We booked one night to visit Bath, Its about 30 minutes travel by car. we arrived around tea time, the landlady was helpful, happy and accommodating. the room was great for 3 of us, a double bed and one single. its was small but sufficient to sleep in. As we had the bar downstairs to sit in, we also ordered...

The pub was recommended by a worker at the hotel we were staying at as the hotel menu was appalling. The menu here was very good. We both had steak with home made chips. The landlady was pleasant and overall a nice meal in a lovely quant pub. Would recommend to others.

We go here sometimes with friends on a Tuesday as it's curry night. We don't actually like curry but there's plenty of other things n the menu, including n excellent steak & ale pie, a dish pie I think they call it; not just a puff pastry floating on top, but a base, walls and top, and it comes on...

We stumbled across this pub completely by accident and it is definitely a place we'll be visiting again! We all had a carvery which was delicious and the beef was cooked beautifully. It was also perfect for vegetarians as there was an abundance of perfectly cooked veg, roast potatoes and veggies, Yorkshire puddings and cauliflower cheese. Two of us eating...

On the recommendation of our hotel we went here for the evening. A very cozy pub with a warm atmosphere. Menu was "typical pub food" but fairly priced and good quality. However in this age of craft beers and an explosion of choice the beer on offer was very disappointing. Sadly the knowledge of the bar staff was equally lacking....

We stopped here because they took dogs. They were friendly and welcoming and very pleasant. The food was good and reasonably priced. Really nicely laid out bar and lounge area. This was the first pub in Somerset that took dogs. I am glad we stopped well worth it.

Went there for a night, between visiting family. Great place to stay, friendly welcome, landlady showed us to our room and then left us to it. Had a meal in the restaurant that night, had the cheese starter and steak mains. Very well priced, well cooked and great service again. I'd recommend to anyone who needs a well priced place...

Wonderful food in a comfortable setting! Highly recommended ☺ a full and tempting menu to cater for all tastes. For a great Sunday carvery then this is the place to eat! A devious selection of roasts and great value
