I stayed for 2 nights at this hotel and booked it due to its proximity to the airport and train station plus I am very loyal to IHG so travel most often across their brands of hotels. I was a little worried about the comments regarding the building happening but this did not negatively impact my stay at all. The hotel itself is located on a business park and soon to be residential area and has excellent access to nice little canal & forest pathways just a few minutes walk from the hotel. It is also well located to the small town of Hoofddorp, which is an easy 10-15 minute walk. Here, there are many facilities, restaurants and shops here to explore and enjoy.

You should note this is a Holiday Inn Express, meaning it is not a full service hotel so whilst the continental breakfast is fully sufficient and very good, they do not have wide options for any other meals so being close to the town was great.

I was very warmly welcomed by the reception team when I arrived and the room was clean and comfortable. I was quite warm and the reception team were very helpful in providing a small fan. They also gave me a map that f restaurants for dining options.

Some previous comments mention that taxi’s struggled to find this hotel due to the work but this is not the case by my experience, I used both Uber and Bolt regularly to and from the hotel during my stay and not once was there any issue.

Breakfast was the expected HI Express brand standard continental offering along with some traditional Dutch items, it was enjoyable and perfect to start my day.

The only slight drawback was the water to my shower was not very hot which was odd as the sink hot water was very hot.

All in all, I had a great stay, staff were friendly and the location was perfect for my needs! I really enjoyed walking to Hoofddorp and was lucky enough to experience Kings Day in the town before flying home. I would stay again.

As the title says, yet the IHG app still advertises the shuttle, which has not been running since March (blame c-19). Only discovered that on arrival at the airport. All the other off-site airport hotel shuttles were still available, as far as I could tell.

Fortunately, the hotel provided outstanding service. The gentleman at the front desk immediately offered a cash refund for the cost of the cab ride from the airport, and organized a cab back at the hotel's expense for the next morning.

Hotel and room exactly what one can expect from a HI Express. All amenities working, room spic and span.

Given the pandemic, the hotel restaurant is currently open for breakfast only. On the other hand, room rates are now so low that the property falls in the budget category.

If you can ignore the building site surrounding the hotel it is a good IHG budget hotel with a free Dutch-style breakfast. A short walk from the railway station - not great fun in the rain- there is nothing apart from building work and office blocks in the immediate vicinity. hoffdoorp centre is about a 10 minute walk away and the hotel has a map showing the location of places to eat.

Rooms are standard IHG and staff rectified issues with lights not working. Bed is comfortable and I had 3 night of good sleep.

The regional travel pass covers NS trains to Hoofddorp and is good value if staying for a couple of night to see the sights of Amsterdam or even the bulb fields where the bus can take you there from the station.

Firstly, I would like to mention, that I really unsatisfied with the service, provided with your hotel chain. I’ve never faced such inappropriate attitude in other chains such as Marriott Int., Hilton or Accor.

When I made a reservation and payed fo my stay, I was informed that the reservation is flexible and I can change the dates of the staying. There was no condition that I can inform the property about the changes only by email;
As I had to be in France in the dates of the planning stay, I informed that I wouldn’t stay in the booked dates by phone. The hotel employee told me, that the reservation will be reinstated when I will choose new date (till the end of the year);
Firstly you insisted that I‘ve already stayed in the booked dates without any proof and from the sight of the property, there was a person who even insisted that checked me in. After I required the registration form that is the contract between the guest and the property, you tell me, that I didn’t checked in. So, you intentionally gave false information (all information is in email conversation). That fact in my opinion is offense.

I kindly ask you to provide me with the staying of the payed accommodation in the property or I will go to the court.

I’m sure that your colleagues from other chains not only give their guest with the payed service, but also some extra compliment service for the provide inconvenience and inappropriate attitude.

Hotel is fine, but there is no shuttle as advertised on their website. Apparently that's been the case for over 6 months and they still haven't fixed the website or include this in their welcome message.

It's also in the middle of nowhere and surrounded my a massive construction site which makes it hard for drivers to find or even to get out on foot to the main road.
It's about a 15 minute walk to the train station or 15 minute walk into town for any type of infrastructure.

Given the extra cost of Uber & Taxi, I would have stayed directly in the airport.

Come on: an airport hotel with no good way to get to/from the airport is not an airport hotel. Don't lie t your customers on your website.

Excellent staff, breakfast and nice and clean rooms. Location is good near the center of hoofdddorp. Reception is open 24 hours and the breakfast is includes in the price. It is serving a continental breakfast

My husband and I had an early check in today, the reception staff Ibrahim and Maria were helpful and kind. Our membership level was recognized correctly, the check in process went very smoothly everything was prepared even before our early arrive. the room was clean and warm too. Everything was perfect.

My spouse and I chose this holiday inn before our flight at Schipol Airport. We usually stay at IHG hotels, as we are Platinum Elite members and IHG staff members are always friendly/welcoming.

Getting to the hotel is probably the worst part. There is 0 shuttle service to and from the airport, which makes it hard to justify staying at this property. Fortunately you can use either a cab, Uber or Bolt (recommend Bolt or Uber for 50% the price). If you're arriving by train, it's about a 10/15 minute walk to the hotel, which isn't great if you have alot of luggage, kids, or you're exhausted from travel.

The hotel feels new and has a very open layout upon entering. There is currently construction, so finding the entrance is relatively easy, as it's located right of the fenced off area.

The staff were fantastic to interact with. Friendly, welcoming, and quite talkative as well. They were able to satisfy our needs for our stay.

The rooms are a different story. You have 2 singles or a small double room for your stay. This poses an issue if you're a large/tall man. I'm 195cm (6'5) and was a rough sleep with my spouse. The hotel was booked fully as well, so the sleep was not great. The A/C isn't great either with 2 people sleeping, so it got pretty hot as well.

Overall, our stay wasn't the greatest, but it sufficed for our short stay.

Despite the name, it´s not that close to the airport, and they don´t have shuttles. There are no restaurants in the neighborhood, but there´s a train station 15 minutes away.

There´s a big construction next to the hotel, so cars have a hard time reaching the drop off and returning in reverse.

There´s a big lobby with a small bar and large tables, suitable for working.
The rooms are small, same as the bathroom, hanging space (can´t call it a closet) TV and bed. There are no king size beds and the "doubles" are so reduced, we ask for a change to twin beds. According to a sign, mattresses are soft on one side and firm on the other, but we found them plain soft.

Anyway, the staff was very kind to change our room and store our luggage for several hours.

The staff is excellent and friendly, especially the guy, named Ibra was very helpful.
The room size is quite normal, but the issue is that windows can not be opened to get some fresh air.
Breakfast menu can be expanded and the carpet in the room should be cleaned.

Unfortunately no. But train and bus are close by and by taxi it’s only an 8 min drive as well.

Just one stop before HI Exp. every 20 min during day, but 40 min early/late day, sometimes 1 hr. Time table outside airport at hotel shuttle "platform", easy to find. 15-20 min to get to HI exp.
