I went there in 2021 through TripAdvisor and it was amazing. So came home and booked again straight away. TripAdvisor no longer has an affiliation with them however they honoured my booking however it was such a disappointing start from the year before. There was no comparison especially with the food at a 5 star resort . Sent it back limited menu compared to 2021. We got there late and our room wasn't ready . Book in time was 3pm and room still wasn't ready. Then hadn't removed the meal that we returned when we went to book out and hadn't taken out 60 for and wine voucher of the room until I questioned their charges. No yoga class open as per our voucher but no credit offered They then apologised and asked us to give them a second chance when I wrote my review . No thanks not at my own expense I don't think so . Just to be clear out boarders we're closed so we had no Covid issue's at that stage in Western Australia. Buffet breakfast was no comparison to 2021.…
Paid 5 stars price per night but service less than 3 stars. Checked in, but had to carry your own luggage to your room. The reception said “it’s only a short walk away to your room, it’s easy to carry your own luggage there”. No daily housekeeping, so you are expected to stay in a resort but expectation of an Airbnb. Ordered additional supplies and being delivered the next day. Means waited for 12 hours to arrive. Booked dinner at the restaurant but please finish your dinner by this limited time. I stayed this fantastic property several times and this time around, bad customer experience overall. I will be back again cuz of this nice resort but please lower down your service expectation. Maybe this hotel should consider self service option since limited staff strength.
Do not book through this website. It’s the first to come up in a search for the Pullman Bunker Bay. It is a third party and is based in US. On a search for two nights, nowhere did is say the price was for one night when we were booking for two until my husband checked out. “ guestreservations” The resort itself is lovely! Is it worth over $600 per night? NO! Currently they are running with minimal staff and taking in maximum return. If you are paying that amount of money, you would think you would at least have your room serviced daily. There was nothing special about it to be asking those prices. The breakfast was amazing. The dinner menu was limited and food average. Unable to get into the restaurant, we were put on a cancellation list on the second night. However after viewing the menu, I didn’t think it was special enough to eat there when we were offered a cancellation. There was quite a few items that were the same on both menus. The bar menu was not worth returning to for the second night. We booked a Lakeview room and were allocated 601. If you get this room, ask to be moved to another as this is right next to the bridge accessing the beach where every guest looks straight into your room. Staff were all friendly and lovely. Surroundings were amazing.…
As part of a tour group we arrived full of expectations. The resort looks good nestled in the bush just above the Bunker Bay Beach. Unfortunately a few of the rooms weren't ready even though it was 5pm. The rooms are lovely - large and well appointed, good bathrooms. A short walk and you are on the beach - a lovely spot to watch sunset. We had a welcome dinner. The food cool at best with the entrees only warm and the mains cool - served on cold plates. Also the service was disappointing with a significant gap between entrees and the mains and again to dessert. Hopefully this was an off night!
We had an amazing room overlooking the lake Close to beach walk The room was very roomy especially the bathroom The balcony was lovely for an afternoon local wine drink The only downside was the restaurant First night the meal was excellent except for the bone marrow Second night 4/10 I think due to staffing Cocktails were fantastic the barman made the best aperol spritz
Very disappointed. Couldn't even get into the restaurant for dinner. Would have been better with some microwave dinners over the room service options (from the limited options available). Waited over 45min for an bucket of ice.. ended up walking to reception and getting my own. Poor service. Same excuse everyday... "So sorry we are understaffed". If they are selling 150 rooms for a weekend, the staff numbers should be employed to suit. Appears Pullman are happy to make maximum profits over delivering a service that the customer is paying for. The worst hotel experience I have encountered from a reputable organisation. Might be worth a visit in summer when the pool & beach can be utilised. But I would not waste your time going here in the cooler months. The locals get preference to the guests with the restaurant.…
Beautiful hotel and location. Location of the hotel straight down onto a beautiful beach. Need transport to get there. Sadly the quality of the catering of both the food and the service, let down the experience.
A friend and I spent a week at this resort and whilst there were a few issues to address, overall our experience was a very positive one. Staff at this hotel work so hard especially the bar staff and waiters. Not only do they work hard they are friendly, helpful and so polite. A very special mention to Juan who was a huge asset to the Pullman Bunker Bay. We stayed in a 2 bedroom villa, everything was good quality but starting to show it's age. Villas are great as they are very quiet and private. As we were over sixties we appreciated being at the top end of the resort as it is very steep. The pool was lovely but there are no stairs so access is only by steel ladders. Ok for most but difficult for some. Golf buggies are used to transport both people and their luggage. This worked well as they were very prompt. Breakfast was very extensive and great quality. Cakes at breakfast was a bit indulgent but hey it was a holiday! Their housemade muesli was the best I've ever had. We had mother's day lunch in the restaurant and it was a highlight. Reasonably priced and 5 star quality. It was impossible to get a table for dinner so book well ahead, prior to arriving I suggest. We were able to have dinner in the bar area but choices were limited and would benefit from some rotation as choices were the same all week. The beach is beautiful but looked dangerous, there were no lifeguards and signs that warned of numerous sharks. Many tours to vineyards are available, also gin distilleries and brewery's. Pottery and chocolate in the area too. I would recommend Esquire with Bill at the wheel of a vintage rolls Royce. We had the best day with his tour. A beautiful area surrounded this resort. Mammoth caves is also fantastic. We loved our week here.…
We stayed for two nights. The team were very welcoming and helpful. The villa was clean and neat. Hats of to the restaurant staff we had good service overall. Very nice stay with a bonus of good weather
We read quite a few negative reviews about Pullmans Bunkers Bay. We have travelled quite widely and found our King Room Villa very clean and well appointed. Probably the biggest bathroom we have experienced anywhere. Staff were friendly and helpful. We had two nights and didn't leave the hotel. enjoyed our first night meal delivered to our room. Our second night we managed to find a spot at the hotel restaurant, a lovely evening. The breakfast is most likely one of the best we have enjoyed in a hotel, great selection, all tastes met. The hotel pool was heated to a very comfortable swim on a day not too warm. One quirky thing is that the room bar fridge is not stocked until you request the items you want to have. I would have thought a few cans of various drinks would have worked fine. Also the resort seemed to be lacking any nibbles like packet chips or nuts. Overal a lovely weekend away.…
