The hotel was in a great spot, walking distance to the museum, roman theater/amphitheater, etc., restaurants and there is a little grocery store down the street by the temple to get food. The hotel room was a little dated but the bathroom was updated. There is a secure car park for 11 euros.

The hotel is nothing special but alright to visit the town, the room was spacious en the bathroom alright, could have a bit better cleaning or actually should be renewed. The breakfast was adequate but nothing special friendliness could be better.

Crummy rooms, poor A/C, dumpy interiors, and bad breakfast. If it is hot, you have to ask them to turn on the main controller for the master A/C for the hotel. Otherwise you will swelter. It was generally clean, and the employees relatively nice. However, this place is a tourist dump.

This is a great located hotel with secure parking in the city centre. Rooms nice and clean although a little basic. Well worth 3 star rating. Staff were helpful, and breakfast was good. Only stayed one night on route South, but hotel was perfect for visiting amphitheatre.

These were the reasons we chose this hotel, as well as the fact that the Parador is outrageously expensive during the July theatre festival and the Nova Roma was half the price. The lady on reception was friendly and helpful. We had a large comfortable room on the second floor and the essential (in July) airco worked well. The hotel...

This is a well located hotel with secure parking and good wifi, the staff are very helpful, but beware they don't speak any English, this is not a criticism I should speak more Spanish. It is a clean and well kept hotel which I've used on two occasions and would use again

Friendly staff and pleasant room. Restaurant was not open but Reception gave us a good recommendation just a short stroll away. Internet is slow and patchy. My shower was fine but not very strong. As the other reviewers say, the carpark was Euros10 for the night, but worth it to know that it is secure. I left my laptop cable...

The Nova Roma is centrally located for sightseeing in Merida and you can leave the car in the car park albeit at a €10 fee per night. The rooms are small and the shower head would not allow water to be sprayed on the body. The television has no English channels and reception probably doesn't speak English. Breakfast is a...

This was the first hotel we came across and because it had parking, we stopped for a night. However, the parking was 10 Euros for the night. The room was clean and you can open the windows which is a bonus not having to rely on air on. But the bath had a flexible shower head which was passed its...

“All rooms would be fine, although being in a city higher floors may be quieter. We were on 2nd floor and that was very quiet.”

“If you are travelling alone, ask for a large bed as the singles/twins are a bit on the narrow side! And also non smoking as Spain is still largely a smoking population.”

“There are 2 lifts! One is hidden away near the staircase. Watch out for the lethal glass table in the sitting area of reception. A beautiful piece of furniture but as it is almost invisible in places some of us got nasty bruises! Also mind the step as you come in to the hotel. WE did not know of any one who had a room with a view but it was very peaceful and we all got a good nights sleep!”
