hotels in Europe, no air conditioning. Set in a delightful small village tucked in behind the USAF...
