Haven't been to any place like this, This place has class written all over it. I could just go on talking about the rooms and service. What absolutely sets it apart is its brilliant people. And the Kind of culture, they have where the Naturalists actually spend time with you talking about their true passion and the real reason you... More

We were a bit worried about safari's in India having done a bit of travelling in in Africa. Forsyth Lodge and Satpura National park were great and so much more than we expected. The wildlife viewing in the park was great ad the number of jeeps small enough that sightings did not get crowded. Our guide was great and made... More

We have previously travelled in India but had not visited this area before. We arrived from Bhopal in time for lunch and received a very warm welcome before settling into our very comfortable rooms. Lunch was the first of many excellent meals at Forsyth Lodge. Each meal included several different dishes which we thoroughly enjoyed and found that for those... More

I had stayed at Forsyth Lodge in the past (2010) and I asked to return in 2015 for four nights. The manager, Rishi, and his wife, are extraordinary hosts and their staff are top notch! My room was palatial, meals were delicious, and surroundings spectacular - especially sitting on the roof and looking at the stars in the evening.

I could start by telling you about the lovely rustic cottages with all their amenities, including air conditioning, but I prefer to focus on what really made my time at Forsyth exceptional which was the staff, the scenery and the wildlife. I went hoping to see sloth bears and was not disappointed as I had 11 very good sightings in... More

This is not a hotel with an ordinary managerial staff but a wild life lodge with proffessional wild life managers and guides all the way up on management level. The atmosphere created by the managers is so good that all guests and guides immideately start... More

We stayed at Forsyth Lodge in April for 3 nights. Our lodge was fantastic with an indoor and out bedroom area. The accommodation was first class and exceptionally clean. We took advantage of both sleeping areas and found both beds really comfortable. The bathroom would not have been out of place in a million pound house and the pool offered... More

Everything about the Forsyth Lodge is amazing to begin with. Be it the rooms, the decor, the tranquility, it is the best escape to relax and rejuvenate. It is very close to the Satpura National Park which makes it really easy to do the early morning safaris since the drive isn't long to the park. The naturalists at the lodge... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Forsyth's Satpura is a stylish and an environmentally friendly lodge that is engaged with the park management and the local community in a pioneering effort to create an unprecedented jungle experience in one of the most exciting tiger habitats in the world. This is an effort to create an exceptional wilderness experience for those who truly revel in wild places far from the jeep borne hordes that have defaced so many other parks. Here we provide you with an opportunity to explore the jungle on foot, by canoe's, on elephant back, jeeps and motorised boats. You can also experience the nocturnal creatures that the jungles offer by sitting in our machaan which is set in the 45 acres of wilderness around the lodge. We have been ranked 2nd in the recent survey by Conde Nast traveller in the top 30 eco destinations in India and have also been awarded for our outstanding performance by TOFT. ... more   less
