Great location, the friendliest staff, comfortable beds....very outdated building. Did not get the feel of a 4 star accomodation at all. Dinner was included in the package. Staff at the restaurant were wonderful. Food was medíocre. Very medíocre. Something you would get at a corner diner. Dessert selection was composed by a pudding and 2 types of fruit. Probably a...

We - family of 3 incl a teen - were at Hotel do Mar to be close to my aging parents and celebrate New Year together (at their place, not the hotel.) We had two communicating doubles just off the 7th floor mezzanine (same floor as the bar, one floor above the indoor pool.) We love this place. It's the...

We went in mid October and the hotel was quiet as was the town, but both were nice foe a relaxing holiday. Friday and Saturday nights in town were busy though. The hotel has to be entered on your arrival from the back (reception) as you need a card to enter from the beach side which you will be given...

This is an awesome hotel in such an exotic beach area. Absolutely loved every moment there in sesimbra. We were on a conference with my friends. We fully enjoyed the hotel and the food of this hotel. We were there in march 2011.

A perfect place for a quiet holliday. Have enjoyed the Do Mar hospitality now for approx 15 years, and will for certain be back! Roms are nice and clean, having the necessary installations. Like the sea wiew and the pool garden. And not at least, the very friendly, helpful and kind staff.

Definitely, the best thing about this hotel is its location. You will most definitely have one of the best views over the beach and sea. However, this is a typical big summer hotel, organized and decorated for families with kids that want to spend their holidays at the beach. Cheap furniture and easily cleanable surfaces. However, this will probably be...

The hotel is situated next to the beach in an elevated position above the beach with all rooms having a sea view. And what a great view that is. Fantastic! The transfer from Lisbon airport took about 50 minutes in a taxi so expect a little longer if taking public transport. The hotel itself is a little dated but it...

The Sesimbra Tourist Information office found us this hotel for one night for about 50% of their rack rates as posted in the lobby. The room was comfortable with a balcony and ocean view. Contrary to one comment, the included breakfast was very good considering the typical breakfast in Portugal, Spain or Italy. Our buffet included scrambled or boiled eggs,...

The hotel was right on the Beach. only a elevator and some steps. The Beach was 2.69 kms long. The hotel was quite modern. the rooms were OK and all rooms had a balcony which looked down on to the beach. The breakfast was good, but the one this misdsing was fried eggs. Overall a good hotel.
