Sunderban Tiger Camp started in 2004, located on Dayapur Island on the banks of the River Pitchkhali opposite the Sunderban Tiger Reserve famous for the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger and Salt water crocodiles and variety of birds, is a comfortable, ecofriendly resort for exploring the regions fascinating mangrove forests, islands and wildlife. As this island has no electricity and fresh water available, our guests are able to enjoy hospitality through rain water harvesting and solar energy. Guests can relax and enjoy the sun whilst cruising or at the resort. For the more active, our reception can organize tours round the Sunderban region or special activities such as wildlife safaris, dingy boat rides and crab catching. The resort has a private lake for viewing migratory bird and special birding walks within its grounds. You can even plant a tree with our gardeners. Visit to the local villages and cultural performance of tribal dance and Bon Bibi Jatra are also available.
