The rooms are spacious and nicely newly decorated. We can not fault it in any way. Beds are comfortable and the towels nice and fluffy and the room is squeecky clean.
HOWEVER our stay was completely let down by the terribly rude service in the hotel restaurant.
It started with saying they were expecting a huge amount of guests still so it was hard to find us a table. We were given a not so nice spot. While waiting for our drinks to come we noticed how empty the restaurant was and when the drinks finally came after almost 10 mins(!!) we asked kindly if we could move to the now empty table behind us.
This was made into a big deal, the girl could not handle it, she sent her manager, who wanted to argue about the need to move table
All this took lots of time, time in which a new table cloth could have easily have been put onto the table.
So for the restaurant staff it is NOT their priority to give their paying guests a nice time.

The food when it finally came, at the table we didn't want.. Was of excellent quality and generous portion.
To top the wonderful experience off we saw 2 mice run around the floor in the dining room.
When we expressed our shock at this it got dismissed as of no importance. The young girl kept saying that they were dealing with it. But no one was doing anything right there and tben.
The very least you would expect of a such a highly rated restaurant is an apology and some compensation.
I will not choose to eat here again.
This is down to the rudeness of the staff.

We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights whilst on a Dutch Bike Tour holiday. It’s very well situated right by the beach and near good restaurants. Overall it’s a good hotel. Breakfast was amazing, so much choice and polite helpful staff. We found the dinner menu quite expensive, so decided to eat elsewhere. The rooms were adequate and clean, but the design of the bathroom isn’t good. The sink is in the same section as the shower, so after showering the floor is soaking wet! However, this didn’t detract from our enjoyment at staying at this hotel.

Promises more than it can deliver. Small rooms at a high rate. Quite noisy. Relax area not worth mentioning. Bar not occupied. Long waiting times at front desk. Parking expensive and far away. Only location and view to the sea are spectacular. Friendly service. Good breakfast.

When I booked my room unfortunately I selected the non refundable rate. My mistake. Trough circumstances outside my control I had to cancel and then asked the booking office and the hotel itself to cancel my reservation some 3 weeks prior to arrival. The booking office advised they could cancel at full price. They suggested to contact the hotel since it would be their final decision to cancel at full price or free of charge. They tried to connect me by phone to the hotel but there was no reply. Emails to the hotel remained unanswered. A day prior to the arrival date I managed to speak with the hotel reception, I was advised that I should have cancelled 48 hrs prior to arrival to cancel foc. I advised I did 3 weeks ago, then the receptionist said she would ask the person involved to call me back, this call never came. Since I was about to loose $300.00 for my 2 night stay I decided to go to the hotel and test once again their flexibility, but no I had to pay full price for the 2 nights I had booked. I decided to stay one night and forfeit the 2 nd at my expense. I advised the manager in charge that I found her action highly inflexible and that I would provide negative rating.
While I know that I made the booking mistake, I will never forget their attitude, so I would not select Golden Tulip hotels in the future.

The hotel bar closed early, around 22:30 which is annoying when you arrive late and you would like to have a nibble at least. For a hotel that is a business hotel to me is poor.

The expensive (22 Euro) breakfast was terrible. Bread had been out since the night before? It was dry. The full English had cold fried eggs (cold, not lukewarm, cold), no baked beans, dry bacon no mushrooms, no sausage.

What happened last night is totally unacceptable. I rang the first time the night porter around midnight because of the noises and the high volume TV of the room closest to mine (221). The night porter came, they stopped for an hour but then they started again with noises. I was furious. I had to get dressed, went down to complain. The night porter even proposed me to change room. Could you imagine moving to another room ar 1:00 AM with all my stuff and the check out for the morning after? Then he went again to this nice couple doing noises, which argued with him for 5 minutes saying they were only speaking. After the night porter went away the couple had fun of me knocking at the wall and guess what they did after … Long story short, completely awake till 03:00 AM. Is this a 4 stars hotel? Please … Trust me, you’ll never see me again.

We were a group of twelve plus two dogs in a private room for dinner. The service was wonderful and the staff were all very accommodating, kind, and friendly. We had a four course meal with drinks. It was quite standard Dutch food but good quality, especially for meat eaters. I'd definitely go back.

We stayed a night here in this absolutely fantastic hotel. Sure, we had a superior room , which is expensive, but also worth it. We were sad, that the hotel was booked out and we had to look for another accomodation the next day.
We definitely will book these hotel again in advance before arriving in Noorwijk the next time. Much thanks to the lovely staff!! Great staff, great location!!

I suppose that visiting any coastal hotel is not the best idea. I am sure that this hotel is hustling and bustling during the summer months but my visit did not, perhaps, show it at its best. The staff are, in the main, young and enthusiastic. The management are less so.

Check in was smooth and easy. The room possibly passes for seaside elegant in some parts but I found it unimaginative. Too much like cheap Ikea.

The A la Carte menu is the least attractive that I have found for years. Maybe it is the time of the year, but I doubt that this would attract many towns folk and, had it not been raining and blowing a gale, I would certainly had gone elsewhere. The service was slow and I only managed two courses, no-one offered a dessert.

Yes, my view was coloured by the time of year, yes it may be different in the summer. I doubt that I will be finding out.

Used to be called 'Hotel Noordzee' (North Sea), some signs were still with old name when I stayed. Built in the Ol' days, and that shows off: interesting mid 20th century style with verandas and terraces.
Room on back side was also oldfashioned - really a bit small, bad view and simple furniture. Front side room (direct sea view) promised more, but clearly at a higher price.
Restaurant a bit noisy (street side, also used for outsiders) but good quality food. Pool (inside) really disappointing: small and not well maintained, and most afternoons in use for commercial swimming lessons so not really available to us hotel guests!

Only reason to recommend it would be location (nice on sea boulevard) and maybe restaurant, for the rest it's really not more than 1 or 2 star and only advised if you can get a rockbottom discount price.

If you are lucky you can park in front of the hotel. When it is very busy there is plenty of parlking within walking distance.
