Two-star guesthouse, completely refurbished in 2015 which has 25 soundproofed rooms (one of them is adapted for disabled). Our hostal is located in the archeological heart of Mérida, its location is perfect to explore the city on foot without having to take the car. This modern guest house is 100 metres from the National Museum of Roman Art and 150 metres from the Roman Amphitheatre. Furthermore, the Temple of Diana and one of the Roman Forums are located in the same street where we are located. The hostal has a lift, Wi-Fi internet access and laundry service. All rooms have air conditioning and modern private bathrooms and plasma-screen TV. The reception has city maps and tourist information service. There is a comfortable and small lounge. Moreover, there is an attractive courtyard with flowers, which is a perfect place to relax after a day of tourism. The hostal also has machines that sell drinks and snacks. All the place is designed to make your stay as pleasant as possible.

Ideal location for exploring Merida - right in the heart of the old town within minutes walk of all the attractions. Staff are very helpful, and the accommodation is comfortable and clean. The decor is enhanced by ceramic art by local artists. Avoid room 7...More

El Alfarero was a surprise to us: it was very brightly decorated, light and easily accessible to all parts of the small city. What astounded us is the Roman Ruins a half block away on the same street. We shared a bathroom on the third...More

Agree with previous reviewer. Clean, tidy hotel with helpful staff. Parking a bit tricky to work out, but make sure you get the parking ticket at Cerventes stamped by the hotel and you will only pay €8 per day. Also found nearby food poor, but...More

This moderately priced hotel is really just minutes away from what you need in Merida -- the Museum, Roman Theatre, Ampitheatre, Plaza de Espana etc. Good value for money. Well maintained rooms, with perhaps the only negative being a rather sophisticated shower console that does...More
