The Akwador Guest House is in Marsascala, where the Maltesers spend their weekends. It is not in the Touristy part of the island, but whoever likes can get there easily by bus. Marsascala offers rocky beaches and great food. Neil and Larissa have helped us finding places to see, things to do and how to get there by bus. Theis... More

GOOD: Very quiet resort but easy walk to beaches, good bus links to Valleta, Paola & airport. Excellent location on harbour, several different types of restaurant available. Roof top terrace from breakfast area offered excellent views. Communal fridge available to store your foods was nice idea. Very pleasant hosts. POOR: Extortionate supplements as single person (only triple room left-no balcony).... More

Thank you for providing a balanced review - if you don't mind I will concentrate on answering your negatives. You booked late and were lucky we had a room - it is peak season. You knew you had a Triple bed 'Family Room', not ideal but you accepted it. This room has no balcony as it normally has small children/babies... More

Rooms are clean and comfortable, have both air conditioning and fan. Cleaning was made every day. Breakfast was good and included basically egg or porridge, some fruits, milk, toasts, jams, ham, cheese, coffee etc. Very attractive in this place is its location - at first line to sea, 25 m to Marsaskala bay. Distance to closest place to swim is... More

Thanks for taking time to provide a review. The breakfast is only €3 but is rather comprehensive and cheap for the price. We challenge anyone to find a a full breakfast for that price in Malta! Glad you enjoyed your stay - hope to see you again! More

Thank you for taking time to write a review. I am glad you mention our 'Guest Fridge' - apparently many people have commented on it. Basically each room has a dedicated shelf and box so you can store your own stuff in the breakfast area. Ideal if you want to knock up a lunch , keep water or beer chilled... More

We stayed here for a week and were really impressed with Akwador. It's in a lovely location next to a harbour, with cafes and restaurants nearby. Our room had a beautiful sea view which we never got bored of looking at! The room was clean and comfortable, with air-con and fast wifi. There is a roof-top terrace where you can... More

Myself and my partner were made to feel welcome immediately and were provided with buckets of good advice and information. The room we were provided with was spacious and had its own balcony, though due to the stunning views offered form the main hotel balcony dictated we never spent any time on it. Service was friendly and nothing was too... More

Neil and Larisa were amazing hosts and they made you feel like a part of their home. Everything was spotlessly clean and the room was a generous size. The view from the public balcony is amazing and the kitchen facilities are well equipped to make tea/coffee and reheat things in the microwave. We were a little worried about getting from... More
