I stayed at ibis hotel and accidentally booked the wrong month. The hotel said that they would refund me my nights back. The refund took 7 days (I booked through Expedia) and then the the merchant claimed the money back. I would never, ever stay here again. Now I’m in Canada trying to get my money back.

Their website states that check in time is 12, we arrived at 11:30 and were arrogantly told our rooms would be ready after 3 so we had to get ready in the bathrooms to go out and leave our luggage in the storage room which they weren’t happy about but we had no choice. We felt unwelcome by the staff, one from our group speaks french and they refused to even try to understand him because they knew it was second language french even though he did his best to communicate. They were very inpatient + rude, and the woman would shake her head in disgust every time we asked a question. The rooms look absolutely nothing like the website shows, they’re outdated box rooms (with no mattresses, they’re more like sunbed covers). We didn’t pay much to stay there, but it isn’t worth any price. The location of the hotel is quite good but other than that, the whole thing is shambolic.

It's actually written 12:00 on our website, which is the case for our individual customers. But we sure let the groups know about the check in at 3 PM, so we can ensure all the rooms will be ready for everyone. However, I regret the treatment you recieved from our staff, which of course is not acceptable. Please accept our deepest apologizes. It doesn't reflect our service level we want to provide. The necessary measures will be taken, so that it won't happen again. As far as our rooms are concerned, I'm sorry that they didn't meet your expectations. They are standard rooms from Ibis in Paris, please note nevertheless that we will renovate them within a few months. The hotel is located very close to a tube station (10 - 15 min walk), therefore the access to the centre is quite quick. However, please make sure you check for travel updates. When we were there were strikes and the tube wasn't running; at all. So we walked to the center (1.5 h walk) as it would have been impossible to get on a crowded bus with a pushchair. Overall, if everything is running as normal, the location is ok. Another bonus was that it had parking available for guests and the price is quite reasonable, compared to others (I think it's around 19 euros per day); the parking is secure and right next the hotel. The room size isn't great, although compared to other hotels in a more central area it was quite decent. So if you need more space, be willing to spend a bit more and make sure you always ask for the dimensions of the room. Overall, the room was ok. For the price we paid I wouldn't have expected more. But the furniture is quite outdated, there was a bit of mould on one of the corners of the ceiling (as it was on the hallway and we only stayed 3 nights it didn't actually bother me) and the bathroom isn't the most modern one. But clean and decent. Also, do not request a cot bed. if you need one, bring your own. We have asked for one but brought ours just in case; and I am glad I did. The cot they have provided isn't safe for babies or toddlers. I would recommend the hotel if you only need a place to sleep. We were out all day so only spent a couple of hours in the room and it was ok. If you are expecting a modern and big room then this isn't for you.

Hotel was ok,a reasonable price,a short walk from both the Metro and RER lines albeit the walk to Chantilly station takes you through a run down district.The bar area is modern and the reception at the hotel was fine.Our room ,although clean was tired,the shelves were missing edge trims and walls were shabby.Montrouge itself has a number of café bars,which were considerably cheaper than eating or drinking in the hotel

Awful experience! The hotel is dirty, poor service and very overcrowded with bus tour guests. Breakfast at the restaurant was poorly organized - no water available and I had to wait 10 min for eggs to be put out on the table. The front desk staff had an attitude as if they did not want to be bothered. The worst part of the stay was when I returned to my room after sightseeing all day. I arrived late in the evening just wanting to take a shower and go to bed early. The hotel informed me that "there was a problem with my room" (the front desk refused to tell me what it was) and would have to move to a new room. When I went to my room there clearly was a sewage problem - the smell was Terrible. The next morning I spoke with the manager and asked for a discounted price on my room due to the condition and inconvenience. I was offered "points" for a future stay which I had not interest in at that point. I stay in Paris over weekends on occasion when in France on business - never will stay at this hotel again.

I would like to present our apologies to you once again since your stay failed to meet your expectations. There indeed was a plumbing problem that required an urgent intervention in the first room you occupied, which is why we had to ask you to change rooms. It is very inconvenient to change rooms during your stay after a day at work and I regret that our Front Office team did not offer you an immediate compensation for it. However, due to the plumbing problem that occured was unexpected, and required an urgent intervention that could not be done if the room was occupied by a guest, which is ahy we had no other option but to ask you to change rooms. Regarding the compensation that was given to you by me the next morning, it seems that I did not explain myself well, and for that i would like to apologize as well. Since your room was paid for by your company, refunding it partly would not have benefited you directly. Instead, I offered to credit some points on your membership card, which now allows you to get a discount in about any of the 4,800 hotels of the Accor group, anywhere in the world. It does not have to be in France, much less in Paris. We nonetheless hope that you will consider staying at Ibis Porte d'Orléans in the future, I can assure you that we will do our best for you to have a great stay.
