This was an amazing night in Norway. The hotel has 24 different rooms all with beautiful carvings plus of course the ice bar. You are provided with sleeping bags and other essentials for your overnight stay. A nice hot breakfast awaits you in the morning.

I stayed here for 1 night with my Dad, we were shown to room 16 with the huskies carved into it. Our luggage was taken into the warm room, which was next to the showers and toilets. We were then given sleeping bag liners and an arctic sleeping bag each and went up to have dinner. Our package included a...

What an amazing experience! We arrived on the Hurtigruten ship at 9am and were picked up and taken to the Snowhotel, where we were given a short tour of the property and had an amazing lunch in the Gabba hut. We did the four hour husky sledding in the afternoon (Alex was our guide and he was great!), had a...

We stayed for 2 nights at the Snow Hotel , first night in the -4C Snow White bedroom one of 26 "Ice rooms" which are form the Snow Hotel. There is an Ice Bar and 26 Bedrooms all themed and carved with individual sculptures. We slept on the Ice Bed in Arctic sleeping bags and had a briefing on how...

Staying overnight in a carved ice room was a unique (albeit once in a lifetime for me) experience. The entrance –bar- is beautifully lit and carved with a dog sled team and the 26 guest rooms are carved with different themes – huskies, Marilyn Monroe, and cutesy Disney, etc. Sleeping here was not as uncomfortable as I expected. After dinner,...

Our one night in the Snowhotel came at the end of a Hurtigruten cruise and we swapped our gently rocking cabin for a sub zero ice bed where a cotton sack and survival sleeping bag is what you get to see you through the night. The whole place is quite a set and undoubtedly a feat of endeavour to be...

Kirkenes Snowhotel is run casually yet efficiently. The staff are friendly and helpful, from the moment we were picked up in Kirkenes to taking us back. We had been up all the previous night - they found us a cabin that we could check in to immediately, to recover. The hardy can stay a night in the snowhotel which we...

We stayed at the Kirkenes Snowhotel for two nights. One night in the cabin and the one night in the snow room. The staff are extremely professional especially Mili from Croacia. He made sure that our trip was perfect. The first night we stayed in the cabins. What a dream come true! So nicely decorated and warm. The bathroom was semi-ecological....

We booked one night in a snow room (this review is only for the snow room and not a cabin) and while it was fun, exciting, and thoroughly interesting, I'd absolutely say it's a "once in a lifetime" experience. While I do recommend staying in the snow room, it's just one of those things where once you've done it once,...

We spent the night here to round off a weeks cruising the fjords. Lots of activities available, we went snowshoeing then husky sleddding at 3pm in the dark. A clear sky meant the northern lights appeared during the evening. Dinner was a set menu and could have been improved if the plates for the main course had been warm. Shots...

Snow is a gift from the sky. Cold, still, pure and beautiful. Welcome to Kirkenes Snowhotel. To a world where you sleep in snow, walk on snow and may drive a scooter or a dogsled on snow. We even serve snow in the restaurant! Our romantic Snowhotel opens December 20th., and is open until April 20th. Kirkenes Snowhotel lies secluded in the wilderness 8 km outside Kirkenes.
