As others have written, Marko and Breda are lovely hosts. Actually the whole family is a wonder to behold. You will recognize the eldest son by his helpfulness and his stature. Hint: he plays on the Slovenian national basketball team. The B&B is a converted farmhouse next to a corn field. Ignore Google Maps after getting off the main road. Your eyes will be a better guide and you’ll avoid the cockamamie route you’ll otherwise be sent on. They’ve set up nice, comfortable rooms. (Okay, here is my only criticism: the towels are scratchy.) I liked the breakfast very much. It included home-made jams and sauces. A very nice, inexpensive stay with helpful and friendly hosts.
Marko and Breda were warm and welcoming hosts. They told us the history of the region and advised us on how to plan our days. Our room was very comfortable and the homemade breakfast was delicious. Their B&B is in an ideal spot for visiting the local attractions like Skofja Loka, Kranj, Ljubljana and the wonderful mountain drive to Austria. We would love to return one day.
This is definitely a five star B&B. It is in a great location - about 30 minutes from Lake Bled, 20 minutes from Ljubljana and close to many other places in Slovenia. The rooms are clean and well presented. The breakfast contents are mainly home made and delicious. Importantly, the hosts are wonderful and friendly. They offer you so many suggestions on what to see and do, that you wished you'd stayed longer.
Stayed a weekend here and was spoiled something wonderful. We wish wish we could have stayed longer. Breda and Marko are hosts par excellence. The rooms are cosy and very comfortable with lots of restored antique furniture. Breakfasts are huge and locally sourced. Homemade preserves and home baked bread served up in a sunny breakfast room. If you are veggie or vegan - no problem. Breda and Marko can provide lots of local information and tips of places to visit and things to see in the area. We will be going here again for sure.
The location is wonderful, in a quiet and lovely place near the forest. The hosts were very friendly, they speak well English and gave us directions and suggestions about what to visit in Slovenia. They made our stay very pleasant, with their open hearted stories about the places nearby and how they build the house. The furniture is hand made by them and we had a fabulous breakfast with home made healthy delicious food. I recommend it and hope to get back for a longer stay in the following years.
