Vesper, the first boutique hotel on the Dutch shore opened her doors 1st of July 2014. Impeccable service, craftsmanship and a feeling of peace and calm take center stage here. Vesper promises that beauty is in the details, because leisure is much more than relaxation, leisure is an art. An inspired mix of classic hotel elegance with distinctly contemporary energy and glamour, the hotel overlooks the ever-changing North Sea and is situated in the most beautiful and exclusive surroundings of Noordwijk. Owners and brothers Michiel and Martijn van den Berg have enlisted the help of architect Bart Akkerhuis of the Paris based Studio Akkerhuis, in collaboration with Miriam Irle and Philipp Molter, to transform the exterior and interior of what was the former Hotel Clarenwijck, originally built in 1904. The breathtaking lobby, whose entire length looks out over the ocean, features a long cocktail bar. The brass and steel cabinet behind the bar, also designed by studio akkerhuis, is running from the basement to the roof, where a 1920's stained glass rooflight provides natural daylight to the lobby. Through the glass staircase or elevator you will reach your room. Vesper offers 35 spacious rooms and suites, all uniquely designed to give individual comfort. They feature vintage design furniture, handmade mattresses, luxurious bathrooms, some of which have a sauna or a complete spa. The handmade beds & pillows are from the Dutch manufacturer Softline, specially designed for Vesper. For the expert, the linen is a '300 thread count'. Most rooms have sea view and balcony. Will you choose the Classic Room, with a king size bed? Or will you go for the 70 square meter Grand Vesper Suite, equipped with a 47 square meter terrace, private sauna and a steam- and rain shower in front of the window? If you feel like visiting the surroundings, Azzuro Wellness Centre is 1.1 Km away. Here, guests can make free use of the indoor pool, the Turkish steam room, whirlpools and fitness. A tennis and squash court are also available. Vesper is located along the 13 kilometre breathtaking shore of Noordwijk. Therefore, everyone can enjoy the sunrise and sunset during a romantic stroll, jog or in Vespers' exclusive beach club with friends. Guests can enjoy a delightful afternoon on a comfortable sun bed at Beach Club Bries, just a 50 metre walk from the hotel. The Vesper Bar is an experience. The seasoned bartenders serve some of the best cocktails around, and the view is a sight to behold. In the bar menu you'll find a wide range of cocktails, wine by the glass, and a wide selection of exquisite dishes and sea food platters. 'Vespera' in Classic Latin indicates the hour that the sun sets, the sky turns violet and the stars show themselves. At Vesper you experience this moment in a special way, from your own balcony which looks out over sea, with your feet in the sand or from the lobby with a cocktail in your hand. Discover the art of leisure, welcome to Vesper.

Restaurant / bar have a nice homely feel , the service is attentive and knows a lot about the dishes and wines. You feel welcome and the service enjoys what they do and you notice it in everything.
The food (Shared dining concept) is delicious and not standard. The room is not extremely luxurious for the price , but the beds are lovely , sea view with balcony is definitely recommended.
Breakfast buffet is not excessive , but everything is fresh , you can also choose from the small a la carte menu. Parking is also arranged if you book directly with the hotel and bring a bottle of water with you when you check out.
This hotel / restaurant is definitely recommended.

Perfect location, lovely staff, delicious food, cool vibe, all excellent. Recent makeover means the hotel feels fresh and light, bathrooms all top of the range, great views from most balconies. Kids loved the breakfasts, adults loved the suppers and cocktails.

Small fine hotel, design-savvy individual and carefully designed. In the quiet part of Noordwijk with direct lake views. Very friendly staff. Very good breakfast, great quality tapas concept in the evening. Since the suite we booked was not barrier-free, we were offered an adequately nice alternative room without any circumstances.

Nice renovated hotel and lovely staff. Be careful, they advertise (and charge) sea view for the deluxe rooms, but it is a side sea view only!!!! No room change was possible, so we will not return. Food is fine and location is close to the beach.

Very pleasant welcome with a welcome drink of your choice. We had a delicious meal from the menu, after which we were taken to the room. Our suitcases were already neatly arranged here. Good beds, wonderful sanitary facilities (nice shower!) and very complete personal care items.
Unfortunately we had stormy weather and since our room was on the sea side, we had the wind blowing into our apartment. I slept wonderfully on it, but my wife had difficulty falling asleep due to the whistling of the wind. In stormy weather, a room at the back is recommended. The view is great, the location right on the beach is great.
The breakfast buffet was very extensive and you could also order from the menu, which was included. We enjoyed that.
Finally, the staff: very neat, customer-oriented, attentive and friendly. Compliments, we felt completely at home immediately and during our stay.

I stayed 2 days and nights for business. The welcome was friendly and very helpful, and the staff are a credit to the hotel. They where always happy to help and very friendly.
Location is great for the beach and nature walks, and the hotel has a nice view from the restaurant/bar looking out over the beach and sea. The hotel was quiet at night as the road in front of the hotel is a dead end so there is little to no passing traffic.
Food at the hotel was very good, from a continental breakfast and a modern Asian fusion menu at the restaurant at night.
The room was comfortable, without being large, but well organized and clean.
On reflection I had a nice stay at a very comfortable and relaxing hotel with good staff and location for the beach.

Excellent hotel, staff makes you feel welcome, special location - view of the sea and at the end of the dike, with the open dune landscape nearby - and decorated with taste. The feeling of a boutique hotel with the professionalism of a quality hotel. And great breakfast. So highly recommended.

Super nice boutique hotel, right on the beach, nice relaxed atmosphere, nice service and it starts immediately with a relaxed entrance where you are offered a drink that is combined with check-in, in the meantime the suitcases are taken to the room. You can drink the drink on the terrace looking at the dunes and the sea. On the beach there is a beach bar called Bries from the same owner which has the same fiber and therefore a nice combination.

We are again staying at this beautiful hotel. This time we were there with my wife's 84-year-old mother, who was also very enthusiastic.
The hotel is very tastefully decorated. Each room is designed differently with great attention to detail. The staff at the hotel are super nice. Breakfast buffet with egg dishes and pancakes from the kitchen is very delicious. When it's warm, you can sit outside very nicely.
If possible we like to take a room with terrace.

This was my second time there and I stayed in a room on the new floor with a south-facing balcony.
The room was just right for one person, but too small for two people, I would say.
The bathroom was equipped with everything and was spacious and bright.
The balcony can be accessed from the actual room and the bathroom.
The bed was just right for me and I slept very well.
The breakfast left nothing to be desired and the service was courteous and friendly. Egg dishes are prepared on request!
I can't say anything about the other food, lunch and dinner, I didn't eat in the hotel otherwise.
What I would note: If you arrive on a Saturday or Sunday, you may have problems finding a parking space.
The boulevard is full from 10 a.m. when the weather is nice.
I will be back next year.

The suite I had was large enough for a roll away, but it would be located by the see through shower. I don't think it would be comfortable because of lack of privacy. Shower tub sinks and bed are in same room
I would not recommend to book this hotel for wheelchair user. The rooms are to small.
