This hotel has very bad wifi, it only works close to the reception area from time to time. We stayed in a simple apartment that was very basic, nothing pretty here, the shower was designed so that it made the whole bathroom completely wet, we had a little kitchenette where the gas stove did not work. Pool was nice, but...

We did return to the Setar Palace and once again enjoyed it very much. Having been there in Septembers past, we expected it to be quiet but it was packed out in Sept. 2013. There seemed to be a sailing event with a huge number of young people who left the hotel early every morning and returned late evening. The...

Stayed here for a week during April 2013 on a cycling holiday. My first impressions of Setar were that it was (a) in the middle of nowhere and (b) slightly unatmospheric. However the hotel quitely grew on me as the week progressed, and here is why... The staff were amazing, each and every one - from the bar and restaurant,...

We have stayed at the Hotel Setar on three previous occassions and our proposed fourth trip speaks for itself...... which will be at the end of August/beginning of Sept 2012 when the Hotel is a usually quieter after the main Summer season. We found the breakfast excellent and if anything ran out it was replaced fairly quickly. The coffee was...

I'm French but, as usual when I write about a hotel abroad, I'll do it in English. Setar Palace is a quite old hotel (built in the 80s, I suppose) and I suppose it was high standard at the time. Yet, today, it's a little ageing...It's a large complex with a big swimming-pool, tennis courts and a big park. The...

We stayed there for one night and felt very comfortable. Breakfast was complete and we didn`t lack anything. The room was shady because of the browny, blue colours but clean and quiet. I would stay there for another day but no longer than 3 days.. Car is necessary.

I knew what to expect of the hotel before arriving as i had used it in the past.I also used the bar there regularly when I lived about a mile from the hotel for a few years. The hotel is ideal as a base to explore the South Coast and visiting Cagliari or Quartu although a car is essential. It...

This hotel is not a 4 star, the staff are extremely miserable and don't know how to smile, they make you feel like you are a nuisance just for ordering a drink or asking a question, there is nothing nearby and a taxi to the nearest town Cagliari is 30 euros each way. The facilities consist of a swimming pool...

Booked at last minute and wish that we hadn't. In a nutshell; had to have two rooms, despite booking a suite (I shared with my son, my wife shared with my daughter), rude staff, incredibly filthfy surroundings, no beach for miles, the place full of boisterous teenagers (not a problem in itself, but they often took over the pool at...

Visited August 07 - We had booked the Setar Palace some ten weeks in advance but on arrival were told that it had been overbooked. We were transferred to their sister hotel called "The Grand" (Torre) some 200 metres away. Although advertised as 4 star on the board outside it was very poor and a borderline UK 2 star standard....
