Welcome to Winter Wonderland! 20 dreamlike rooms uniquely carved by master ice sculptors from around the world. Enjoy an unforgettable dinner and a night cap in the ice bar. Sleep safely and warm in thermal sleeping bags, in complete arctic stillness. Our snow hotel is open 20.12-20.04. Our Gamme cabins are open all year round. Inspired by the traditional Lapland hunting and fishing hut “gamme” found in the Sami areas of the Arctic. All cabins are equipped as small jewels - air conditioning, underfloor heating, bathroom with Aurora wall. Be sure to visit our Winter Park: our reindeer, dogyard with its 200 huskies. Stop by Gabba Cafe for lunch. Prebook and enjoy a 3 course dinner in the magnificent Laven restaurant. Last but not least, visit the surreal Snowhotel. We also arrange northern lights tours, snowmobile safaris, ice fishing and snowshoe walking tours, the infamous Kirkenes King Crab Safari and numerous Husky activities. This is a review of a huskie and deer feeding tour that also included a trip around the Snow Hotel. I couldn't find that specific tour on TA but the person who did the tour worked at the hotel and everything we did was on their grounds. So feeding the husky puppies and deer was lovely, the puppies were incredibly friendly and enjoyed being played with. The snow hotel was truly a sight to be seen. The incredible craftsmanship on the ice sculptures and interior decoration was amazing, and the design and construction of the hotel itself is a real feat. I'd definitely have spent a night there if it was open for visitors, but it was closed when we visited. As good as all this was, the actual highlight was our German tour guide Michael. You could tell how much he loved this place

The snow hotel itself is amazing and the huskies and rides and walks were fantastic. the food was good and the property is pretty. The staff was friendly. that said, if you stay in a cabin.know that they are tiny and basic. Sleeping in the snow hotel is not for everyone. It is an experience though. You are wrapped in a sleeping bag and need to walk outside of the hotel into the building to use the bathroom. Also bus loads of tourists come through the snow hotel regularly.

Absolutely great. Picked up promptly at city hotel, our guide Michael was so entertaining and informative - great sense of humour. By the time we reached Snow Hotel we had laughed and learnt a lot. I’m so glad I toured the hotel, but not sure I feel comfortable about sleeping inside but many would love it. Each room has its own ice carved themes - really incredible. And I’m glad the “guy” at the reception desk was carved out of ice!! We also saw the huskies - holding one of the adorable 12 week old puppies was a high-light. The naughty reindeer didn’t show up, probably asleep - it is clear the animals here are much loved. If in Kirkenes definitely visit, or stay, in the Snow Hotel.

I was very glad to disembark my Hurtigruten cruise and very happy to come to the Snowhotel. It is sensational. A huge igloo full of ice carvings and multiple bedrooms. Even an ice sleigh bed! I opted for the Gamme cabin which was divine with a beautiful sitting room to look out onto the snow. It even had the northern lights in the bathroom. I did a 2 hour dog sled ride on a frozen fjord which was brilliant and also met some reindeers. I wasn't happy when after meeting the reindeers we were all encouraged to then cook our reindeer sausage. So passed on that. Nevertheless, this is a fabulous place with lots of activities and I only wished I'd spent less time on the cruise and more time in this glorious place. The restaurant cooked a lovely dinner and buffet breakfast. It was

Spent two nights here, first in the snow hotel and second in the gamma cabins. From arrival to departure we were looked after and guided through our stay. Wish we had had longer to enjoy all of the facilities and trips. If you have the opportunity this is a must! Xxx
