We have just returned from our holiday and really enjoyed our stay here. The studios were perfect 👍 great location clean spacious and we liked the welcome pack on arrival. The girls that kept it clean went above and beyond to make it very comfortable so thank you not easy in that heat !!! We will definitely return Only little thing I would suggest is maybe more choice of breakfast in the bar area Thank you again
We stayed here a week. We arrived in early hours and were given written directions from coach drop off point to walk down to our room in A block (there are 4, all very close to each other). Found it easily (Recommend flat comfy shoes as Lindos is hilly with lots of very cute but steep lanes) , door was unlocked and key was lying in our welcoming studio. Woke up to stunning view of Acropolis and beautiful Lindos from the lovely patio area. Had 2 single beds pushed together sharing sheets/blanket - they were incredibly comfy! Arthur the manager arrived to welcome us and show us where to find the stunning rooftop bar (in B block). We’d a sink, kettle, refrigerator, 2 ring cooker, toaster (don’t set it too high!), hairdryer, ironing board (iron available in request) and ample pans and cooking utensils including enough tea, coffee sugar etc for a couple of days. There was even washing up liquid and a fresh scourer! There are a couple of supermarkets within 5 mins walk and we bought fresh bread cheese eggs and ham and had a lovely breakfast on the patio area each morning. The shower is very tight but very good - just be careful not to nudge the taps when in as it can get very hot! Maid came every day to make beds/tidy up and towels changed regularly. As long as you are reasonably fit for a steepish climb this is an ideal centrally situated accommodation. Lindos is just stunning. We’d last been here 37 years ago and had great fun revisiting some of the bars and restaurants we remembered plus loads of new ones! The beaches are beautiful. We definitely won’t wait 37 years to return and would be very happy to stay at Xenones again as the staff particularly Arthur are all so lovely and helpful…
Myself and my husband booked Xenones in Easter 2021 as the pictures online looked beautiful and as we had previously stayed in the village 15 years ago, we enjoyed it and again wanted to be centrally located. We arrived around midnight and were given 'instructions' to a room in D Block, which we did not know existed. The pictures advertised are in A Block, which was a couple of streets away from D Block. Although our room was good, unfortunately it was located on one of the main routes from Lindos Reception into the village. We spent the first night constantly being woken by mopeds passing outside our bedroom window in the late hours of the night and early hours of the morning. We both ride motorbikes, so this isn't the problem, the lack of sleep is however, especially when the accommodation advertised and booked is not the accommodation we received. We therefore asked if we could change rooms, however despite there being rooms available on Booking.com! we were told there was nothing available until the end of the week (the usual diversion tatic). We then returned to our accommodation to find it riddled with ants, literally they were crawling on me whilst led in bed. We therefore took the decision to move accommodation which we financed ourselves. Had a beautiful room for the week overlooking Lindos Beach - very peaceful!…
First of all, the guesthouse is perfectly located in the middle of old village if Lindos. The host was always friendly and helpful. In Xenones you have a wonderful view over the village to the magnificent Akropolis. Nevertheless there could be improved following issues: 1) There is a bad diagusting smell in the bathroom which comes out of the drain. 2) It is very dark inside ths room. The lights should be changed, especially for womens' dutys. 3) The mattress should be changed, as you can get bad back injuries. Thanks for a fantastic stay at your cute place and for the advices during our stay.
Arrived late at night as a single female traveller, the detailed instructions of how to find the place were useful. Perfect location for all the bars and restaurants and only slightly further to the choice of beaches. The accommodation was authentic greek village style and had everything i needed. Arther was very welcoming and helpful, and the place was spotlessly clean, the houskeeper was also friendly and the room thoroughly cleaned every 3 days due to Covid. The views of the Acropylis and Lindos village from the terrace bar are outstanding. Highly recommend I would love to return.
We arrived around 4.00pm and luckily the maid was there so managed to get our room key. We had room A1 which is up a few stairs. The room was a good size with a massive bed, it was two single mattresses on a large base which was ok for us. There was a kitchen area with a kettle, toaster and fridge which seemed quite new. Bathroom had a bath with shower over. The shower was a bit high up for me so just used it in my hand. The best thing about the room was the private outdoor area overlooking the Acropolis. Due to covid the room was cleaned every 3 days but the maid was always around if bins needed emptying. We had a problem with the safe, my fault! And the toilet seat was loose but the lovely manager fixed them straight away! All in all we were very happy with our stay and would book again. …
Moderate price for a good view of the Acropolis of Lindos, in the village, 7-10’ from the beautiful Agios Pavlos bay but a longer hike to the main Lindos bay. A bit complicated to find coming back from the village center. Generous terasse. Very modest furnishings and moderate maintenance but clean. Super friendly and accommodating host! Overall the price is fair considering the view of a UNESCO heritage monument. Probably best suited for younger couples.
As we are 2 married couples and we are seasoned travellers and have been to LINDOS many times, We like to try out different locations in and out of the village ,We were so disappointed at our time at Xenones , As this 2 week holiday had been cancelled twice due to covid restrictions we were so up for it, but as we arrived late that night when, unfortunately the caretaker Arthur went home at 11.30pm, we had to be left to our own devices to find our rooms ,this was not difficult but as so many flights arrive late it would have been nice for someone to take us to our room, The first night we went up to the top lounge for a drink and Arthur informed us that he could not supply us with anymore ice for our drinks as he was running short on ice ? so the next night we supplied him with a full bag of ice my friend purchased at the supermarket for 2 euros ,to be fair to Arthur he said he had no room in his freezer due to food storage, but we found Arthur to be quite unhelpful , We stayed in rooms which were not very good , as our friends had issues with their AC on 2 consecutive nights as the AC Unit was dripping water on both occasions !! as Arthur admittedly said they knew they had a problem with the AC Unit ?? also our friends had no sleep due to the dripping water, They had to turn off the Unit during the night and the heat in the room was unbearable !! also the shower set up on both rooms were terrible !! as they are far to narrow to shower comfortably , As we had to arrange our UK return forms and PCR test results to be printed out we asked Arthur if he could print out 8 sheets and he replied he could only print out a couple !!, , So we asked the local supermarket owner on the beach and he could not have been more helpful and printed out our forms , at no cost to us . Also as we had a late flight :23.30hrs we asked Arthur, if we could have a later checkout and Arthur said this was not possible ,so i then informed him that most of the people we spoke to on the beach ,their hotels and apartment owners allowed them a later check out due to their circumstances and also we found out that their hotel/apartments printed out their return flight paperwork !! which we found most maddening!!! Arthur said we could share a room to shower for 40 euros , and to Arthur,s credit he did give me a telephone number to call for a taxi to take our case back up to Lindos Reception , so needless to say Xenones will not be our choice in the future !!…
The property is very clean and spacious, very central to the village within walking distance of the beaches and St Pauls bay , fantastic view of the accropolis......the staff are extremely helpful , special thanks to Arthur (manager) nothing was to much trouble for him to help with .....very much appreciated
Stayed here on 13th October 2020 in Block A. First time staying at Xenones. Nice big room, extremely clean. More than enough wardrobe space. Decent size shower with curtain. I take my own shower, shampoo, soap etc so can't comment on the ones provided. Shelf, by the mirror in the bedroom, was far too narrow for my make-up, but then I do take too much with me. I could open up a make-up counter, in a store, with the amount I take. Lol. Bed was so comfortable that I had some of the best night sleep I have had in a very long time. There is a shared terrace, with some tables and chairs. Location is central. A 5 minutes walk will take you into the Village. Come out of the Block, turn left follow the road, come to an arch, turn right and follow this into the Village. No steps!. The bar, which is run by Arther, is in Block B. All drinks very reasonably priced. Always had pre-dinner drinks here before heading into the Village. Arther is a credit to Xenones Studios. I watched him deal with a cantankerous guest again and again with such patience and always with a smile. I was impressed. Personally, I found Arther to be an extremely friendly welcoming person who would go above and beyond his duty to make sure you had a pleasant stay. Xenones appeared to have a lot of repeat guests and I am not surprised as the location is fabulous, the rooms are spotless, the welcome is warm and guests are well looked afterand isn't that what everyone wants from a holiday. …
