We have just returned from our holiday and really enjoyed our stay here. The studios were perfect 👍 great location clean spacious and we liked the welcome pack on arrival. The girls that kept it clean went above and beyond to make it very comfortable so thank you not easy in that heat !!! We will definitely return Only little thing I would suggest is maybe more choice of breakfast in the bar area Thank you again

We stayed here a week. We arrived in early hours and were given written directions from coach drop off point to walk down to our room in A block (there are 4, all very close to each other). Found it easily (Recommend flat comfy shoes as Lindos is hilly with lots of very cute but steep lanes) , door was unlocked and key was lying in our welcoming studio. Woke up to stunning view of Acropolis and beautiful Lindos from the lovely patio area. Had 2 single beds pushed together sharing sheets/blanket - they were incredibly comfy! Arthur the manager arrived to welcome us and show us where to find the stunning rooftop bar (in B block). We’d a sink, kettle, refrigerator, 2 ring cooker, toaster (don’t set it too high!), hairdryer, ironing board (iron available in request) and ample pans and cooking utensils including enough tea, coffee sugar etc for a couple of days. There was even washing up liquid and a fresh scourer! There are a couple of supermarkets within 5 mins walk and we bought fresh bread cheese eggs and ham and had a lovely breakfast on the patio area each morning. The shower is very tight but very good - just be careful not to nudge the taps when in as it can get very hot! Maid came every day to make beds/tidy up and towels changed regularly. As long as you are reasonably fit for a steepish climb this is an ideal centrally situated accommodation. Lindos is just stunning. We’d last been here 37 years ago and had great fun revisiting some of the bars and restaurants we remembered plus loads of new ones! The beaches are beautiful. We definitely won’t wait 37 years to return and would be very happy to stay at Xenones again as the staff particularly Arthur are all so lovely and helpful

Myself and my husband booked Xenones in Easter 2021 as the pictures online looked beautiful and as we had previously stayed in the village 15 years ago, we enjoyed it and again wanted to be centrally located. We arrived around midnight and were given 'instructions' to a room in D Block, which we did not know existed. The pictures advertised are in A Block, which was a couple of streets away from D Block. Although our room was good, unfortunately it was located on one of the main routes from Lindos Reception into the village. We spent the first night constantly being woken by mopeds passing outside our bedroom window in the late hours of the night and early hours of the morning. We both ride motorbikes, so this isn't the problem, the lack of sleep is however, especially when the accommodation advertised and booked is not the accommodation we received. We therefore asked if we could change rooms, however despite there being rooms available on Booking.com! we were told there was nothing available until the end of the week (the usual diversion tatic). We then returned to our accommodation to find it riddled with ants, literally they were crawling on me whilst led in bed. We therefore took the decision to move accommodation which we financed ourselves. Had a beautiful room for the week overlooking Lindos Beach - very peaceful!

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you for staying with us. We are sorry to read we have not managed to meet your expectations. Let us point out though that during Easter 2021 we were closed and we only opened early July 2021 due to COVID restrictions (Easter has been in April). Nevertheless,.as advertised everywhere our property consists of 4 blocks, offering clean, safe and basic accommodation along with some essentials and in line with the very competitive rates we offer. We believe you have stayed with us recently, as indeed you asked me for a room change NOT because (as you also point) you did not like the upgraded room you had been initially allocated into.(a family apartment instead of a studio) but because it happened during your first night to experience some noise from the narrow streets our studios (in all of our blocks) attached to. Nevertheless , we were fully booked most of October (you might see one room.available for one night but this does not mean that can be available through out your stay). We advised you immediately about it, as the point was to find a room and change you through out your stay and not make 3-4-5 changes, something would cause you frustration. Hence we tried to reach you during your third day to advise you that we have managed to provide you with an other room, just to find out that you had disappeared with out telling us anything and taking the room key with you. Even like this we did not checked out you and we made up your room waiting that you will get in touch and come back and thinking that you are spending possibly 1-2 nights in Rhodes town. Now we realise that this was not the case. We would appreciate giving us the time and letting us know about your decision. Note that Block D is the latest one fully renovated and pics advertised are just some onlym we have 25 units in the village and all defer between them. Your booking secures the occupancy and room type and not which room this will be and which block the room is allocated. This is clear on every partner of ours / our official web site and the way we have been operating seamlessly the last 15 years. By the way the are no main routes in Lindos. Definately Block D is in the arch way in one of the most away and peaceful up side neighborhood of the village. The fact that during your first night you experienced some noise does not determine anything else I guess. In regards to the ants you are referring, we believe that you never got back to your room since you left on day 2. Even if you did, you could easily have let us know that there are some ants and we would have taken care of it , instead of leaving us in darkness worrying (as you we re not coming for so many days) that sth had happened to yourselves and trying to get in touch with your agency to find out what the case.was. All in all we are disappointed we were not given the chance to accommodate your needs, purely because you did not give us the chance. Last, we feel that during this catastrophy for the humanity and businesses-economy, we do not deserve such a review which shows us an ego and empathy we do not understand. Hope to be able to welcome you in the future. Stay safe. Kind rgds, Arthur Meta Property Manager

First of all, the guesthouse is perfectly located in the middle of old village if Lindos. The host was always friendly and helpful. In Xenones you have a wonderful view over the village to the magnificent Akropolis. Nevertheless there could be improved following issues: 1) There is a bad diagusting smell in the bathroom which comes out of the drain. 2) It is very dark inside ths room. The lights should be changed, especially for womens' dutys. 3) The mattress should be changed, as you can get bad back injuries. Thanks for a fantastic stay at your cute place and for the advices during our stay.

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you for choosing our small basic, village accommodation for your recent stay, So glad you have overall enjoyed your stay, whereas your kind comments are highly appreciated. In regards to your kind suggestions, please note that : 1. Drain smell comes from the water pipe network of the village, which indeed too old and needs to be replaced. Not much we can do about it, as such construction through out the entire village is a very time / cost consuming operation. Again though local government tries its best and smell might come occasionally before / after winter. Apologies for this. 2. We are not allowed to make changes (building wise, such as opening more windows etc) according to the law. We need to preserve the constructions as originally introduced. Hence we are offering beautiful sharing ground level courtyards, along with our common roof top one, full of amazing views and natural light. On the other hand we will gladly check the lights we have installed and if needed, follow your advise and replace them with more powerful :) 3. As we are only a small, basic, village accommodation offering clean, safe and value for money stays, unable to satisfy the mattress wishes of all of our guests. Although those in your room 2 years old, you might have found them too soft. Again we are offering up-mattresses we place above them, for a more comfortable sleep. We wish you had asked for such, while staying with us. For sure we will be checking those placed in your room to be on the safe side. Looking forward to welcoming you back :) Kind rgds, Arthur Meta Property Manager

Arrived late at night as a single female traveller, the detailed instructions of how to find the place were useful. Perfect location for all the bars and restaurants and only slightly further to the choice of beaches. The accommodation was authentic greek village style and had everything i needed. Arther was very welcoming and helpful, and the place was spotlessly clean, the houskeeper was also friendly and the room thoroughly cleaned every 3 days due to Covid. The views of the Acropylis and Lindos village from the terrace bar are outstanding. Highly recommend I would love to return.

We arrived around 4.00pm and luckily the maid was there so managed to get our room key. We had room A1 which is up a few stairs. The room was a good size with a massive bed, it was two single mattresses on a large base which was ok for us. There was a kitchen area with a kettle, toaster and fridge which seemed quite new. Bathroom had a bath with shower over. The shower was a bit high up for me so just used it in my hand. The best thing about the room was the private outdoor area overlooking the Acropolis. Due to covid the room was cleaned every 3 days but the maid was always around if bins needed emptying. We had a problem with the safe, my fault! And the toilet seat was loose but the lovely manager fixed them straight away! All in all we were very happy with our stay and would book again.

Moderate price for a good view of the Acropolis of Lindos, in the village, 7-10’ from the beautiful Agios Pavlos bay but a longer hike to the main Lindos bay. A bit complicated to find coming back from the village center. Generous terasse. Very modest furnishings and moderate maintenance but clean. Super friendly and accommodating host! Overall the price is fair considering the view of a UNESCO heritage monument. Probably best suited for younger couples.

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you for staying with us. Glad to read you have enjoyed your stay. Indeed, we offer nothing, but clean, descent, safe village accommodation, with lots of passion and a great small team. On top, as part of our buildings aged 1+ century old, we try hard to keep them in a functional and descent condition. All in all we are confident we exceed our guests expectations comparing to maybe the most value for money rates in the village. Hope to welcome you back in the near future. Stay safe. As we are 2 married couples and we are seasoned travellers and have been to LINDOS many times, We like to try out different locations in and out of the village ,We were so disappointed at our time at Xenones , As this 2 week holiday had been cancelled twice due to covid restrictions we were so up for it, but as we arrived late that night when, unfortunately the caretaker Arthur went home at 11.30pm, we had to be left to our own devices to find our rooms ,this was not difficult but as so many flights arrive late it would have been nice for someone to take us to our room, The first night we went up to the top lounge for a drink and Arthur informed us that he could not supply us with anymore ice for our drinks as he was running short on ice ? so the next night we supplied him with a full bag of ice my friend purchased at the supermarket for 2 euros ,to be fair to Arthur he said he had no room in his freezer due to food storage, but we found Arthur to be quite unhelpful , We stayed in rooms which were not very good , as our friends had issues with their AC on 2 consecutive nights as the AC Unit was dripping water on both occasions !! as Arthur admittedly said they knew they had a problem with the AC Unit ?? also our friends had no sleep due to the dripping water, They had to turn off the Unit during the night and the heat in the room was unbearable !! also the shower set up on both rooms were terrible !! as they are far to narrow to shower comfortably , As we had to arrange our UK return forms and PCR test results to be printed out we asked Arthur if he could print out 8 sheets and he replied he could only print out a couple !!, , So we asked the local supermarket owner on the beach and he could not have been more helpful and printed out our forms , at no cost to us . Also as we had a late flight :23.30hrs we asked Arthur, if we could have a later checkout and Arthur said this was not possible ,so i then informed him that most of the people we spoke to on the beach ,their hotels and apartment owners allowed them a later check out due to their circumstances and also we found out that their hotel/apartments printed out their return flight paperwork !! which we found most maddening!!! Arthur said we could share a room to shower for 40 euros , and to Arthur,s credit he did give me a telephone number to call for a taxi to take our case back up to Lindos Reception , so needless to say Xenones will not be our choice in the future !!

Dear Guest, We would like to thank you for visiting our small, basic, village accommodation, especially during these difficult times for the humanity and the economy. We are really sorry to read that we have not managed to meet your expectations. On the other hand let us take the liberty to comment on your points. - As we are only a small property, with extremely value for money prices, we offer nothing but, descent, clean, village accommodation, with lots of passion and care for what we are doing. Indeed myself attending daily 8-11.30/12.00 & 18.00 - 23.30 - 23.45 and as stated everywhere, we ask our guests notify us upfront if they are about to arrive late, so that they receive clear, easy, self check in instructions. We are confident you appreciate the fact that its not physically and financially possible to attend 24/7, but we are always a call away. - I informed you the 10th night that iam unable to supply you anymore with ice. Iam afraid that the fact that you were popping in daily, asking for glasses and tons of ice, consuming a small bottle or water or coke had not been appreciated. Indeed you are not supposed to buy anything but on the other hand which bar would allow you to bring daily your own drinks, asking for free ice again and again on top of our equipment? We have never prohibited you getting your own drinks and never asked you to bring us a bag of ice, you did close to the end of your stay, as probably realized that your behavior has not been that appropriate. - We are sorry there was an issue with your AC. Of course we admitted there was one and that is why, as soon as he pointed this out, we called the technician. Apologies for the inconvenience. - We are not obliged to print 8 papers x 4 people for free, especially with the demanding and impolite way you have asked it. We do not even use printers nowadays ourselves. - Free late check out is a gesture of good will. This is possible when rooms are available. In our case iam afraid we were full. Hence a surcharge of 40 euro to keep ONE of the rooms was agreed. Iam afraid free late check out is not possible and your info is not accurate, especially during the high season. Last, let us point out that although you paid to keep one room for late check out, surprisingly we entered and used and other room too, which was intended for an other guest, with out authorization and causing us massive inconvenience. Not that appropriate we guess. All in all as we do not wish to characterize your overall behavior further (or mention other guests complaints towards yourselves), we are certain we delivered a lot more than what you have paid and could expect. So sorry to read that none of these have been appreciated. Stay safe and hope to welcome you some time in the the future again and be given the chance mutually to re- introduce our selves. Kind rgds, Arthur Meta Property Manager

Stayed here on 13th October 2020 in Block A. First time staying at Xenones. Nice big room, extremely clean. More than enough wardrobe space. Decent size shower with curtain. I take my own shower, shampoo, soap etc so can't comment on the ones provided. Shelf, by the mirror in the bedroom, was far too narrow for my make-up, but then I do take too much with me. I could open up a make-up counter, in a store, with the amount I take. Lol. Bed was so comfortable that I had some of the best night sleep I have had in a very long time. There is a shared terrace, with some tables and chairs. Location is central. A 5 minutes walk will take you into the Village. Come out of the Block, turn left follow the road, come to an arch, turn right and follow this into the Village. No steps!. The bar, which is run by Arther, is in Block B. All drinks very reasonably priced. Always had pre-dinner drinks here before heading into the Village. Arther is a credit to Xenones Studios. I watched him deal with a cantankerous guest again and again with such patience and always with a smile. I was impressed. Personally, I found Arther to be an extremely friendly welcoming person who would go above and beyond his duty to make sure you had a pleasant stay. Xenones appeared to have a lot of repeat guests and I am not surprised as the location is fabulous, the rooms are spotless, the welcome is warm and guests are well looked afterand isn't that what everyone wants from a holiday.
