Borgo San Luigi Relais offers 73 rooms, most with private terrace or garden, allowing a pleasant stay in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, near Sienna. The five buildings making up the original seventeenth-century structure, in the midst of the 60.000 square metre park that surrounds the hotel, have been restructured respecting their original architecture. Due to its remarkable location, between Sienna and Florence, the hotel is a perfect starting point to visit a territory celebrated all over the world for its incomparable natural and artistic heritage, not to mention its food and wine.Borgo San Luigi Relais offers a choice of rooms, including Suites, Junior Suites, Deluxe and Classic Rooms, found in the different buildings within the park. The entire complex follows a rationale that encourages outdoor living, and most rooms therefore have a private balcony, terrace or garden. Guests may thus experience moments of total relaxation and peace in the open air, while enjoying total privacy.!!!!The architecture of the hotel rooms has been preserved in the original structures, with furnishings remindful of ancient country houses of the nobility. Every detail has been carefully considered, period furnishings and textiles have been chosen and matched with flooring in traditional red Tuscan tiles.

From the moment you approach the tree-lined drive, you know this is a special place. The stunning architecture and gorgeous grounds are truly unique. Service, food, pool, bar are all exceptional. Location is outstanding to explore the Tuscan countryside. My only improvement would be to offer a more casual dinner menu. It's a great menu with delicious food, but sometimes you just want a pizza or something simple. Breakfast was a special treat too. I hope to go back someday!

Hotel's Favorite
Just spent 5 days in beautiful Tuscany and in this amaizing little place . The whole hotel is just beautiful ,rooms rustic but have everything you need and have beautiful terraces to sit and watch the gorgeous scenery and listen to crickets and birds . Food fantastin the main restaurant serves breakfast and dinner and beautiful covered terrace restaurant serves lunch and BBQ evenings . Staff could not be any nicer and look after you so well and always happy sorry too many names to mention as you are all super ❤️We ate most of out meals in the hotel and quite a lot of drinks amaizing wine selection. To be honest we were a bit scared how much we spent but pleasant surprice as it was not as much as we though 👍Best tiramisu ever ❤️. Grounds fantastic and sunbeds lovely and plenty , pool great and relax areas by the restaurant and pool so nice for pre or post drinks and meeting lovely people . You do need a car as there are so many lovely places to visit not that far away . I absolutky loved I and will be back . Thank you ❤️

Just so beautiful, like an Italian postcard. We had two adjoining rooms for our family. Clean rooms and comfortable bed. Could it use some updating in the rooms (fresh coat of paint, drapes)? Sure…but it’s and old place, and that is the charm. One also has to consider that beautiful places like this must have suffered with the COVID loss of tourism and large events (they are a wedding venue and conference site). But that was EASY to get over. The grounds are like a postcard. Food is delicious (the French somollier was somewhat degrading, saying the house wine was “dirty water” to him, but he did have us pegged correctly as the USA simple people that we are!). The bartender was very friendly. The staff, particularly the lovely gentleman who greeted us when we arrived (I wish I knew his name, but he always wore a suit) was gracious and friendly. The grounds are impeccable and classically Tuscan. The pool is gigantic and sparkling clean. Plenty of shaded or sunny areas for lounging on their many comfortable lounge chairs. The grounds are large, and there is plenty of room for families and couples to spread out to relax. Can’t say more about their breakfast buffet. They have everything you can imagine. Would stay here again and again.

Stayed at Borgo San Luigi for 3 nights, wish I had more days out there! The property has everything you need. It's beautiful and well kept. Very good location for a more tranquil trip. They also have a soccer field and clay tennis court that I didn't have a chance to use, unfortunately. It's easy to get some exercise on the property, I had a nice run. The food is exceptional. The breakfast buffet and staff were great. Want to recognize Youssef and all his co-workers, I didn't catch everyone's name. The dinner was also very good and one of the best meals we had in Italy. Will definitely be back in the future.

Absolutely perfect place to get away from the hustle and bustle of the big cities. We stayed here 3 nights during my daughters wedding event. Couldn’t have chosen a better place in the heart of Tuscany. The grounds, the service, the food and wine were as advertised and even better. It’s so nice waking up to song birds and walking outside to beautiful landscaping. We will definitely be back to this hidden gem. Thank you Filipe for the gracious hospitality.

Stayed here for 4 nights as we were attending a wedding nearby. The hotel and grounds are beautiful although it is well off the beaten track and a car is essential. I priced a taxi from the hotel to a town 20 minutes away and was quoted €70 - one way!! Food was delicious, service was good. Breakfast was lovely with a chef making omelettes to order. Clean swimming pool beside the restaurant. The only real downside was that the AC didn't work properly in our room which made sleeping difficult. It is quite expensive though, both for accommodation, food and drink.

Fabulous place with great service. The gardens are a delight, and although the pool is not heated there is plenty to do. Food was a bit expensive for what you get but it’s beautifully served in a lovely restaurant. If you want a relaxing time then this is the place

They have a beautiful garden which is very well mantained. Nice view from our room. Large swimming pool. Tasty menu for dinner. Very dirty and old rooms. Nobody clean the terrace. Dead mosquitoes on the walls. Rusty and slippery tub. Scratched toilet. Cracked sink. Very old furniture. At check in nobody tell you which are the rules to pay the bill for the restaurant.

Our time here was memorable. Amazing room, amazing services, friendly staff. The whole venue is absolutely well looked after and beautiful. The staff at the bar/restaurant were lovely and friendly. I want to send my special recognition and gratitude to them for the great service and warm welcome, and in particular to Hugo from Peru, and Francisco from Bolivia for their hard work, and Francisco for making me and my partner laugh so much. We will remember you and hope will see you again soon. Lots of love. N

Was due to travel here in August and due to Covid restrictions we were unable to travel. No sympathy from the hotel or willing to discuss other options. Hotel management were very rude. Interestingly others have had the same issues. Why would the hotel risk other guests by allowing people from high risk covid19 areas to travel to the hotel? At this time many didn’t have a choice to move the booking. However, when the pandemic is over people will have a choice and remember this customer service and use another hotel, just like i will.

Dear Mike7389, your first review in Tripadvisor is not so nice... We are fully booked (and the same in august), with guests from all Europe: in Italy the situation is very quiet, especially in our region. In March, April, May and June we offered a lot of vouchers when there was reasons to do it. But not now, with all the borders open and without any kind of restriction to visit us. You took your decision, and it was up to you: if you decided to come, you would have enjoyed a beautiful and safe holyday as our guests are doing right now. We applyed the cancellation policies as you choosed (prepayed and not refoundable). We hope you will could come in the future to have a nice holyday by us. Have a nice day Gianluca Corsi
