I assume that some of the tripadvisor statements are fake. On top all marketing material is photoshopped - Our experience: Hotel lobby and restaurant ok - but rooms completely outdated. Ugly and dirty carpets; old 80s or 90s interior; bathroom 3 star. On top the service is totally unfriendly and inflexible. We strongly recommend to choose a different hotel. Totally overpriced.

We really loved our night at this hotel, which is every bit as luxurious and comfortable as you expect. Staff are great, beds super comfy, lovely Art Deco style rooms, superb spa area. Only reason not giving a five is that the pool was full of children from outside and really left no space (or ambience) for guests (especially in current covid situation). But I get why hotels need extra income in this day and age and it certianly won't stop us coming back!

We stayed 2 nights from the 16th till the 18th of October, 5 people in total with kids. Arrogant staff without understanding what is client service and wish to help. Never say sorry. Swimming Pool: 18th Oct - for question where is a beauty salon, i was informed that the door is locked, they start at 9 am. I explained that I have an appointment at 9 am and have to be 15 min in advance... She continued without indifferently: the door is closed... Only when I repeated my question 3 times she showed the way. The Dutch Restaurant: We were offered 3 dishes menu. Before to place the order we requested if it is possible 2 desserts to 2 dishes from 4 dishes menu. We have been promised and we placed the order. In the moment of serving of 3rd dish we were offered cheese plate or dessert. We noted that we agreed to replace dessert, without any sorry we were added 2 slices of salmon on the cheese plate. Besides we were so disappointed and forget about 10% discount we had as we stayed at the hotel... The waiter charged us without this discount.... Beaty Salon: The treatment was ordered with strictly female therapist... but I was offered male therapist had to be replaced by female. Yes, it was very quickly, meanwhile the room for treatment was next to staff room, so during laugh and chat of staff were accompanied by music in the room. During check out I made my comments to the lady at the reception and was offered free parking. Upon arrival I fount that we had been charged twice. I called to the hotel, Sessile (a lady who picked up the phone) informed that she was not going to say sorry, first she need to figure out ... I explained that I sent my email several minutes ago, and was taken aback with request: "what do you want if you sent an email" several minutes ago. Several minutes she was writing my phone number and after informed that normal phones has 9 numbers, my phone number is not dutch...I explained that the phone doesn't dutch... so, you are calling me from abroad... we spent again some time to identify that this is not dutch number.... but she has to use international code to call me... She was not aware what is interactional code... All staff have to be explained that the salary to them is paying from money paid by clients... But staff believe that they are guests and clients are so stupid asking them questions ...

We booked 2 nights + 3 days Wellness treatments. The first day was catastrofic and we decided to leave early. What went wrong?: 1) Signing to rooms non-existing; 2) Signing to Wellness invisible; 3) Pool entry chaotic, I got Preston Palace deja vu; 4) Staff at pool entry very non-friendly; 5) ‘Oriental’ restaurant for lunch only 3 ‘easy’ oriental dishes, dinner was OK. 6) Paying for lunch chaotic, 10% discount card did not work needed to go twice by ourself to reception to fix, 2nd time big cue.... 7) Bubblepool and sauna in wellness area open to all public, need to be naked to use, got company of old dirty men who wanted to ‘socialize’ brrrrrr 8) Watercooker in room did not work; 9) The carpet in the room feels sticky on yr bare feet. The Wellness treatment was very good. Bottom line too many smaller details not in line with our expectations for a 5star facility.

I‘m going to write this review in English, so everybody can understand (we‘re originally from Germany). We booked Hotel van Oranje for 5 nights and regret it fully. Firstly the positive points: - great location, the view, the direct access to the beach is perfect - The swimming pool is huge and great for kids - The spa treatments are good Negative: Where to start?! We stayed in their best room, an executive terrace suite on the second floor. - Firstly, the room is really not worth almost € 1.000 per night. The only highlight is maybe the bathroom. The ‚living‘ area with a random old coach and the bed without nightstands is not really 5-star worthy. - The staff: very young staff who seem to be more interested in each other’s stories than giving their guests attention. We didn‘t feel welcome at all, nobody cared to greet us while entering the hotel or wishing us a nice day while living. Which is the least one can expect from a so called 5 star hotel. - The staff at the pool: on a whole other level of RUDE! Poor guys and girls were so unmotivated and just not kind at all. - Cleanness of the room: our beds were made only 2 times during our stay. Dust was still collecting on the furniture and the shower wasn’t cleaned properly either. One day they completely forgot to clean up our room, although I asked them specifically. I called the receptionist when we came back from the beach in the evening, the lady on the phone didn’t even bother to apologize. I asked for at least some clean towels because we were out of them, she said she would send them up right away. But unfortunately, no clean towels arrived.. But the worst part was our terrace, not ONE time was it cleaned or looked after. Seagull‘s poop were on the cushions, cigarettes which were thrown down from balconies above us just laid there until I threw them away myself. The chairs outside were so worn out I was afraid they would collapse. The tiles were loose .. etc etc. Overall, this hotel is not worthy of its 5 stars. Not even 4. Wouldn’t recommend and won’t be coming back. If you really want a 5 star hotel treatment: go to Huis ter Duin in Noordwijk, at least they know how to threat their guests and clean up rooms.

We had another great stay at Hotel van Oranje. As we are regular customers we did have the impression that there have even been some improvements since our last stay. The sea view rooms are a must. Even now that the hotel is not a part of Marriott anymore we were treated like royal guests. For the first time we had dinner every night at the hotel or the Beachclub O. What needs to be said is that the service at Beachclub O cannot keep up with the extraordinary and personal service the two young gentlemen gave us at Oriento restaurant - this was really over the top. Food and drink selection is excellent in both places and of course the Beachclub O is a great location. We do hope we will be kept up to date about the planned major renovations of the hotel as we assume the hotel will not be available for some time. Once again thank you very much to all the wonderful staff.

Good service and you feel like an important customer as a platinum member as always. The rooms are spacious and authentic with sea theme. Also the facilities with the big swimming pool, spa, good restaurants and great location in front of the beach makes it perfect! Always a pleasure to come back. With family and for business!

This hotel is a real treat. Stayed here for a business trip in the fall, slightly off-season. The service was excellent the rooms were clean and bright. The location is near the beach and they have a great beach cocktail bar. Easy to run along the beach or stroll along the many shops and restaurants in the area.

Stayed at Hotel Van Oranje for 4 days for a conference which was being held at the hotel. Exquisite lobby and conference facilities. The beach is literally 2 steps away from the hotel. Very professional staff. And a very nice Sauna..
