There were quite a few things wrong with this hotel, but I like to start with the things I liked: The rooms were very clean and freshly redecorated. So fresh even, that some of the furniture still had it's price-tags on it. Hilarious. The view from the top floor is stunning. Especially at night with all the lights. There is... More

This hotel is situated right in the center of town. 10-15 min walk from the station. Very clean rooms, just too bad that the shower and the sink are very narrow. Housekeeping work ok, just 2 days my soap/shampoo hasnt been refilled by the staff. Reception staff is very friendly and helpfull. Just too bad they dont have an elevator

This Hotel/pension is accurately described in the brochure. It is not a fancy place by far, but very clean and well located. We visited the American Cemetery in Valkenburg. It was a treat to also discover the quaint town of Valkenburg. Our only disappointment was that the pancake house downstairs does not open until 11am and we had to leave... More

The hotel is located in the heart of Valkenburg and its nearby everything you want to see! The food is great, especially the spareribs! But the breakfast is somehow not enough. Rooms are small but are good enough for few days of staying. Overall is really great! Will come back here!

Lovely place to stay. Food was excellent! Ribs to die for. Try the pasta as the side instead of fries, absolutely lovely! This is right in the middle of the town. Perfect for everywhere. We went Monday to Wednesday, markets were lovely, apparently at weekends they are rammed, and as in a cave maybe a bit closed in. Back to... More

We just spent one night at the Valkenhof (18 hours in Valkenburg) and found the Hotel Valkenhof to be an excellent value and located in the section of Valkenburg loaded with an abundance of restaurants, cafés, bars, and shops. The hotel is located on a pedestrian only street which adds tremendously to the positive character of the area. However, for... More

Just got back from a three night break in Valkenburg where we stayed at the Hotel Valkenhof. We booked a double "comfort" room with breakfast included. The room overlooked the main street. The room turned out to be a twin with the beds pushed together. I would call it "compact", and definitely not "comfort". The room was clean, basic, with no... More

Just back from a four day stay at the Hotel Valkenburg and loved every minute of it. We had booked a standard room and the owner advised us when we arrived that we had a free upgrade, which was much appreciated. The room was a lovely spacious one on the second floor facing onto the castle ruins, couldn't fault it... More

The owners and staff at this small, local hotel could not have been more helpful!! Our room was large and had everything you would need, clean and comfortable. We had a room that looked at the castle ruins so that was special. The food at the restaurant was very good as well. They even let my husband keep his bicycle... More

Spent three nights in this cozy hotel with friendly atmosphere. Very romantic place with the fireplace and candles. Breakfasts were rich and fresh. To park your car, there is a nearby hotel which offers car-park service to hotel guests for fee (ask receptionist).

“If you do not want to be disturbed either late at night, or in the morning then request a rear facing room. Make sure you take some soap with you, and a travel kettle if you need a drink in the morning. Make sure you visit Maastrict which will cost approx 15 euros/couple for a day return train ticket.”
