Was a little wary before coming down to the resort given the comments made by other guests in various reviews but turns out these concerns were unfounded. The villa we stayed in overlooked the late and was spacious, clean and the furnishings good. The gymnasium is ok but a bit on the small side, the pool was great and busy all day. The staff are all friendly and greet you without fail. We had breakfast included in our package and despite some COVID related issues related to serving food, the meals were fine although the range of hot food food was quite limited for a 5 star resort. We have had a wonderful 3 night stay and have already booked again for next year.
Amazing stay and even better customer service by all involved. The booking process (THANK YOU SO MUCH, Edith, you're amazing!), checking in (Sean and Alexia), dinning (Darren), beverages, facilities, rooms the lot. We just wished the flies weren't as friendly as they were :) and that we could have stayed another day or two.
Was so looking forward to our two night stay at the Pullman, but unfortunately it did not live up to my expectations. Studio villa was nice but looking a bit tired. Telephone did not work - had to call the resort from my mobile to order room service ( and wait through all the number options to speak to someone). Told it would be addressed the next day...but never was. Not a big issue, except when our room service arrived and one meal had been forgotten. Had to go through the same rigmarole again to speak to someone. Also something definitely wrong with the shower taps. Even when the cold water tap was turned on as much as it would turn, the shower was still extremely hot...too hot to shower in. Turning the hot tap less made no difference. Didn’t bother complaining given we were there only a short time, and given they didn’t address the phone problem, I didn’t expect they would address the shower problem. Pool was okay, but good luck getting a chair/ sun lounger by the pool. Very few available for the size of the resort. Very disappointing. We got there early on our second morning and by 8.30am they were all taken. Food is okay but definitely not 5-star. Staff the same. Overall I feel the place is soul-less. Andhas no at,osphere. It is okay for couples but I certainly wouldn’t recommend it for families. Other than the pool (if you are lucky enough to get a seat) and beach, there would be nothing for kids to do there. Even for groups of friends, no where other than the pool (again the seat issue) or the bar if you wanted to hang out together (or inside a villa...not ideal). Not even the limited view of the ocean can make up for what this “resort” is lacking.…
We have read the reviews that others have made and was concerned prior to going on vacation - the flys, the service, the food, the price etc... My review comes from someone who travels a great deal around the world and I have a reasonable benchmark. I have been coming to bunker bay since 2006 and have try other resorts and accomdation in the region. What we found was a very busy hotel in peak season doing its best to provide excellent service under COVID 19 conditions and at maximum capacity. What was good: - accommodating to families and children - Breakfast,(e.g. eggs /extras at no charge) and barista coffee offered for free - A warm pool with a full-service bar operating most of the day. - Day Spa with probable the best massages I have ever had which I had two on separate days amazing. This was also the same on my last visit. - Kids club and the ability to use the room when no Kids club is operational - General price of the drinks was a quite good and excellent value day spa - amazing location - next to the beach with blue water and the great weather. With a cafe at the beach. - excellent internet considering the location (in the past bunker bay had the worst internet of any resort in WA) - the breakfast service team were excellent and on the ball. no request was too hard. What was bad: - No much really except for the flies but thats not the hotel fault. They did offer free fly nets for guest. What can be improved: - Outdoor Playground for children considering the number of families - Children play pool - Modernisation of some of the day spa and hotel facilities including rooms - Rooms need a refresh - Bar fllor staff where ideal and slow to re-act, especially after breakfast to lunch time period. I am sure this can be easily improved with a chat to the team. Look the hotel management is aware of all these issues considering the state of the industry and impact on COVID it will probable be a while for some of these items to be improved. But I believe they have will and vision to do it. Overall Great Stay…
Flies were ridiculously bad. So much so, everyone was buying and wearing nets. Reception were exceptionally unhelpful. Pool needs to be cleaned. Food is overpriced. Noise from neighbouring rooms is annoying. Breakfast is good though. Really good access to the beach. Location is good. Overpriced for what it is.
