Staff are friendly and rooms are good, with a comfortable bed and street noise didn't carry into the room. The breakfast is a cold buffet so limited in choice but the food was tasty enough. The main town is a short 10-15 min walk and there are plenty of restaurants to choose from. The hotels main challenge is location, which if it wasn't advertised as an airport hotel might be less of a problem. Although it is only one stop on the train from Schiphol, and a short walk, with building works in the area and vans parking on footpaths, the journey with a suitcase isn't as smooth as ideal. I wouldn't recommend anyone try to walk from the train pulling more than one suitcase. If you are walking, leave the train platform on the end closest to the hotel, so when you get off the train walk back the way the train came from. If you do leave on the other end, don't cross the main road until you have walked the length of the platform as the path runs out on the other side.

I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel and booked it due to its proximity to the airport and train station plus I am very loyal to IHG so travel most often across their brands of hotels. I was a little worried about the comments regarding the building happening but this did not negatively impact my stay at all. The hotel itself is located on a business park and soon to be residential area and has excellent access to nice little canal & forest pathways just a few minutes walk from the hotel. It is also well located to the small town of Hoofddorp, which is an easy 10-15 minute walk. Here, there are many facilities, restaurants and shops here to explore and enjoy.
You should note this is a Holiday Inn Express, meaning it is not a full service hotel so whilst the continental breakfast is fully sufficient and very good, they do not have wide options for any other meals so being close to the town was great.
I was very warmly welcomed by the reception team when I arrived and the room was clean and comfortable. I was quite warm and the reception team were very helpful in providing a small fan. They also gave me a map that f restaurants for dining options.
Some previous comments mention that taxi’s struggled to find this hotel due to the work but this is not the case by my experience, I used both Uber and Bolt regularly to and from the hotel during my stay and not once was there any issue.
Breakfast was the expected HI Express brand standard continental offering along with some traditional Dutch items, it was enjoyable and perfect to start my day.
The only slight drawback was the water to my shower was not very hot which was odd as the sink hot water was very hot.
All in all, I had a great stay, staff were friendly and the location was perfect for my needs! I really enjoyed walking to Hoofddorp and was lucky enough to experience Kings Day in the town before flying home. I would stay again.

We enjoyed a 4 night very reasonably priced stay here in May 2024, whilst visiting sights in Amsterdam and the tulips at Keukenhof.
We were very pleased with the hotel, the staff on the front desk were friendly, welcoming and efficient, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable and the continental breakfast was varied and plentiful.
The breakfast included a variety of cereals, cold meats, cheese, boiled eggs, bread, rolls, jams, pastries, croissants, fruit, tea and coffee etc.
The hotel is currently adjacent to a building site but we were not disturbed by any noise as they only work during the day and the rooms have double glazing.
The hotel is an easy 10 minute walk from Hoofddorp station from where the trains take 5 mins to/from Schiphol Airport and 20 mins to/from Amsterdam Centraal station.
Very comfortable and good value stay at the Holiday Inn Express Amsterdam - Schiphol which we are happy to recommend.

What a wonderful week we had thanks to each of the people we had contact with during our stay. To start in the reception area Ivan helped us with our registration, he is a star! He was very helpful, friendly and genuine, he has a wonderful service attitude. When we arrived at the room, Dario from reception left us a card along with a couple of amenities since we were celebrating a special occasion and we loved the detail, he made us feel welcome and pampered, THANK YOU SO MUCH! During the following days we also met María and Manuela at reception, a lovely person! both very attentive, smiling and super helpful, thank you for all your attention during the stay! Our room was impeccable every day thanks to Botan as the housekeeper, she paid attention to the smallest detail, the cleanliness of the room was second to none. And finally we want to thank Tony from the breakfast area, a worker full of energy! Always attentive to having all the stations stocked so that nothing was missing and cleaning the tables immediately so that there was never a lack of space to sit down for breakfast. I know there are many names missing but we are truly super grateful to everyone! Thank you all for an unforgettable stay!

We stayed one night for the tulip festival. The hotel is 10 minutes from Hoofddorp train station. You can rent a bike for 18 euros per day which is very practical. There is nothing around the hotel as it is a hotel and office area. To get to the center of Hoofddorp, it takes 20 minutes on foot. It takes 25 minutes to get to the center of Amsterdam by train. The room was comfortable but the carpet was damaged (bleach and burn stains). The TV is a bit small for the size of the room. The breakfast is just OK (no scrambled eggs or bacon) and it was poorly stocked. It's not the best stay in a Holiday Inn Express but for the price paid it remains consistent (90 euros per night)

If you can ignore the building site surrounding the hotel it is a good IHG budget hotel with a free Dutch-style breakfast. A short walk from the railway station - not great fun in the rain- there is nothing apart from building work and office blocks in the immediate vicinity. hoffdoorp centre is about a 10 minute walk away and the hotel has a map showing the location of places to eat.
Rooms are standard IHG and staff rectified issues with lights not working. Bed is comfortable and I had 3 night of good sleep.
The regional travel pass covers NS trains to Hoofddorp and is good value if staying for a couple of night to see the sights of Amsterdam or even the bulb fields where the bus can take you there from the station.

We arrived at 10pm. We booked the hotel last minute on booking.com due to missing our connecting flight in Amsterdam, the hotel was perfect, staff were very friendly and helpful and very reasonable cost for the night. Easy to locate hotel took the 300 bus from airport and got off around the 4th stop and then had a 15 minute walk which we used google maps. very relaxing clean hotel, beds were very comfy. Breakfast was included which was lovely to wake up to. The black out curtains and sound proof windows were an added bonus to our stay. Due to lateness of arriving We ordered food from Uber eats directly to the hotel which was very easy. The bar was open until 1am and reasonable priced Would definitely recommend staying here .

I experienced a fantastic welcome here at the Holiday Inn. Greeted with a warm welcome by check-in staff. Located in the business hub of Amsterdam, surrounded by other infamous hotel chains. At check-in, we had the option to be 'eco conscious' by swapping our fresh towel change with two free drink vouchers. Was absolutely a no-brainer & we enjoyed a free beer instead of clean towels! We stayed two nights. Great incentive - should roll out this incentive in the UK.
Hotel is clean & modern with ample free parking. The hotel is a 10 minute stroll to the station and a 20 minute train journey takes you to Amsterdam Centraal station costing about £10 pp return. A worthwhile cheaper option when visiting Amsterdam should you not be bothered by a train ride. The continental breakfast was more than adequate to set you up for a long day, whether it's exploring Amsterdam or business. It is continental; breads, eggs, cold meats, yoghurt, fruit, cereals, pastries, jams, fruit juices & hot beverages. You won't get a traditional English fry up here.
A lovely surprise, we also won 'guests of the day' & received two free drinks vouchers. This really made our stay feel special.
I'd highly recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel, reasonably priced and about 10 minutes walk to the train station. The breakfast is "continental". But still contains yogurt, fruit and different types of bread. Fresh bathroom and well cleaned. as an allergy sufferer, it's a bit strange how often there are carpets in the hotels in Amsterdam.
