CoCo Cottage had been built up on Koh Ngai since 2004 while there was no electricity, no water supply. Our first idea was we wanted to create a small, safe and clean place on this virgin island. And thing that can’t be forgotten! if we want to enjoy the place for a long time, we have to take care of it. So we decided to create an eco-chic resort where rustic and design is combined. We believe that when people escape from concrete forests of their everyday life and go to a remote island in Thailand. Nothing is better than living in a small coconut bungalow surrounded by nature. In the past decade, the hotel and tourism industry in Thailand had grown up rapidly. Fortunately, Koh Ngai is still an unspoiled island, probably because 70% of the area is a forest belonging to the national park. We don’t know the future. But we always challenge ourselves to keep balancing between Koh Ngai's environment and tourism industry. Let us be lucky!!

This is a premium-priced resort on a scenic unspoilt Thai island. The beach, the sea, the sounds of birds makes Koh Ngai a dream destination and CoCo Cottage has a lot going for it. The staff are kind, efficient and helpful. The food and the service are excellent and the resort prides itself on its ‘tropical island’ vibe. But for all that the resort is tired and in dire need of tender loving care. The cottages are in need of refurbishment and upgrading - beds and bedding have seen better days. The bathrooms need remodelling and the general maintenance is suffering from the effects of lack of attention to detail. A chair and small table in the cottages would be a great addition. The price of a stay at CoCo is high and the attention to these small details would reflect in the overall ambiance of the resort. Transfers to and from the resort were efficiently done. It would be a pity if the work of the staff was not reflected in investment in the property.

This was a true definition of a remote paradise for me during my island hopping shenanigans. I happened to be the only guest for a few days due to travel restrictions in the country at the time. What more could I ask for? If you are looking for a remote island, a quiet me time, and a beautiful place to stay with amazing food and amenities, I highly recommend this place. The resort is towards the end of a ~2-mile strech of a beach. I watched sunrise every morning while jogging along the beach. I truly enjoyed the beachfront villa with an outdoor shower and my little swing on the porch. Two outstanding amenities Coco Cottage had that no other island resorts had where I stayed were Wi-Fi speed as I was working remotely during my travels and hot water for shower all the time. I ended up staying 5 nights instead of 1 . I tried different Thai dishes everyday and did not disappoint. I highly recommend fried fish with different sauces and Massaman Gai. It was nice to be in the blue waters as there was no jellyfish during my entire stay at the resort. They have sun chairs by the restaurant, in front of the infinity pool, and a big swing - perfect for a great photo opp. Hats off to Natalie, Amy and Fang who were super sweet and very attentive. It made my stay even more memorable.

We stayed here for 3 nights in February. The cottage is overall nice and the breakfast and restaurant were great. But their practice of shutting down the air conditioner from 10 am to 4 pm was maddeningly annoying, especially given it's hot during this time. We would have been happy to pay extra to have air conditioning the whole day, but there was no such option. There are only a few covered lounge beds outside, which a few guests blocked the whole day. The owners never asked them to share the beds with other guests. The beach is rocky throughout the island and there were lots of jellyfish. The hotel people were very kind when I got stung by jellyfish, and gave me vinegar with herbs, which worked immediately. But swimming was impossible. Also, they kept giving us two plastic bottles a day - such a waste. Two refillable bottles would have been perfect.

This is a lovely secluded island that has several resorts and cottages on its east shores and one resort on its west side ( hope I got that right). The beach is great for walking and about 2 km long. There is a jungle walk that takes you across the island, which is interesting and lots of kayaking and snorkeling if you’re so inclined The island is very quiet. No real shops to speak of so bring everything you need. Co co cottages are clean and spacious and the resort offers good food and drinks at a reasonable price. There is a water bottle refill station that cost 15 baht per refill which is great. Don’t forget your insulated drinking bottles. Breakfast is included in the price and is both Thai and international. All in all a great place. Doesn’t get 5 stares because there are no WOW elements but seriously an absolutely wonderful place for a peaceful stress free vacation

Do you know that feeling? Sitting on a longtail boat in Thailand and when it approaches a resort you think: ‘please let that be mine’! Well, that’s CoCo Cottage for you in a nutshell. Situated on a beautiful stretch of sun kissed beach where the waters are impossibly bleu, CoCo Cottage offers a blissful stay on a (how is this still possible) remote and quite little island. If you are looking for a great couple of days away from it all in beautiful surroundings, CoCo Cottage is the way to GO!

The place which no only męt byt also exceeded our expectations. This is a pearl in the already heaviliy touristic Thailand where you can feel like in a calm paradise- no rush, limited amount of turists, awesome space and relaxing atmosphere. The staff is extremelly friendly and helpful. The restaurant is also very decent however The prices are rather high- this is however hotel’s restaurant so could have been expected. I would make this place one of my top travels destinations so far :) Definitely worth coming Here while travelling in Thailand. 🤗🏝

Really fantastic place with a service better than anywere else. The resorts and the bungalows are pretty easy and no fancy at all, but very charmy. The breakfast was good and the food we orderd was the best! The only bad thing was that you cant bath on low tides becourse of all coralls and rocks on the beach.. but its better 500 meter south on the island. No pool on the resort, so not the best place for familys with kids.

the statement "one of the best resort i have ever stayed" is not over-claimed here. The best thing i like is the beach-front area that hotel provided for the guests to relax and enjoy the super relaxing atmosphere. it is so comfy that i could lay down all day long. The staffs, especially khun wit is very enthusiastic and kind. The room is nice and very clean. Will definitely go back and stay in the beach front- room next time Highly recommend to everyone who will visit Koh ngai

I would highly recommend a stay at Coco Cottages if you want to totally relax. The Cottages are comfortable, the breakfast has enough choice to suit most and the staff are excellent. And on top of all that the location and view are perfect. If there is something you might not be happy about is reef shoes are needed on your feet as the coral is close to shore and at low tide you wouldn't be swimming.

We stayed here 10 years ago and although it's still nice, the rooms are looking a bit jaded now, they need a makeover. They could do with installing fridges and a kettle, tea, coffee etc. The staff are nice and the food was good. The highlight must be eating dinner next door at Light My Fire, it was such a nice welcoming place run by a charming aging Thai "Hippy" called Don.
