It took us a second tour around to find the parador as the satnav wasn't particularly effective. It was free parking but only ablout 6 spaces otherwise I think they use a parking area away from the hotel. Luiz who met us spoke excellent English and told us a bit about the parador which is 2 buildings into one, 14th... More

What an amazing place to stay! Our greeting was so warm and welcoming - we had originally booked a 'family room'. It was explained to us that this type of a room was really not one of the best options in the hotel as it meant a double bed and a very small cot in a large room. However, the... More

All Paradors in Spain are well worth staying in. They are not too expensive and have some of the best restaurants in the area. You will not be disappointed with th Parador de Caceras. The rooms were wonderful, the food was delicious and the staff were brilliant. The fact that you will be in one of the most interesting towns... More

Wonderful three night stay here. Cacares has the third best preserved medieval old town in Europe, and the Parador is bang in the heart of it. Note as you walk in the front on top of the entrance gate is the pediment and three balls, the symbol of the Parador hotel group! Very quiet hotel, good service and ok breakfast... More

Not luxurious, but the location is perfect; Right in the centre of Cáceres. The room was a bit small although the bathroom was ample and it's got the historic element which makes it a very charming place. Cáceres is an astonishing historic city not known by most of foreign turists

The old part of Caceres is so amazing and the parador fits in both architecturally and geographically. The staff was great and the room very well appointed. It no longer retains the flavor of an old palace but the location is amazing. Take a night time walk around the old part of the city. It is a lovely experience. The... More

A fabulous hotel in a stunning location, an old castle that has been carefully converted in to a beautiful hotel. The room is to a very high standard and the reception staff could not be more helpful. The only negative was the staff in the restaurant were a bit snooty and unhelpful.

Lets start with the good stuff...Like most Paradores the restored historical structure had a wonderful room which is an exceptional value. Additionally, like most Paradores the front desk is extremely helpful, flexible and multi-lingual. The rooms are exceptionally clean and quite spacious for Europe. The breakfast buffet is first class and the onsite restaurant was excellent and the outside tables... More

Parador hotels properties are special and historical. We have tried several Parador properties and found the services and standards varied across the spectrum. The best one we stayed so far is still the one in Santiago and hoping the one in Granada will be good. Merida and Caceres have been disappointing. In Caceres they are so many beautiful properties I... More

We've stayed in this parador before and loved the ambience and teeming busy exciting atmosphere! They remodeled the place and it was very nice.... but the remodel changed it and as a result the place somehow lost the fun exciting feel. It seemed very boring, modern and clean-cut. Too bad!
