Detailed Reviews
I arrived at the hotel around 4pm. The reception was very friendly the check-in process was very fast and effective. I was presented with a room on the 4th floor which could be accessed via stairs or an elevator. I opened the room to find dated decor but a spacious room for 1 person.
The bathroom was small and quite cramped it was stocked with towels. Shower gel and cups for water. The shower was clean but dated. The room was very warm as the hotel does not have air conditioning or provide fans within the room I asked at reception but they said they didn't provide them. It was 30 plus degrees so it made sleeping very difficult. There was no kettle or iron in the rooms which was disappointing for a 4* hotel. Overall the staff were very friendly but the hotel does need updating

We stayed for a day in zwolle while travelling with our bicycles. No problem to store the bike safely. There is also a secure parking at the back of the hotel. The hotel is only a 5 min walk from the centre of zwolle. I would give it 4 stars if it would have aircon.

Staff helpful and polite. Good breakfast with different times because of covid. When you join at a later time we experienced we had to wait 10 min. for croissants. The room was o.k. and clean. Easy to make biketrips from the hotel.

The staff was very unfriendly, the services very limited even though there are a lot of amenities, the rooms are tiny, the television was very small too, no bathtub, the swimmingpool area was very very dirty, no towels get offered, robes and slippers neither. It seems like they really don't know what they're doing in that hotel. they should offer much more in a beautiful location like that.

We travel to the Netherlands twice a year and this hotel has been our go to spot for 15 years. Starting as a Golden Tulip hotel and then Prince Hotel it now is owned by the Fletcher Hotel chain. Unfortunately, Fletcher has not put a dime into maintaining the building and property.
Lobby is the same and with the restaurant, the most desirable areas in the hotel. When you walk down the hall to the rooms, you will see the stained carpet that is over 15 years old.
While the rooms are small and the bathroom even smaller, you immediately see the same worn furniture and stained carpet with no changes in 15 years. Showers need attention and the entire room needs updating.
Cleaning crew did not clean the large amount of hair on the floor behind the bathroom door. One evening, a huge pile of dirty sheets/towels were left in the middle of the hallway all night.
Food in the restaurant is average and service is slow. For a nicer meal take the path down the road a short stroll to Floor Brassiare Restaurant. Nice food and service in a relaxing setting.
We did rent two e bikes and the bikes were in very good condition.
Sadly, I do not see us returning until the hotel is updated.

Spent the night in this hotel and had dinner as well. It’s situated right in the middle of Holland’s largest(?) forested area, the ‘Veluwe’. Very quiet around here although the nearby town of Epe does offer good F&B and shopping opportunities.
The hotel and restaurant are nice, but more of a three than four star level. Nothing much wrong with it, but just not a four star level. The rooms in particular are of a three star level. The swimming pool is wonderful though and the sauna more than adequate. I must admit, the staff were friendly and courteous at all times!
In summary:
- Great, quiet location
- 3 Star hotel and restaurant
- Pleasant service
- Recommended for a short break

The hotel is in a beautiful location, which is 1 plus! The price we paid for a so called comfort room, I dread to think how small a standard room would be. The room we had was barely big enough to swing a cat. Also what they do not mention anywhere before booking, only with a KPN account on your mobile can you make calls and be called! All other providers have no connection there! Yes you can use the hotel landline, but of course there are extra costs involved. But to compensate, all WiFi is strong and free, but not secured. Thus if you need to be reachable at all times and have an account other than KPN, think twice. The pool was nice. Breakfast was good. So conclusions, very small rooms for the price, go when there are good offers and if you want to be out of reach to all!

Some minor faults can easily be overlooked. But: at one 'o clock in the night the door was opened and another couple entered the room. That is a very disturbing experience!
My friend phoned to the reception and was told that the receptionist was only just on duty... After breakfast we filed a complaint. Nobody even once said: sorry (seems indeed the hardest word) After that we went to our room at 10.45 but the magnetic card was already out of order, before we had checked out. Not that good is our conclusion.

The Tulip Inn Epe is located in a lovely wooded setting on the outskirts of Epe. If you are driving to the hotel and not familiar with the area it is difficult to locate the property due to the lack of signage. Best to stop and locate the street on the city map located by each entrance to the city or ask for directions. The hotel has free parking in the lot located in front of the hotel.
The lobby is comfortable but I was surprised by the amount of smoking in the lobby compared to U.S. hotels. Restaurant is located off the lobby and while we did not eat there, it looks very nice and people stated the food was very good. Our room was small with two twin beds pushed together. The room was very clean with basic amenities (coffee/tea, TV with cable and average lighting. The bathroom was very small with a no door/curtain shower that often made the floor in the bathroom totally wet. Towels were of poor quality reminding me of locker room towels. The hotel is very quiet due to the remote location with the only sound being the water noise from adjoining rooms. There is a bowling alley and pool in the lower level as well as ample bikes to rent to see the area. If you do not have a car, this location is difficult as you are a few kilometers outside of Epe. The town of Epe has numerous restaurants, grocery stores and shops to enjoy. The location, near Apeldoorn, is great for visiting the Palace as well as the museums in the area. Overall, a nice hotel which I would recommend to anyone needing accommodations in the Apeldoorn area.

This hotel has one big plus: Location
Located in the middle of the forests it is a unique location for biking or walking.
Unfortunately the rooms are outdated and need some refurbishing.
A good paint job and some repair would do the hotel no harm!
