Rooms dated and musty smell. The hallway and the elevator too. No air conditioning, electric kettle and wifi coverage in the rooms, something you expect from a 4 star hotel. I would say 2 stars is closer to the truth. Even the fridge was not cool. Expected more from this hotel . Beds were uncomfortable, mattress too soft. However, friendly... More

I stayed at this hotel on business. Physically it's a bit dated - I found the room very hot, but very large at least. Dinner was good - I think we got special treatment because I was with a group from a local company.

This hotel is overpriced and dated. Felt like a hospital... Really poor breakfast. Parking near by is good. On the other side, why visit this boring village anyway? We didn't get it. We hit the road after one night.

Reservations a must for this location; Staff & Service outstanding. While not a new and modern facility, it is very well maintained. Rooms are large and have modern updates, for a European Hotel. Request parking when making your reservation as parking is limited but it's in a secure area. Public parking is nearby, not free. Free Wi-Fi in rooms. A 1st... More

To visit Valkenburg, we booked this hotel for the weekend. The hotel is situated just near the centre of the city. Parking is difficult in Valkenburg, but in the weekend the hotel has an option on parking places nearby (not for free). You can drive and go as you like. We preferred walking to all the interesting place, everything is... More

We arrived in Valkenburg having booked a room at another hotel, only to find that they had overbooked and had moved us to a hotel down the road - Hotel Voncken. The hotel was lovely with a beautifully decorated foyer, bar and dining room. The room, on the third floor (but accessible by lift), was clean and spacious with wardrobes,... More

My girlfriend and I spent two nights at this hotel over the Hemelvaart weekend. The hotel is easy to find: don't be discouraged, the town gets interesting just behind this square; the walk from the station can be a tad discouraging. The hotel was a basic older, family-run hotel: friendly staff and slightly outdated everything. The room was clean and... More

My husband and myself were also on the Ohio Northern Soccer trip. This hotel was so nice - great rooms, great staff, so nice to come to and feel at home. Love the outside café and the fact that we could finish our evenings out there with our wine/beer and playing uker. Just love this place and would hope that... More

This was our first trip to Europe, and it could not have been more enjoyable. We were in Holland with the Ohio Northern University men's soccer team. 41 of us checked in August 2nd, and the staff at the hotel did not miss a beat. Breakfasts were very good. I don't believe we ate a lunch in the hotel, too... More

Yes this hotel is dated, thank god - that's what gives it its charm and makes it stand out from the herd! Love, love, love the dated charm of this place. It doesn't take much imagination to wonder just how grand the balls and parties here must have been. Pack your diamond tiara! Besides that, wonderful-sized and very comfortable rooms,... More
