A really very nice and well maintained facility. The apartment is large, spacious and well equipped. The service of all the staff was excellent. The facility can only be recommended. I will be happy to come back.
The minute we walked through the front door we were welcomed by Ana and Ruben which was lovely, it was liked being met by ‘old friends’. Both Ana and Ruben and indeed all the staff are so accommodating, it feels as if we are one family. We had spoken to Ana just before our visit as Portugal had introduced new Covid restrictions over the Christmas/New Year holiday, as usual Ana was extremely helpful explaining the new rules. We also had issues beginning of the year and had to delay our trip due to Covid, again communication with Ruben at reception was excellent throughout. As usual, our apartment was very spacious, clean and comfortable, with all amenities needed to ensure our stay is comfortable. each time we stay in an apartment it becomes my favourite one, I cannot find fault with any apartment we stay in, be it golf or pool side. Four Seasons Vilamoura is truly a wonderful place. Staff are second to none. They are all so friendly, attentive and super nice. The Covid 19 procedures are excellent and adhered too. Although under pressure due to new Covid requirements, everyone always had a smile on their face. You feel very safe The bar and restaurant staff could not do enough for us. Enjoyed our meals in the restaurant and the take out service when we had a quiet night in. The maids would always greet us with a ‘bom dia’ smiling especially at our attempts to wish them Happy New Year in Portuguese :-) In fact nothing was ever too much trouble for any staff member. We can’t wait to return. :-)…
The resort is a little oasis in the middle of village, 10 minutes from the harbour town and beach. The staff were extremely helpful and accommodating, and the view looked out onto a well maintained golf course. Although a bit cool to swim, the pools were clean and very well maintained.
Apartments are spacious, clean and very private. Easy to walk neighborhood and about 15-20 minutes walk to the Marina. Very accommodating staff, great masseuse and overall good food in resort. Most relaxing vacation of my life!
Recently returned from our timeshare in the Four Seasons Vilamoura (FSV) where we spent three weeks between 6th and 27th November Due to the relaxation of UK COVID overseas travel restrictions, the resort was considerably busier than our trips prior to the pandemic and especially when compared to last year where the UK entered lockdown and there was only 10% occupancy. The FSV management had also allowed timeshare owners to swap their weeks from earlier to later in the year (eg. March to November) and these factors meant that occupancy was running at over 90%. This scenario placed considerable extra pressure on the facilities and more importantly on the staff who despite having to wear a face mask at all times were excellent in maintaining a high level of service despite the additional stress that they were clearly operating under. I would also point out that many of the safeguarding measures introduced last year by FSV were no longer being adhered to by most UK visitors and actually ignored with many not wearing any facemask when indoors in public places or in close proximity to staff or other guests and not using hand sanitiser stations. This sort of selfish behaviour has clearly contributed to Portugal's recent return to a state of calamity. In FSV the indoor pool and sauna remain closed and the theme nights and a la carte restaurant remains waiter service only In Vilamoura, itself many of the restaurants were closing for their winter shutdown after the Portuguese masters golf tournament and the motorcycle grand prix. This impacted upon the demand placed on those restaurants around the marina and on a number of the bars, so it was important to check which restaurants were open and worth checking which weren't overcrowded with groups of golfers who tend to disrupt the ambience of a restaurant after several beers. Sad to see a number of old favourite shops and restaurants are now closed down but there are a number of new / refurbished places well worth a visit. The weather was good but changeable as the month progressed. A very relaxing break after a difficult year caused by the pandemic. …
