This hotel is an attractive old building with all mod cons. Staff very helpful , easy parking. It’s a few minutes walk to the old town etc but that was pleasant enough . Very good choice at breakfast . Yes it was a shame the spa was closed but that was clear before we booked. I had asked for a quiet room which is presumably why we were in the annex at the back while our friends were in what looked like the penthouse ! We had all the same facilities but no view and with dark green walls and black ceiling it was always dark . No doubt an asset in summer. Good value and recommended
Set outside the immediate centre of Cadiz this hotel delivered a memorable experience at a very good price. The room was very well furnished. Spa was closed. Highly recommended for all types of travellers
Staff really helpful, Hotel and rooms very clean. Main city centre/Cathedral 10 mins walk away. Its a shame that the bar, gym & spa was closed, not the fault of Hotel. Blame Mr Covid-19. Pleasant stay and would stay again
A beautiful old building just minutes from town that has been delightfully restored. Ours was a big modern room, tastefully decorated, with a nice big bathroom. We went for a standard room and were delighted by the coffee machine and the lovely Lalique toiletries. Although we were at the front of the building on the 3rd floor, it wasn’t too noisy. There’s a lively Irish bar directly across the road but the (very good) band that was playing there one night finished up early in the evening. If I had to quibble, the room was a tad dark because it only had one smallish window but this wasn’t really a problem. We didn’t try the breakfast or the spa. It’s a bit of a walk from the city’s main train and bus stations, around 20 minutes but close to the town, a walk of 5-10 minutes.
We were on a whistle stop tour of Jerez and chose Soho Boutique; and so glad we did! In a converted Bodega... traditional but with contempoary rooms...... excellent helpful receptionist who provided us with a map and pointed out the areas we wanted to see and visit etc very clean and comfortable room (we went out of season and got a fabulous free upgrade!) we didn't get to se all that we wanted so will be returning in the spring and will definately stay at Soho Boutique again.
My partner and I stayed with 6 friends for 5 nights In November. Lovely hotel helpful staff and very central for sights and restaurants. We were in the premier rooms which were large with a mezzanine living room area complete with coffee pod machine. The rooms were cleaned and set fair immaculately every day. The type of holiday we had meant we never used the spa or supporting facilities (we were on a motorcycle track 3 day event) so no feedback on that. Would certainly come back to this hotel
We received a room in the annex. The room was a very narrow and dark, more like a corridor ca 3 m wide but very long. It was in two levels with a small sitting place on the second level also a TV slightly bigger than a large I-pad and a espresso machine. At the end of the room there was one small window which could be opened, on the second level also a narrow window but not possible to open. On the second level you only could see a wall 2 m away. on the first level the view was part of a street and another wall. It was possible to sleep there but nothing else. The internet only worked in the toilet/wc and not all the time. The breakfast was good, but if you are drinking tea in the morning, be prepared for a very slow filling of your teacup. The machine is not the best. On the other hand the espresso from the same machine was excellent.…
Set in a stylish building this was a fabulous find. Room was very high quality and for what we paid it was excellent value. Only downside was that the pool area was closed for the season however it was still 35DegC outside and a cool dip would have been most welcome.
I had a one night stay at the Soho Boutique Hotel. I had arrived early so my room wasn't ready, however I asked the receptionist if I could sit at reception and work and that was OK. She was very friendly and took my suitcase for safe keeping. When I got to my room I was very pleased with the way it was set out. A very nice room, comfortable and airy. My only complaint was the lack of an open bar and restaurant. Maybe it was the time of year being the end of the holiday season. Wi-fi was very good, fast and efficient. I ended up having an evening meal at a little cafe bar across the street, however there is an Irish theme pub called O' Donohues which is very pleasant and literally across the road from the hotel.
I stayed for four nights at Soho Boutique Jerez and it fit the bill for me - a solo traveller - perfectly. My room was clean and had a small balcony and view of the pool. The sound proofing was great, having a door separating the bedroom from an inner hall with the bathroom and main door leading off. The pool was small but seemed the right size for the number of guests - I used it at different times of day and it was never too crowded. The hotel is in a good location - about a 10 min walk from the old town and a 20 min walk to the train & bus stations. Several bodegas are nearby. Definitely worth considering staying here if you’re in Jerez.
